2 Meng Yan

"What are you?!!" he asked as he hear the robotic voice inside his head. He was shocked when he heard it as he don't know where it came from.

"Host doesn't need to panic, I am the system given to you by the Almighty True God because you die in such an interesting way. I am like the system in the novels that you read, as I said earlier with enough system points you can buy anything." the robotic voice inside his head replied.

"System? Can I also buy the abilities or skills from the anime and novels that I know?" Xing asked the system.

"Yes host, you can learn any skills or techniques, you can buy any weapons and items from anime and novels." replied the system.

Hearing the robotic voice of the system inside his head, Xing become lost in his thought for a short time. This system was necessary for him in this unknown new world, with the help of the system, he have a certain way to get stronger and be able to protect himself in case he needed.

"Okay, I understand. Is there anything else that I needed to know?" he said to the system inside his mind.

"The system points, host can acquire system points by killing anything, by exchanging some items and by completing a missions that will be given by the system." the system said to him.

"Is that all? Don't you have some sort of welcoming gift for me?" Xing said to the system as he can't believe that there would be no welcoming gift like from the novels with a system that he read.

"Host will receive a Welcoming Gift Box from the system, but host will only be able to open it when he was five years old. So host need to wait for a little more time." when Xing heard the first part of the sentence he almost jump out of excitement, but when he heard that he will be able to open it when he become five years hold, he become dejected.

"Host it is just a short time to wait, even though you opens it now, it won't have any use as you are still a baby. So please just wait patiently." the system felt that he becomes dejected because of such a small matter, explained to him on why he can't have it for now.

"All right, I will wait patiently." he replied helplessly inside his head.

And so, the waiting game officially started...

Inside the mansion of the Meng family, Lin Xing was following behind a young girl. No, following was not the right word, he was being dragged by the young girl as she hold his hand and ran.

In these 3 years time, he had learned many things. Like the name of the kingdom where he was, the empire where the kingdom was, the continent where the empire was and many other things like writing and reading. He also learn that the Meng family where his father work as a butler have a noble title of Duke.

"Little Xing come on follow me" the little girl said ah she continue to drag him. The name of the little girl was Meng Yan, she was the only daughter of the duke and his favorite child. She was eight years old energetic little girl.

"Young Lady Meng, where are we going this time?" Xing knew that only trouble awaits for him everytime Meng Yan dragged him to play. Just like the other day when she dragged him out and enters the slum area of the capital. There she saw a little girl being bullied by the boys of her age, she instantly went berserk and beat up the boys until their face was swollen like a pig. He was having a difficult time with her, she was so righteous and always tell him that the strong must protect and help the weak. Whenever he heard her say that, he will always have the urged to vomit.

"I said don't call me like that, call me Big Sister Meng" Meng Yan stopped and turn around and look at him angrily. She puffed out he non existent chest and raise her head high. She was acting like a haughty boss in front of him, but it just make her even more cuter.

"Alright Big Sister Meng, can you now please tell me where are we going?" he said in defeated tone.

"Hhmp, my father wants to send me to the 'Jade Flower Sect' to practice martial arts. We are running away from home, who said that I want to practice martial arts. Hhmp, I've decided to take you with me because I know you will cry when I leave you" she said with a snort while her nose twitch a little.

When he heard what she just said, he wanted to bang his head into a wall. 'Why don't you just agree and leave me alone? Why are your voice sounded so sure that I will cry if you leave me. Okay that was true I will cry, but not because I am sad that you leave, I will cry tears of joy because you finally leave me. What is wrong with your little head.' he can only complain to himself as he take a deep breath.

"Young Lady Meng so this is where you are." the two of them heard a voice shocking Meng Yan greatly.

They saw behind them the butler and Lin Xing's father, Lin Feng. He was wearing his usual butler outfit as he walk towards the two of them.

"Young Lady Meng, your father ordered me to bring you back for the preparations of your departure to 'Jade Flower Sect' tomorrow morning." he said to Meng Yan then look at his son, "Son I know you two are very close friend but she has to leave tomorrow morning. You must understand that okay."

Meng Yan's face turn red and tears threatened to fall from the corner of her eyes but she hold it in. She look at Xing's face who have a surprise face, she thought that it was because he was shocked that she will leave tomorrow so she said while holding back her tears, "Little Xing it seems that my plan has failed, we didn't manage to ran far away from home. You must promise me that you will always think about me, in exchange when I return, I will take you to accompany me in many adventures. You mus..wuuu wuu wu" Without even finishing what she was saying, the tears she tried to hold back was release as she burst into crying and hug him. Snot and tears covered his head as he stood there like a frozen block of ice.

'Why is this happening to me? Why is my father also thought I will be lonely without her? Why does everyone always misunderstand me?' he could only complain to himself all of the unfairness he received. He even thought that this must be a retribution on what he do in his previous life.

In the next morning, Meng Yan leaves the mansion with her face full of tears and snot.
