2 chapter 2 (first man pov)

As we walked closer to the church. We began to see it's bright white color with stain glass windows. After staring at the building for a moment we walked in. Only to be greeted by a bunch of children in their caretaker.

"Good evening!" they all said in unison.

I was shocked because I hadn't expected a greeting. Nobody else knew where I was headed today besides the subordinate next to me. Luckily he answered their greeting without missing a beat.

"Hello." He said in a cheerful way that only I would recognize.

Once the greetings were over the caretaker took us into a small room off to the side.

"So why are you here?" the caretaker says harshly.

"To adopt a kid." I answered with the same tone as she did.

"Fine I'll go grab them." she answered with a shocked due to my tone of voice.

Once she brought the first group of kids in we started to question them. This went on for 3 hours.

"What ages is the last group?" I asked my subordinate in a tired voice.

"Ages 6-8" He answered also in a tired voice.

"Finally I can't wait." I say sarcastically.
