64 Camp

Over the next two weeks of his break Sagar spent his time in the morning training with Simon which allowed him to improve in various ways with his applications of the explosion element. Sagar knew that Simon found out that he could use both internal energy and mana the day he spied on his fight with the investigation squad but Simon never brought it up so Sagar never talked to him about it. He guessed Simon was just going to let him figure things out for himself in that regard but Sagar couldn't really blame him. Sagar was one of five individuals that has been able to achieve this sort of thing as for the others they had either died or went missing at some point so he couldn't exactly go out and search for them.

Other than that Sagar spent time with his family to make up for the missing time from when he was at the academy for five months. After having the discussion of his grandparents with his mother, Sagar and Beatrice had a bit of an awkward air between each other but they eventually got over it considering the importance of the topic that they had discussed. Both Beatrice and Garris worked most of the time but whenever either of them had off time they would spend it with Sagar and Aquilia. If both were working Sagar would take Aquilia to go hang out with the girls for the day or just play with her until their parents got back.

With the break coming to an end Sagar and Talia said goodbye to their families and along with Umbra returned back to Skoll Academy. When they came back they managed to meet up with Klaus and ask him about how his break went. He joyfully recalled the large hunting expedition he went on and the various beasts he was able to fight during it as well, telling the trio that the worst part was coming back to the academy.

Everyone continued with their daily schedules at the academy until four months later when the end of the academy year was approaching. Everyone didn't have any trouble with the final exams of their classes with them mostly being written tests. The only exception were classes like 'Weapon Mastery I'

where Umbra, Klaus, and Sagar had to survive under the assault of their instructor for a minute using only their skill with their weapon for a full minute. Sounds easy but the instructors didn't bother holding back at causing several of the students to suffer but in the end everyone did pass.

Umbra's lessons with the principal didn't really have a final exam as she would continue to learn from him in the following years were would then lead to their final lesson. Sagar was sure that it wouldn't be easy for Umbra but there was still plenty of time before then to be prepared to face such a thing.

With the end of the year here sign-ups for the training camp were taking place. The training camp would last over these next three months until a week before the start of the new academy year. When signing up students would select a group they would be traveling with as the portal that was utilized by the academy could only accommodate a hundred people. This was a hundred people so only about ninety students could sign-up for one group because at least ten teachers or staff must come along with them to make sure nothing bad happens and to also help with the training.

Filling out the form it would inform you about what kind of environment the training camp was going to located in. There were multiple training camps with each one going to different environment depending on the students choice, even then since there were so many students some training camps end up being sent to the same place. The group decided that they would go to a grassy plains with rolling hills, mainly spurred on by Sagar as he wanted to go somewhere else besides a forest. So far in this life it's pretty much the only place he's lived so he would rather go somewhere different to change up the mundane. The others agreed as they had been in the same predicament as him as they lived in the same area. There were places in the Empire that weren't mainly covered in forest area, it's just the southern part of the Empire that they were located in was and they hadn't gone to the more northern areas.

The place they would be teleport ed to already has several facilities for students and staff to use. With these camps being a yearly thing these facilities were built seeing as they would be going there a lot and there was a barrier set around them as to not allow any outsiders destroy or infiltrate the camp. These facilities were actually very old and not even the oldest person that Sagar could find on academy grounds, which happened to be Gammel, knew when they were built but according to the old man they were in better condition than you would think. Along with these facilities there was also places for the students to live but unlike their dorm they would have to share with others but of course it was still separated by the sexes of the students.

When the day arrived to go to the training camps Sagar finally was able to land his eyes on the building used for teleporting the students. Usually you wouldn't be able to look at the building as when it's not in use it would be cloaked in energy allowing it to turn invisible and not only that but it also hid the fluctuations of energy coming from the building not letting others even feel it's presence unless they knew it was there. Umbra told Sagar that this was something the academy itself could mess with as it was set up at a time when the academy would be attacked by outside forces, with this no longer being the case their was no reason for the building to be cloaked but nobody wanted to changed it in case they messed something up and they would just prefer to leave it alone.

To call it building as well would be giving it a bit too much credit as it was more of a structure than anything. Surrounding the giant rune that teleported people where three pillars that shot out into the sky eventually coming together to make a point, sort of like a spiral. These pillars themselves were completely made out of cubes that randomly changed sizes as they made their way up to the point of the spiral. Sagar wasn't sure if the point of this had to due with the functionality of the portal or if it was simply an aesthetic decision made by the one who made it. Either way Sagar would just be fine with the thing working and not accidentally turning him into jam because of a malfunction.

The age of structure along with the fact that it used runes instead of using a crystal formation changed how it would be activated and because of the function of the portal it actually took a great deal of energy to use it. Several staff would have to surround the portal itself infusing their energy into it while saying a chant, in some kind of language that he couldn't really identify, and after listening to it a number of times, Sagar could tell that it remained the same for the most part until the end of the chant was reached. At that point they would change a couple of words around which Sagar guessed would help determine the specific location of the teleportation.

The beginning of the transportation began in the morning and by the time Sagar and company arrived at the portal along with the rest of their training camp, the sun was already high in the sky. The staff surrounding the portal started the chant with their energy slowly entering the giant rune which began to light up. When the light reached it's precipice and eventually receded everyone standing on the rune had been teleported.
