Prologue

Do you know how it feels when you are prohibited to explore the known? I am such an inquisitive person. I just can't stay read my research books and seeing other people's discoveries, when I can definitely discover mine and I know one day, I will have my findings on books too. But my nemesis won't allow me; I'm talking about my parents. They want the best for me but they don't just know me. Okay they do, but they don't understand my reasons. Wait… they do too. They know how much I love exploring but they don't want me getting arrested or even taken away by some C.I.A agent or something like that. Well I'm just 15 and honestly, anything can happen in this conventional world.

Most times, me and my group―my best friends―go out to explore at night and day. Most times, I'm caught by my parents especially my mum or snitched on by my annoying brothers; James and Milles. Apparently, I get grounded and I think my highest time being grounded is five months or six. But this time, I have it all planned out by me and my two besties. I forgot to say this; I'm pretty much of a talkative and I'm Annalise.

"Charlotte, I'm ready here, you?" I say to my walkie-talkie as I wear my back-pack and look out the window to see Charlotte.

"Yes, already. Delilah?" Charlotte says through the walkie-talkie. She gives a thumb up from her window and I nod (her house is next to mine).

"All ready, I'm at your door step Annalise," Delilah says through the walkie-talkie.

"It's Anna time!" I say to my walkie-talkie.

Delilah P.O.V:

I'm Delilah and I guess you identify with what we are doing presently. I'm Annalise's best friend well so as Charlotte. I am the youngest the BFF (Best Friend Forever) group and the most adorable 14 years old girl in this neighborhood. The door opens.

"Hey Delilah here are the controls," Dylan hills (Annalise's brother) says and gives them to me. Dylan Hills is a nine years old computer nerd with glasses. He isn't a snitch like his other two brothers James and Miles. He helps with some of our researches; he is a big brain. But he isn't only who I'm expecting to answer the door. The main person will be here in 5…4…3…2…1. Bingo!

"Dylan! What did I tell you about opening the door! Go out of there sweetie right now," Annalise mum says and jogs to the door with her towel round her neck.

"See ya around Delilah," Dylan smiles and leaves.

"Delilah, what brings you here?" Annalise's mum says cleaning her sweat from intense workout as usual. I see Annalise coming from the stairs tip toeing down, giving me a thumb up.

"Um… I was jogging and I thought maybe if you could join me," I clean my fake sweat and blink my eyes.

"Oh, good you know always ready at any time. But first I need to check on Annalise just in case this is an escape plan of yours," she says.

"Oh absolutely not… It is definitely not," I say.

"Whatever, I'll check now. Stay here I'll be back," she says and jogs upstairs.

"Charlotte, I have the controls. It's go time!" I tell charlotte through the walkie-talkie.

Charlotte P.O.V:

"Yes, I'm in Annalise's room… Anna, Delilah do you copy?" I say and enter Annalise's room through her window.

"I copy," they both chorus. I am Annalise bestie, and so as Delilah. I'm 16 and I am more of the action taker and the brave one in the BFF group. We are all in the same class; the 11th grade. I walk in Annalise bathroom quickly and put the recording there. I play it and it plays a recording of Annalise bathing. I put a new phone I got from Dylan which only receives calls. I leave the phone there and call the phone to test it, it works. One down, one to go. I hear Anna's mum jogging upstairs and I quickly put one more recording on her bed. That is for plan B. I jump out the window to a tree and I see Annalise's mum but she doesn't see me.

"Anna, Delilah, she is in the room. I repeat she is in the room," I say through the walkie-talkie. Anna's mum hears Anna bathing in the bathroom as planned.

"Anna, you're having a shower now? It is just 6:30 p.m.," Anna's mum asks and cleans her sweat.

"Anna call the phone number now, she asked surprised why you are having your bath now," I say through the walkie-talkie.

"Anna, are you there?" Anna's mum asks and steps close to the bathroom. Come on Anna…

"Mum yeah, I'm hot and I need this long shower, I umm… was studying and I can't take more of it," Anna says from the phone I put in the bathroom. Yes!

"Oh, I told you too much of reading causes that, anyways I'm off jogging with Delilah, she wants to become fit just like me," Anna's mum says with joy.

"Cool…" Anna says through the phone.

"Don't try to escape this room. Remember you're still grounded and you have 2 days to go." Anna's mum says and leaves the room.

"Operation Annalise escape is a go!" I say to the walkie-talkie.

"Yes!" Delilah and Anna say through the walkie-talkie as I get down from the tree I'm in.

"Charlotte I'm in the spot, I'm waiting for you and Delilah, please keep my mum busy," Anna says.

"Affirmative," We chorus. I run to my bike and wear my helmet. I ride for like 2 minutes to the spot were Anna is. I wave at her. I chain my bike to a tree and stride to her.

Annalise's P.O.V:

"You made it," I say.

"I always do," she says and brings out her walkie-talkie.

"Delilah, we are set, keep us in touch," she says to the walkie-talkie.

"Dylan please stay in touch," I say through my walkie-talkie.

"Sure sis," Dylan says through the walkie-talkie.

"Um… you guys better start the research now, your mum is coming out from your house to start jogging with me," Delilah says.

"Affirmative," I say and put my walkie-talkie in a net at the side of my back-pack.
