55 CH. 55: Nox in Action

The Loki and Freya Familias were going deeper into the dungeon. They've just reached the 40th floor, the seismic activities were getting stronger but even so, they still have not found any monster.

They have encountered some dungeon beasts but they were just hiding, intimidated, and maybe even traumatized by what they witnessed with the Nox Familia ; Carrera was literally destroying the floors one by one using nuclear power, the radiations inhibited the limited thinking and senses of the monsters.

Ais Wallenstain, a young beautiful woman with long golden-blonde hair, golden eyes, and a slender body. She's currently wearing a white and black battle cloth, black arm covers, and long blue boots. Her armor over this is consisted of a head guard, breastplate, arm guards, hip guards, and knee guards.

This teenage girl served as executive of the Loki Familia and one of the head operators for this rescuing operation. She looks around her and pierces hiding monsters. Once they make eye contact, the monsters hide or flee.

"What's up with them?" Ais asks, she really confused by the instinctive behavior of the monsters. "I-I don't know.... Neither do I know what— is happening to my stomach...." Loki mumbles while holding her aching stomach, the anxiety and fear started affecting her.

"I wonder why they're so scared!" Tiyone asks, "Maybe something happened here!' Tiyona replies.

As said before, nine total people were present here. Loki, Ais, Riveria, Tiyone, Tiyona, Finn and Bete. As for the other familia, Freya's here with Ottar. They were all wondering why the monsters acted so strangely, that IF they encounter any.

After a few minutes of welcoming through the orifices created by Akira, they reached the 59th floor. But due to the floor boss being taken out, the frostbite effects and freezing environment were much less potent, for Bete the werewolf his fur was keeping his warm, but the half naked Tiyone and Tiyona weren't the same.

"Is it a huge gamble to come to the 59th level at this moment. I suggest we go back" Riveria said.

Everyone was astonished by this level's aesthetic. Not only was it very different from the others, but it was one of the floors they'd only hear in legends and rumours.

"The seismic activities are coming from this level... But i can feel them still a bit further..." Ais remarks, "I say we go further, we don't risk anything as long as we have the device with us" Bete replies.

"But does a 'further' even exist? I always thought of the Glacier Territory as the last level..." Finn says.

Riveria the elf sighs, she wasn't going to risk their safety on fricking instincts, "Sigh... This is pointless, let's return and report this to the Guild—" But as Riveria stated her mind, the floor started shaking heavily and loud noises emitted throughout the level.

"It's coming from there!" Finn points at a blacked out portal standing in the end of the level. The entrance to level 60. "Let's go!!" Bete yells while running towards the portal.

"B-But if the 20th level is already a threat... Then what about the 60th ??" Riveria asks in concern. Loki pits her hand around Riveria's shoulders then juts laughs it off, "Haha, don't be like that Riveria-chan, it's gonna be fine! Trust a goddess!" She said. Riveria isn't so sure about their confidence and who they all relied on a fucking orb.

What if they die before even knowing what's going on? That's just how nuts level 60 is !

While everyone was sprinting towards the portal, they notice bones next to the exit. "Are those... Bones??" Tiyone asks in surprise.

"D-Don't tell me..." Tiyona mumbles. "Dragon bones!!" Finn shouts. "Did they really kill the floor boss?— A dragon??" Bete asks in confusion.

Ais is surely impressed, it could be seen on her expression and how she admired those huge legendary remnants. Nevertheless, she shrugs these thoughts away then they all rush through the portal, "Let's go." Ais simply says.

They enter the portal. The first things that strucks them is the breath-taking temperature that doesn't let them get any further into the floor, "HOLY SHIT IT'S SO HOT IN THIS HELL HOLE!!" Bete shouts.

They back from a portal a bit and just watch the events unfolding there, "Ar-Are those, the adventurers we're looking for??" Tiyona asks while looking at the people who were fighting a gigantic golden golem.

Even though the battlefield was far from them, the shockwaves and sounds were reaching them with full force. "Mammon..." Loki recognizes the boss.

"Do you know him?" Ais asked Loki. "One of the legendary devil generals that fell from Geia's teachings... Ever since, he's been hunting one the floor of the higher dungeon levels..." Loki says.

While everyone was fascinated by this information and intimated by the fight of the Nox Familia against Mammon, Freya was enjoying this scene and taking pleasure in watching it. Akira's full confidence and overwhelming power made him standout.

"Hahaha~" Freya laughed, "This is going to be very entertaining~" Freya says. "Yes, my goddess." Ottar speaks.

Mammon slammed his fists on the ground where Akira was standing on. The latter released his enormous crimson outerish wings that extended till the ceiling of the roof.

Akira stops his momentum mid air then freezes in his position. Mammon throws multiple golden fists at him, but none reach Akira because of his shield that repels Mammon's attack. He continues attacking Akira but in vain...

"What is the best way to completely destroy gold?" Akira asks, "Nuclear energy is the most efficient way, Akira." Testarossa replies.

Exactly. Akira lifts his hand then points it at the flooding melted gold. Puddles of gold rise to the sky then form a war hammer.

The golden war hammer shines in a thousand lights, it slowly floats towards Akira then stops right before his hand. Akira holds the grip in his hands then envelopes the edge of the war hammer with unstable nuclear energy, ready to burst at any moment, it emits a green sparkling aura that glowed with radioactivity.

Akira then lands on the ground. The senseless Mammon notices Akira's hostility, "GURAAAAAAH!!" The devil general roars in anger.

Mammon forms multiple golden meteorites and throws them to the surface. The group members dodge the meteors but still have a hard time against the impact which blew everything away.

Akira escaped these raging winds then continued sprinting. Mammon feels more danger coming towards him. He changed the shape of his hands into sharp golden blades that he slashes across the land.

His blade hands cut the level itself and destroy the walls of the dungeon floor. But with each hit, he'd only cross Akira's afterimages. He looks underneath him then sees the dragon meters away from reaching him.

Then, Akira jumps with his war hammer glowing unstably. He gets Mammon near enough before slamming the hammer on his golden torso. The impact triggers the chain reaction, and a small-scaled nuclear explosion obliterates the environment, as well as blowing everything on sight away.

The demons, Milim and Saeko were already in a secure limit but the winds of the explosion reached them, it was very hot.

The dark smoke clouds start dissipating. Akira was standing up against the destroyed remnants of Mammon that became golden dust. Even the war hammer Akira was using had suffered irreversible damage that made it unusable. He let go of it and it broke on the ground.

"Muaaahahaha! That was awesome my friend!" Milim shouts, she gives Akira a thumbs up from the distance. Ultima jumps on Akira then hugs him tightly with a blushing ecstatically joyful expression, "THAT WAS AAAWESOME AKIRA KYAA~!!" She yelled with happiness.

Akira hugs Ultima back then gives her heat pats. Testarossa holds Akira's cheeks then gives him a kiss on the lips, "Kiss~ This is payback for earlier dear~" She says.

"Don't you monopolize him like that Testarossa!" Ultima yells while gripping more into Akira. The two demons exchange death glares that create a suffocating pressure.

And while they were celebrating, Saeko notices some mysterious people from afar. She unsheathes her sword then takes a fighting position, "We have company." She says.

Everyone gets on position, their serious poses gave chills to these people. "Pl-Please don't attack! We're here in peace!" Finn shouts.

The girl walk towards the entrance of the portal. Meanwhile, Akira grabs the thousands of crystals that dropped from Mammon's dead body. The floor boss also, generously dropped a full set of reddish golden armor that the demon was wearing in his base form, as well as a sharp yellow sword.

"That's nice" Akira stocks everything in his imaginary space then joins them. It was a nice souvenir and proof of the battle.

Bete gets on guard when he sees the overwhelmingly powerful girls approaching them. They all take a step back when they feel the dangerous aura surrounding them.

But they were mostly surprised by Milim. That little girl in the 60th floor? "A loli in the dungeon?" Tiyone asks. Milim got annoyed by her remark, she was going to kill her but Akira stepped right in front.

"Don't be fooled by appearances, Milim has enough power to kill everyone on this planet" Akira says. He lands on the ground and then reveals his appearance.

"I am Nox. The host of the Nox Familia." Akira says.

Everyone's attention falls on Nox's seductively long wings. For a god, he looked more like a devil... Black horns were sticking out of his head, and a devil tail was swinging on his back.

Riveria in front of the group then takes a defensive pose, "Careful! He could be part of Evilus!!" She said. Akira's devilish features made him look like one of those evil gods known as Evilus.

"I am not an evil god, this is just one of my many forms... Let me take a more casual form..." Akira's wings go back inside his body, the horns and the tail disappear and Akira goes back to his normal self.

"There!" He says cheerfully. Now everyone could see Akira's mighty appearance, he gave off a more chill and warm aura in this form, the other was cold, bloodthirsty and very dangerous.

"So you're the god everyone's talking about" Bete says. Akira nods in affirmation, "I guess so, everyone's making a fuss over Ultima's ridiculously high level" They shift their gazes to Ultima who hides behind Akira, "I don't like people..." She says while picking a few glances at all the eyes spotted on her.

"This girl... Is the strongest...?" Finn let out subconsciously. Bete is irritated by Ultima who turned out to be a disappointement, "Cut the crap! A little breath like her can never be—" Ultima pointed her pointy index nail at his neck, it tickled the flesh of neck, a little drop of blood spilled.

Bete retaliated quickly and wiped the drop of blood from his neck, "YO WHAT'S YOUR PROBLEM??!" Bete asks furiously.

Ultima sticks out her tongue then does childish faces that irritate the werewolf. His anger fades instantly once he feel a little pain in the spot Ultima hit him, "I feel funny..." He says.

But we'll, that's how the Loki's and Freya's Familias scouting came to an end.
