48 Chapter 48 Entrapment

Since he was keeping Akainu busy, Squard wouldn't be tricked into stabbing Whitebeard.

Deep in combat Paul and Akainu continued their battle for a while longer until Akainu saw the situation that was happening. Slowly, with the pirates' strength, they began pushing the navy soldiers back. Akainu, " Dai Funka!"

Paul seeing the powerful magma punch, he had no choice but to block it and crossed his arms. 'boom' Paul was sent flying away. Dragging on the floor for tens of feet away, Paul quickly shook off the flame that on his arm. Paul looked back to where Akainu was and saw that Akainu had retreated backwards to the navy base.

Sengoku, "activate the plan.'

Kizaru: " Do it Sentomaru."

Sentomaru: " Got it, Uncle. Is it okay if we hit the navy ships?"

Kizaru: " Keep it to the minimum."

Sentomaru: " Got it. Do it Pacifista!"

Several Bartholomew Kuma look a likes appeared as they started destroying several pirate ships and a few navy ships that was located near Marineford port.

Whitebeard: " So those are the new weapons that the navy has created."

As the Pirates got closer and closer to Marineford, the navy slowly retreated.

Sengoku: " Now, activate the entrapments!!"

At Sengoku's orders, on the port of Marineford, large walls started to activate circle around the port where all the pirates were located at. It was all except one wall that Oars was found 'dead' on.

Sengoku: " Damn it, that Oars is blocking that one entrance. Quickly concentrate fire on the Pirates before they make it past."

On orders, the cannons on the wall started firing rapidly at the pirates that were trying to run in. " Ryusei Kazan" Suddenly, several large flaming fists started to fall down on them. As the large flaming fists continue to fly down, it crashed down and hit the ground.

Paul looked up at the sky and said, " Leave this to me."

Paul flew into the water and started to gather chakra into his hands. Swimming in the deep water, Paul started to gather as much water as he could. Putting hands up as if he is holding up the something extremely heavy, " Ha!!!" Paul exerted a lot of force and chakra and then an enormous amount of water surged upwards and rose above the surface. Paul controlled as he used more chakra and created a ceiling above everyone and managed to block the incoming flaming fists.

Pirate grunt: " Woah, such power. Is this even humanly possible?"

Sengoku: " That damn Paul. He's ruining all of our plans. How is he able to dive into the sea and not be affected?!"

Paul controlled as much as possible as he controlled the water from the sea as a supply so that the water wouldn't evaporate so quickly, however, this was also using up a lot of chakra.

As he was pushing upwards he screamed out, " Hurry! I can't hold this for long."

Whitebeard: " Gurararara! It's time!"

It was at this time that a ship emerged and broke through the water carrying several pirates along the way. At the same time, Oars who was thought to be dead also moved and slowly got up.

Oars: " Ace...kun. Ace-kun! I protect Ace-kun!"

Ace: " Oars... Oars!!!"

Whitebeard: " Stay right there Oars."

Oars looked back as he saw Whitebeard coming on the newly emerging pirate ship, he then grabbed the giant whale ship and brought it through the one entrance that has not been able to rise up and block them. As this served as a momentum, countless pirates who were not able to get on the ship flooded in to the base.

Paul finally let go of the water that was shielding everyone and breathed heavily and was trying to catch his breath.

Sera walked up to him and said, " Paul are you alright? I know that move should've used up a lot of that strange energy you showed me. "

Paul still breathing heavily, " I'm alright... go heal some of Oars' major wounds so that he can still fight."

Sera replied, " Alright." Then she flew off to Oars' location.

Sengoku: " Dammit, if it wasn't for Paul, we could've wiped out a good number of them. Try to block as many as you can from entering. We must not let them push us too far!!"

'fwooosshh' A water current came up from the water and crashed in front of the platform where the admirals had once again set foot on. When the water cleared, it was none other than Luffy holding a wooden platform.

Aokiji: " Ara ara. You finally made it. However, it's too early for you to take this stage."

Kizaru: " It scares me~! His youthfulness!"

Akainu: " You're standing tall, Dragon's son. If nothing else, I commend your tenacity."

Luffy didn't pay attention to the three as his only goal was the platform. " I'M GONNA GET ACE BACK!!!"

He then threw the log that he was holding. However, this proved to be useless as Aokiji simply froze the wooden log and bounced it right back. Luffy, " Gatling Stamp." His feet moved at a rapid speed and kicked the frozen log into pieces right back at the admirals, however it just went right through them. Luffy leaped onto the platform as he tried to jump past them and was almost to Ace when Kizaru blocked his path and kicked him away.

After Kizaru sent Luffy flying and crashing into a nerby building, Aokiji appeared before Luffy and stabbed him in his shoulders, Aokiji was then about to stab Luffy again.

Aokiji: " Although I owe your grandpa for helping in the past, this is war, so I will have to deal with you now.

However, just as he was about to stab Luffy again, Paul came flying in and broke the ice spear and sent Aokiji flying.

Paul looked up at the flying Marco, " Oi Marco, I'll keep Aokiji busy. Go and help the others."

Marco was a little speechless as Paul had already reached Luffy as if he knew this would happen and said, " Alright, got it thanks."

Luffy: " Thanks, you save me."

Paul: " Nice to meet you Luffy. My name is Paul, the Heavenly Dragon. I will handle Aokiji. Quickly go and save Ace."

Aokiji got up from the rubble and said, " Paul. To be honest I didn't expect you to appear on this battlefield. It looks like we can finally settle our match on Punk Hazard."

Paul smiled as he covered his body in fire, " Yeah, this time the both of us can go all out right."

Aokiji: " Oh Are you sure you are up for it? Can you fight me on your own without your crew's help?"

Paul chuckled as he replied, " hehe, my strength then and now is a lot different."

Aokiji: " We'll see about that."

The two started their rematch with an intense exchange of moves right away.

Sengoku: " Do it!"

The two executioners holding the execution blades finally moved as they brought it up and and began slashing towards Ace's neck. However, before the blade reached the back of his neck, sand came flying from under the platform and killed the two.

Sengoku: " What? Who is it?"

Everyone looked and saw Crocodile in the middle of the navy soldiers.

Sengoku: " I thought that you, Crocodile, would actually help us because of your hatred for Whitebeard!"

Crocodile: " I can kill that half dead old man anytime I want to. I just don't want to let you taste victory!"

Sengoku: " 'tch'"

Sera covered Oars' body in her holy light, " Oi big guy, are you alright? Don't move for a bit, let me heal you."

Oars: " You are the Heavenly Angel, Phim D. Sera, from the chaos pirates. Thank you. I can't thank you enough for your help. With this I might have a better chance of saving Ace."

Sera smiled brightly as she replied, " Don't mention it, we all have the same goal for now."

Just as she was still healing Oars, Kizaru leaped up into the air and appeared near Sera, " That ability... is quite a dangerous one~. We can't have you healing such a big guy and have him causing havoc here."

Just as he was about to attack Sera who was still healing Oars, Marco came flying and sent a powerful kick at Kizaru, sending him flying.

Marco: " Sorry, I was almost late. Thank you for healing Oars. I'll keep Aokiji busy."

Whitebeard leaped down from his boat and sent a strong blow with his devil fruit that sent several navy soldier flying. " Everyone, save ace and destroy the Navy!!!"

Pirates: " Yaaaaaaaa."

Sengoku saw that now every pirate has entered the entrance that Oars made, " Garp... I don't think we can make it through this unscathed!"

Garp: " Yeah."
