56 Brother

I ran with all my might. When I arrived in the parking lot, I abruptly stopped in front of Mr. Shin who at the moment is looking at me with worry. "Young Miss, Are you alright? Is someone following you?" he asked this as he scanned the area for possible suspects.

After catching my breath I smiled at him and said to him "No, it's nothing. I just saw a ghost as I was walking earlier." Mr. Shin was dumbfounded with my explanation. He is doubtful and worried at the same time, I brightly smiled at him and said in a cheerful tone of voice "Don't worry, I used my ninja skill and left the ghost behind to eat my dust. He won't even know I've been there so no need to worry about him haunting us."

"A-" Mr. Shin started but I didn't let him finish his sentence. I cut him off and said to him "Let's go home. I'm drained today. I wanna eat and rest." I handed the plastic bag to him and finally entered the car. Mr. Shin came back to his senses when he heard the car door slammed shut. He hastily went inside the car and positioned himself in front of the steering wheel. He placed the plastic bag on the empty seat beside him and drove out of the school's premises.

The next morning Saturday

I woke up normally today. When I say normally, it means me waking up 2 hours before lunchtime without anyone disturbing my beauty sleep. With my hair entangled in its own creative way, I sluggishly crawled out of bed. I groggily walked towards the bathroom door, I was about to enter the bathroom when a faint knock sounded on my bedroom door. I detoured and walked towards the door. I unlocked the door and hoarsely said: "Come in!". I then turned to walk back to the bathroom but a fair handsome face suddenly appeared out of nowhere.

I blinked several times before my brain finally was able to register this very familiar face. I unconsciously jumped back in shock but I only collided with his body. He was standing slightly behind me while bending his upper body so that his head is facing me upside down. We fell on the carpeted floor, he was on the floor as I lay on top of him. My back is against his broad chest making me feel his heartbeat. I can smell the fragrance of his shower gel or is it his body spray? I don't know but all I know is that I need to quickly hide.

I hastily moved my body to stand up but long slender arms snaked around my small waist which acted as metal bars making me unable to move. I closed my eyes and cussed inside my head. Fardjie Bar!! I forgot!! He did tell me that he will come home today. Why is he this early anyway?! He is supposed to be a very busy person!

"Let go of me this instant." I said in a calm indifferent tone of voice.

"Won't do dear," he said in a mischievous tone of voice.

"Qian Tan!!" I said in a low growl making him chuckle in delight. Tsk... This guy really likes it when I get angry at him. He is really a sadist! How can he even torment his own sister like this?

"Hey, all the girls who see me wants to hug me like this but my own sister doesn't? Ugh...This fragile heart of mine is hurting." he said with an aggrieved tone of voice.

I rolled my eyes at the ceiling. How shameless. I really don't know why we are related at all. I can't see the similarities between us. (-.-)

"Brother dear I'm hungry. Please let go of me now." I said in a very pitiful tone of voice.

His grip on me loosened and I took this chance to elbow his stomach making him let go of me in pain. I then hastily got up and run towards the bathroom door. When I was already in the bathroom doorway, I turned around to look at the guy who is now curled into a ball clutching his stomach. I smirked at the sight of him. Yeah! One point for Elrae!

Qian moved his head to look at me. His lips curved into a faint smile. "You are still as vicious as ever dear."

"And you are still clingy big brother," I said this before slamming the door shut. I heard Qian's laughter as I locked the door. I took a deep breath before taking off my clothes and walking toward the shower.

If my brother is home then it is also possible for my parents to suddenly make a comeback today. Having a family full of eccentrics is really troublesome in so many different ways. It is a good thing that all of us have good looks to cover up our uniqueness. The saying 'Don't judge the book by its cover' perfectly fits my family.
