73 Beast Eye

While the girls were crying for help the giant panther continued to make it's way over to the camp. Weirdly nobody could hear the foot steps of the beast even though it's size and the fact that it was running would indicate some sort of noise would be made. Besides Quinn and Ian other staff showed up hearing the shouts of the two girls with the beast they were riding on coming to a stop right in front of them.

Quinn saw that it wasn't only Umbra and Talia on the back of the beast but also an unconscious Klaus. Walking towards the beast Quinn tried calming down the two who were still shouting but were also hastily trying to explain what happened. "I need you two to calm down a bit and clearly explain what's going on."

After settling down it was Umbra who gave a detailed explanation of what they currently know, from when the communication went off whenever they were setting up camp to when they started riding on this beast. From what Quinn could gather a weird undead attacked Klaus and was currently engaged with Sagar. This so called undead could even talk having a complete conversation with them and it even has it's own morals it seems. Otherwise why else would it even allow them to take away Klaus and let them flee here just to fight with Sagar.

The weirdest part of this story was that this undead was apparently seeking out someone and from what he heard it was most likely Sagar. Not only that but Sagar also seemed to know what the undead was as well going off of the conversation the two girls heard.

The beast that they were riding on was simply the familiar that Umbra had just summoned with the help of Talia. It was quite the impressive feat as it doesn't only take energy to be able to summon a familiar it also required you to have an understanding of the rune carved and the necessary runes as well.

Having and understanding of the situation Quinn needed to act fast if they wanted to get over to Sagar before he ends up dying. Turning to the crowd he called out, "Gammel, you there?"

Pushing his way from the back the old man showed, "Do you need something?"

"Don't act dumb.", Quinn retorted to him, "Girls, you said that that you were able to find your way over to Klaus I want you to give on to Gammel over here so he could track the signature and we could quickly go to where the battle is."

Hearing his statement the two paled a little, and Umbra quickly clarified, "We only have three communication crystals while two are on Talia and I, the last one was given to Klaus and should still be on his person."

Before he could sigh Gammel added, "Even if we could trace it the resulting battle would make the space around the area too unstable not allowing me to teleport there."

"I know old man, but I figured you could at least get us close to the location at least cutting out the amount of distance needed to travel. I'll still need you to come with me anyway so just follow along.", Quinn then turned to the girls, "You're going to have to direct us to where battles taking place, I could hardly tell what the area you were talking about is and the old man can't teleport anywhere he doesn't have a concise location to. Don't worry about taking us on you're familiar there both of us can keep up even if the old man doesn't look like he could. Oh and just lay Klaus down someone here will make sure he's all right."

Talia and Umbra subsequently took down Klaus, hopping back on the panther taking off into the direction that they came from. Quinn followed at a brisk speed not any slower than the panther which was surprising considering that he was a mage. Gammel on the other hand started walking but weirdly enough if you took your eyes off of him he would suddenly be a lot closer to the others all of a sudden.

Looking at the three Matador's in shock Sagar realized the spell that he had just used just now. It was called 'Beast Eye', it was a spell that was used more for the mechanics of the games more than anything. While turn-based they would use a system that you would work either giving you more actions to use in a single turn or stripping you of those action. 'Beast Eye' was spell that could only be utilized by opposing demons and was something that the player character wasn't able to acquire. The spell would give the demon and extra two actions they are able to perform per turn and now it's been transformed into something that allows the demon to clone instead.

This was entirely out of Sagar's expectations and could easily spell his disaster but still he must press on and at least survive long enough for the reinforcements that Umbra and Talia were bringing. Even though his entire party was buffed they were barely pushing back one Matador, he could only hope that his demons could hold off the other two while he fights one as well.

The three Matadors moved the clones moving just as fast as the original showing that nothing had changed about them besides that they were copies. The original targeted Sagar while they other two were going to focus on Berith and Sarasvati. Sagar met the original with great vigor and hope that that his demons could survive the slew of attacks thrown their way, especially fro Sarasvati as she was the physically weakest among them.

Sarasvati was launching several ice and lightning elemental spells towards the incoming Matador clone which all landed but hardly stopped his charge. Matador was taking the hits to allow itself get closer to Sarasvati and once it was in range it launched one of it's techniques, 'Andalucia', thrusting out his sword several times. Before the attack could hit it's mark Sarasvati casted a spell raising a barrier around her body which absorbed all the thrusts thrown at her leaving her unharmed. She followed up with a strum of her lute sending out more spells to attack the Matador clone.

On Berith's side he was sustaining more damage as he didn't have the amount of spells that Sarasvati had. He instead was trying to keep the Matador clone no time to try to unleash any sort of technique that could heavily damage him. The normal attacks weren't light but with his defense boosted he would be able to sustain himself. If the clone tried to back away from him he would just use 'Agilao' or even it's multi-targeting version 'Maragion', to try and direct the clone closer to him even if the spell didn't hit.

Sagar was using mainly physical techniques to try and save up his mana to try and heal himself whenever he could. He was also supporting Berith and Sarasvati by giving out different items that he had saved up from the [Shop], which mainly consisted of life stones and chakra drops, healing them and restoring their mana respectively. Since they weren't as injured as Beatrice was, he didn't need them to ingest the items. Him simply crushing the item and willing it to them worked just as well.

Even though he was sustaining a lot of injury he was able to get a good amount of hits on Matador was well but that wasn't enough to put down the fiend. The only thing that gave him some hope of surviving was the fact that Matador wasn't able to heal. Now all Sagar could do was hold out until reinforcements arrived.
