Princess Anna’s Discovery

In the Castle

Princess Anna sat on her purple velvety throne in her room staring at herself in the mirror ,she thought to herself , " Who is this woman staring back at her? She was supposed to be an adventurer , an eighteen year old woman wanting to become a vet ,helping animals in need." But instead she was a simple, boring, lazy princess that had servants spoon feeding her every need. Everytime Anna wanted to make her own bath , servants would run to her and say, " Oh Princess Anna let me prepare your bath for you, just sit down and relax." Anna didn't have a moment's rest to herself.

" Ouch!" Anna screamed while Mona, her nanny since she was a young child; was brushing her hair.Mona accidentally hurt Anna and hesitantly said, " Oh sorry my lady I didn't mean to.." Anna rudely interrupted her and took the comb from her, " Just give me the comb and get out." Mona did what she was asked.

Anna was upset with herself. She doesn't usually act like this but today was her eighteenth birthday and her father king James arranged a party with only a few gentlemen . He wanted her to choose an excellent suiter for herself; she could hear him right now saying, " When your mother was your age she was pregnant with you." But what her parents didn't understand was that times have changed and now a lady wants to be more than just a woman waiting for a man to marry her, she now has dreams of going to college and working.

A knock on the door interrupted her thoughts, she turned around and saw her mother queen Mary on the doorway,sobbing in tears, " Oh my you look so beautiful, I am sure you will find a suitable suitor tonight and that will be the beginning of your life." Anna replied, " You mean the end of my life, mother. Why do I have to get married now? Why can't I get married after I fulfill my dream of becoming a vet."

Mary yelled at her daughter, " That silly dream again, you know how many young ladies would kill to be in your shoes right now." Anna thought in her mind how I wish to be in their shoes. " Mother, I don't know any of these men that are coming here tonight and I don't care to know them." She argued . Mary said, " After you get married and get your own child you will understand better. Now that you are ready, let us go down. We can not let your suitors wait any longer; they have been dying to see you."

So Anna and her mother Mary headed to the ballroom to greet her guests. When Anna entered the room all eyes were on her ,everybody was admiring her long blue stunning dress.She strolled through the ballroom and went to sit on her throne, one by one each suitor approached her with a gift and she had to dance with each one of them as a gift of gratitude for coming. " This is going to be a long day. I would rather be anywhere but here." Anna thought to herself.

On the other side of town Sly was galloping on his horse. He couldn't wait until he reached the castle ,he heard that there were going to be a lot of people today so he could sneak in without anyone noticing him. Sly patted his horse on his neck, ' Today is the day my friend .We are going to be collecting good money. A party that involves rich people ,we have reached the jackpot.'

He strodded with his horse by his side next to the castle .He stopped a bit far from the castle so the no-one gets suspicious of him, he tied his horse's ropes tightly on a tree branch and slowly without making a sound he smoothly tiptoed to the castle. The front door was slightly opened so he peered and saw that the party was still going on . He thought to himself, " Good now is my chance to sneak into the house." He went around the back slowly and steadily.

In side the castle Anna got exhausted from dancing one person to the next, she must have danced around a zillion times already and hear the same conversation over and over again , " I am going take over my father's kingdom and become a king and I am going to get married and wife will bear for me many kids and we are going to live happily ever after." What a joke Anna thought it was like they were all one person.

Anna excused herself politely and went out towards the balcony to get some fresh air. " Finally I am alone at last ." She said she looked far and saw a small town, she remembered her mother once telling her the poor villagers lived over there and it was nothing like the life we have here in the castle. She said, " Oh what I would give to live over there far from her duties and her responsibilities as a princess."She closed her eyes and began daydreaming what it would be like living in the villages. Making your own food ,picking out your own dresses she opened her eyes and to her surprise she saw a young man on the other side of the wall climbing up the castle walls towards her mother's room. Curiosity got the best of her and she went quickly to her mother's chamber to find out what he was up to.

She sneakily opened her door to make sure there was no-one around and quietly tip-toed to the other side of the castle towards her mother's room. She had to be fast but not too fast so that no-one would suspect her. She was almost there until her father saw her and interrupted her, " Oh Anna I was looking for you . Why aren't you downstairs in the ballroom with your suitors ?" He asked. Anna had to lie, " I will be down in a minute father, I just had to borrow something from mother's room."

Her father seemed like he accepted her anwer and replied, " Oh dear don't be late, we don't want to keep our guests waiting." Anna nodded , " Okay father."She sped to her mother's room and went outside to the balcony, before she entered the balcony the young man jumped up the wall and into the balcony his back was facing Anna. Anna surprisingly said, "Excuse me." Anna smiled sneakily at the young man, " Who are you and what do you think you're doing?"

Sly looked up at her ,he couldn't believe his eyes in front of him was a lovely, young , woman with the fairest face. Her hair was smooth as silk,her long hair dragged down to her curved breasts. Anna angrily said, " Are you going to answer me or do I have to call the guards on you?"

Worried Sly looked around and saw that he was surrounded but leaves vines so he created a lie, "No don't do that my lady? I am the new gardener and I had to climb up this long wall to water the plants."

Anna laughed so hard, " Ha ,Ha Ha!" Sly then entered her room and shouted, " What is funny!" Anna smiled, " You are the worst liar ever , don't you need a hose to water the plants."

Sly felt embarrassed, " Ok I assume you can guess what I was doing here. I came to steal some expensive belongings . But now that you find me I think I better go and I will not take anything." He was about to leave, then Anna thought of something and interrupted him, " Wait a minute. What made you think that I wouldn't tell anyone?" Sly was confused, " But I didn't steal anything and I am leaving without wanting anything in return."

Then Sly walked slowly to the balcony ,Anna stopped him, she took out her bracelet and handed it to him, " Not so fast I can call for the guards and they will lock you up so fast we will not have time to run away." Slay shouted madly, " Why are you making this so difficult ?" She told him, " I can make a bargain with you. I will not call the guards if you take me with you."

Sly asked, " Why would you want to come with me?" Anna replied, " Don't ask too many questions. Do we have a deal or not?" Sly felt he was going to regret taking her but suddenly heard guards banging on Anna's shouting, " Princess Anna is everything ok?" Sly quickly told her, " Ok fine let's go." Anna could believe she was going to leave the castle at last ,so Sly and Anna went down from the balcony so fast before anyone could catch them.

Sly told her , " Quickly my horse is over there.What is your name? Mine is Sly." They reached his horse and Anna replied, " My name is Anna." So they rode off outside the castle not to be seen by anyone. Anna told herself this is the beginning of a big adventure.
