76 Life Burst

The explosion dispersed leaving behind Sagar standing over what remained of the fiend, which wasn't much. The clothing he had been wearing was non-existent showing all the bones underneath them with the only bones remaining being some rib fragments and an eye socket which even now were starting to fade away slowly. Sagar wasn't in much better condition though as body was completely scared from the burns he received, it almost looked like his body was about to break apart but it managed to keep itself together. Matador's sword that was originally inside of his chest was destroyed and Jekyll had long been unsummoned restoring the hole made in his chest.

He was only able to stand for a moment before he collapsed his body hitting the ground without resistance. Sagar was on the verge of losing consciousness but he heard the fiend start talking, "My judgement was mistaken and I'm paying for it now it seems. I honestly thought you were bluffing but the result differ from what I thought. I truly enjoyed our duel Sagar and I'm glad to be defeated by such an opponent."

After finishing his sentence the fiend didn't speak so Sagar assumed he had finally died. He wouldn't remain conscious for much longer but just hoped that the reinforcements that he had sent the girls to go get arrive soon otherwise he could end up dying. The move he had used to defeat Matador with was something he had planned to use for some time now, it was the explosion spell he dread ever using 'Life Burst'. It's use was really simple, compact all of your mana into body forming around the user's mana core. When the energy is condensed enough it would want release of some kind resulting in the devastating explosion he just used. He wasn't really sure if the normal version would be enough to take down Matador, so he planned to just fuse the nuclear element with it for added effect. Fortunately he was able to awaken Jekyll allowing him to use the Almighty element instead insuring the death of the fiend.

Sagar couldn't lead out with the attack because he needed to be confidant that Matador would take enough damage from the spell to defeat him, he was also against using the spell unless absolutely forced to. His body would have to be in better condition to be able to survive the spell use normally but Sagar had long had insurance for such a thing happening. For the longest time now he hadn't bought anything from the [Shop] function and was simply building up the points he's earned for the past few years. It was to be able to purchase the Status Enhancement Passive known as 'Endure', which cost an astronomical amount of points, even more so than the other things in the [Shop] that already cost a lot of points. He had bought it just two months ago and had not been able to accumulate much points since then not allowing him to purchase more items during the fight.

'Endure' allows Sagar to essentially die once a day and revives him after the fact. Whenever he had finished unleashing 'Life Burst' he had actually died from it along from the previous wounds that he had suffered. With 'Endure' he was able to come back to life but he is still had death's door and without any sort of help he will end up dying anyway. As he closed his eyes he could only hope help arrived on time.

Quinn and Gammel were quickly racing over to where the explosion occurred with the girls following along with them on Tenmo. Quinn had already told them to leave but seeing the explosion and hearing from Gammel that Sagar was in the middle of it they disregard the teacher's statement. Still since the location of Sagar was known the two didn't need to rely on Umbra and Talia leading them so they were far ahead of them. It didn't take more than two minutes for the two to arrive at the large crater formed from the blast.

"That boy was really trying to kill that undead, even after he used whatever technique that caused this, there remains this volatile energy.", Quinn then kick a small rock into the crater and watched the reaction. The rock started to degrade rapidly like some invisible force was trying to tear it down, it may have been slow but it was still there. "Any idea what he used?"

Gammel was familiar with the spells of the Drak family being a friend of Simon, "It's something I've only seen Simon use a couple of times and it was whenever he was in a pinch. I heard from him that it's called 'Life Burst' and it's not something to be used lightly as it could easily result in the users death. When Simon used it he was always heavily injured on the brink of death, so I suggest we move quickly, but even then we might be too late."

Quinn agreed, "Me and you would be fine entering this energy but the girls wouldn't be able to last long under it's effects before they began to suffer the negative aspects of it. I'll go and retrieve Sagar while you remain here to take us back to the camp."

Quinn then entered the crater going towards the center of it where he assumed Sagar would be located. The volatile energy that encased the crater didn't seem to have not affect on him almost like it wasn't there. He also made sure to look around in case that undead that the girls mentioned somehow survived that blast but he was able to make his way over to Sagar's body without trouble. The boy's body was completely scarred with burns almost black in color and looking closely it seemed as if his body was barely able to stop itself from turning into dust. Quinn carefully approached the body and tried to find any sort of signs that Sagar was still alive. He felt the breath coming out of his nose and felt the pulse on the boy's neck so it seems that they were able to make it time to save his life. They still had to be quick about it because like Gammel said he was essentially about to die.

Not long after Quinn had entered the crater the old man raised a spacial barrier in the area in front of him. He didn't do it for no reason because as soon as he did a large panther ran right into it knocking it onto the ground throwing off the two girls on top of him. Talia got off the ground screaming, "What the hell, old man!? What'd you do that for!?"

Umbra was rubbing her bottom while Tenmo was using his paws to rub the pain on his head from when he ran into the barrier. "I'm keeping you two from entering the crater. You may have not noticed but the energy within it is quite dangerous for you two so I would suggest you wait here while Quinn goes and retrieves the lad."

The two quickly understood what Gammel did and didn't really question it after all he had no reason to lie to them. It didn't take long after their arrival for Quinn to show back up carrying a charred body within his arms. Umbra and Talia wanted to rush up to check up on Sagar but seeing the condition of his body shocked the two still, they weren't able to move much from their spots.

"And the undead did you see any signs of it?", Gammel asked the other pressing matter they came out to deal with besides the rescue of Sagar.

Quinn shook his head, "No, the boy did a good job of annihilating it, well either that or it somehow escaped. I didn't see any signs of it so this is all I could assume."

Gammel nodded, "Well we could ask the boy once he's treated."

Hearing Gammel's statement the girls became somewhat relieved at the fact that Sagar was still alive even in his current state. They let out large sighs of relief and finally approached Quinn to try and help him in taking care of Sagar. On the other hand Gammel closed his eyes trying to focus a bit before he moved everyone back to the camp. He wouldn't be able to teleport far distances being nearby unstable space as he could end up messing up the spell due to a mistake. The space around them was not stable at all with the fight between Sagar and the undead just reaching it's climax not too long ago but it was also because of the end of this fight that Gammel was able to accomplish his current action. With the fighting over he could forcibly stabilize the space and while it wouldn't be for more than a couple of seconds it would be enough for him to teleport everyone.

When Gammel opened his eyes, everyone around him were wrapped in a weird kind of space before the space collapsed taking them with it.
