Chapter 55 Holy scripture

Masamune brought everyone to the cemetery. Everyone didn't understand why he had to bring them here. It was almost midnight. The atmosphere inside the cemetery was really scary and lonely.

Sona and Aika couldn't help but hug Tsubaki's arms tightly.

Tsubaki was an Onmyoji. She had superpower but it didn't mean that she didn't feel anything when it came to ghosts. She had never seen one before. And if she was to see one here. She didn't think that she could do much.

"Masamune, Why are you bringing us here?"

Masamune didn't talk much and brought something out. He then handed them to everyone.

"These are flawless holy water I bought from the church. It will be used for protection from being possessed by evil spirits or hollow spirits."

"S–Spirits? Are you really saying that they are real?"

Sona hugged Tsubaki's arm tighter. Masamune could only look at her. He felt a little bit annoyed. And his annoyance made Tsubaki felt good. She brought Sona to hug her tighter.

Masamune sighed and then he explained.

"Yup, they are all real. This could be considered a sigh where the world will end soon. I brought everyone here because you all will witness what it would be like if the world ended."

Masamune opened the cap of the flawless holy water then he poured it on his whole body.

"I suggested you all do the same If you all didn't want bad things to happen."

Everyone except for Tohru were reluctant a bit but ultimately they did the same as him.

Masamune brought out his gun from the storage. He checked the bullets. Now he only had twelve silver bullets left. And it won't be enough for him to buy the electric power after hunting the hollow spirits.

He needed ten more coins.

Masamune calculated. He might have to risk himself a little bit then.

Masamune had prepared everything and he looked at everyone.

"About 5 mins from now the ghost gate will be opened. No matter what happened. Do not stay away from me."

Sona and Aika became terrified. Aika who was silent this whole time couldn't help but speak up.

"And what would happen if we were to be possessed?"

Masamune thought about it a little bit before replying.

"You would be dead then."

Hearing that, Aika shouted.

Masamune laughed when he heard her.

Aika didn't want to stop but Tsubaki convinced her. She wanted to know if what he said was true or not.

And about Ghost Gate. She heard of it from her senior but they said if the Ghost Gate appeared. That meant something bad was going to happen in this world.

This was the reason why she didn't oppose him for now.

"Goshujin-sama, Do you need any help from Tohru?"

Tohru wanted to be of help to him but Masamune shook his head.

"Not right now. But I will have something that needs your help in the future."

Masamune knew that she really wanted to help him so he patted her head a little bit. She smiled brightly with her red eyes shining.

His compliment and his patting was a reward to a maid like her.

Masamune didn't notice that someone was looking at him from behind. Both Sona and Tsubaki looked at him with strange eyes.

Aika understood how Sona felt because she was his girlfriend, but Tsubaki? That wasn't the expression of someone who wanted to arrest a criminal.

'Don't tell me that Tsubaki actually has a crush on him!'

Masamune led everyone deep inside the cemetery. He looked at his watch and told everyone.

"The gate is about to open. If hollow spirits or evil spirits saw you. You all have to hold your breath so they would not notice you."

Masamune explained why holding breath could help them. Because breathing was the sign of a living being. If they held their breath. The spirits would not be able to find them in the living world.

Everyone nodded their heads. They felt the tension in the air. They didn't know if what he said would be true or not but it wouldn't hurt to be careful.

Tsubaki, who had super power, could feel something out of the ordinary. And she could see that the surrounding area had changed.

Masamune said.

"The gate has been opened. Everyone follows my lead."

Everyone followed him. Their expressions didn't look quite good. Especially Tsubaki.

She could smell dead energy everywhere. Moreover, in the night sky there was a very big red moon. It was as if she was in another world.

Masamune led everyone to a safe place. He poured flawless holy water in a circle.

The flawless holy water shone brightly and it purified everything.

Masamune chanted using the spell from the holy church. He erected a holy barrier that would protect everyone inside the circle. It took almost all of his mana.

Masamune coughed a little bit. He felt drained but used to it. This wasn't the first time he forced himself like this.

"Don't get out of the circle unless there are very strong hollow spirits that could withstand the holy magic. You all just have to hold your breath."

Masamune then went toward where he could feel the most dead energy. Today was a full moon night so the spirits were much stronger.

That meant he would get extra coins for today.

Masamune went into hunting mode. He would wait, rearing, hunting and then collecting.

With his experience he used all of his bullets to the highest degree.

He only had flawless holy water left.

"Alright, Now it's time for the most difficult task."

Masamune looked at the last hollow spirit. It was very strong and could give him enough coin to buy the electric power.

He held his breath and went into stealth mode. He approached it from behind.

When he reached a certain distance. He brought out the last flawless holy water. He then stopped holding his breath and he began to chant the holy scripture.

The flawless holy water shone brighter than ever.

The hollow spirit noticed the change in the air and it looked at Masamune in anger. However, it was already too late for him.
