23 Journey

To get to Verreaux from Mountain Village it would take about four days on the carriage. When they arrive they were going to go straight to the Drak family residence so Beatrice can finish whatever business that needed to be taken care of there.

They would've gone to go see Garris first as the branch of Silverback was located there but they found out a while ago that he would be out on a mission when they would arrive in Verreaux.

In the meantime Sagar was going to relax a bit but also keep a lookout as well in case anything tried to attack them. Even if his mother was more powerful than him currently and would be more than capable enough to protect both him and Aquilia he still wanted to help out, so he had Pyro Jack and Badb Catha in the area nearby clearing out anything that tried to pose a danger to his family.

With all the fighting they've done it seemed like there power was increasing with every battle they've fought. His only two demons were probably going to evolve soon and he wondered what sort of demons they would turn into. He was thinking of picking up another demon from the system as he had a good amount of points but he decided to put it off for now.

Besides occupying himself with that he also focused on trying to learn the magic element that the Drak family specialized in. From what his mother told him each family of mages usually had a specific element that they developed from the long legacies that have been preserved by the family.

For the Drak family they used to be specialized as fire element mages at least that was until one of their ancestors from long ago found a derivative element which the Drak family has been using ever since.

The element in question was explosions.

When Sagar heard this from his mother he thought she was slightly joking because even with all the weird elements he learned from the system, explosions just seemed too weird to be considered its own element, but he changed his mind when his mother demonstrated some of the things you could do with such a thing.

For the past few months he had been learning how to use it from his mother and had a decent handle on it as he was fully capable of manipulating it but he himself didn't know much else aside from that.

His mother just told him that there would be books he could look over at the Drak residence so he was looking forward to that but he still didn't want to take a break from learning it.

He decided that while he was at Skoll Academy he wouldn't really use his Almighty element, at least not too much. If he used something else that wasn't a present element known to Mellem it would be fine as it wouldn't be too difficult to explain how he discovered it.

Almighty on the other hand was too powerful and domineering. Sagar wasn't sure of all the elements present in the world but Almighty would definitely be at the top of the pile at the very least.

That's why he decided to mainly use a second element as a replacement for the most part and what better element to pick than the one that the Drak family uses. They were going to be his backer for when he is in the academy so he felt he might as well play the part.

The only exception was that he was going to keep his last name Ganymede which might confuse some people. After all even if his father's family wasn't as famous as the Drak family it was still well known as being a warrior family in the Griffin Empire, so here comes a boy who shares the last name as them but is a mage while wearing a family crest of another family.

It didn't really matter to Sagar but he hoped it wouldn't cause any annoying problems to crop up while he was attending the academy.

Even if he had the Almighty element and had trained in every sort of element the system provided him there was still things it hadn't taught him either. It wasn't the fault of the system itself as it had a designated role and it was just fulfilling it, so one of his main goal's while attending the academy was to learn the different kinds of elements that were there or at least get a basic understanding of unknown ones so that he could fight against their users better.

The next four days past by pretty fast even though Sagar and his family were stuck in a carriage. The carriage itself had more room in it than you would think, which Sagar thought was because of the crystals embedded within it. He didn't know too much about crystals besides their basic use and how to identify some of them but that was about it. He also didn't plan to learn too much about it as he felt that he already had his focus spread out on too many things already and adding crystals to the list wouldn't do nothing but slow down his pace.

The other neat thing they were able to do was that the carriage was able to act like an automobile for the most part. It had nothing pulling it but would just be directed by the driver with whatever device they had attached to it for them to use.

His mother told him that these sorts of carriages were actually not too common as only those with a good amount of wealth would be able to keep up with costs of using one not to mention building it.

In the afternoon of their fourth day of travel Verreaux finally came into view, at least that was what Sagar assumed because he couldn't think of anywhere else that had such walls and defensive covering as far as he could see.

There was a line to enter but it was moving at a decent pace that one wouldn't really complain about. It seemed that the guards were pretty efficient at what they do so once they cleared someone to enter they would let them in with no problem.

There was also a fee to enter the city as well but that wasn't a problem as it was of a relatively cheap price by Sagar's standards. He felt like most people from Mountain Village could enter the capital if they felt like it.

When they were finally let through Sagar was honestly feeling a bit excited as this would mark a new chapter in his life.
