I should've read the report better." While questioning his intellect, he flew onto the top of a Greco-Roman building. On top of the domed roof sat a person staring at their phone.

He walked closer to them. His phone said this was the spot, but why was someone on top of the building? "Hey, what are you doing here, don't you know it's dangerous here?" The figure looked up at him with a blank stare. It was a woman. Dark hair flowed to her shoulders. She had crimson-red eyes, the eyes of a demon. An angel conversely had blonde hair and golden eyes. "Why are you here... wait are you playing Jumpy Bird right now?" She stood up and snickered, "Yeah, so what? Gotta kill the time before I kill that fucker." She pointed at an old fat man in a suit; he was walking into the building and was surrounded by guards.

"Could you maybe not? It would make my job so~ much easier." He half pleaded with the demon in front of him. Sighing she said, "Sorry, I can't. This a-hole is going to die. I'm Venera, it's polite to introduce yourself before a fight." Felix almost cried at that moment, "I'm Felix. Do we have to fight?" She nodded with a sadistic smile.

Venera proceeded to charge at Felix, who instead flew off the building. Venera continued and tackled him in mid-air. "What the fuck, let go. We're falling!" Venera had grabbed onto him in a way that made it so he couldn't balance himself.

While crashing into the side of the building, they knocked a statue off of its pedestal. The statue fell onto the target's head, knocking him out. The angel and demon fell beside the statue onto the ground. "Shit, he's not dead yet!" Venera scrambled to get up, but Felix pulled her back and pinned her down. Venera smirked, "Ooh, kinky, but now's not the time." The target was already being moved towards an ambulance.

"I. Win..." panting heavily the angel rolled off of her. "Really? Your target's out cold. We are both fucked. Who assigns a demon of LUST to kill someone?" Felix was surprised, "What, you too? This is above my grade as well. What are our bosses thinking?"

"Yeah, um, Felix. Speaking of the 'demon of lust' part I have a favor to ask of you." He looked at her with confusion. "When you were on top of me. I got a bit exited, could you maybe help me?" Felix pinched his nose, "Venera, I am an angel and you are a demon, and how did that excite you?"

Luckily they could not be seen by humans unless they wanted to be seen. Venera was getting more and more red by the minute. "I know, but I don't have enough time or energy to find someone else, please I'm begging you!" Tears were almost welling up in her eyes. "Fine! Need to find somewhere private though."

The building they were next to had an empty office according to his phone. Flying there Felix, carried Venera and opened the window. The room was empty except for a desk and chair. A low voice full of anger responded "Venera, why have you brought an angel back his home?"

She responded to her boss in a polite, yet scared voice, "Well, my mission was interrupted by him, and I ran out of energy and we..."

"You had sex. Of all the beings nearby, you chose an angel. You also failed a mission, but we'll discuss that later. The two of you will arrive at the place I tell you in a half hour.", her boss had told both of them to meet him in the angel realm.

After he woke up, she explained the situation. The building they met at was the building of the regional archangel. The archangel would handle assignments of high degree of their specified area. The area could even cover a small country. They were also in charge of judging serious crimes. Basically, don't piss them off.

The archangel was handsome and looked to be in his 20s. Beside him sat her boss, who spoke first. "Venera, as you know, having an intimate relationship between species is prohibited."

"I am the archangel of this designated area and this is the arch-demon of the region. We normally don't intervene in the other's subordinates, but this isn't the standard trial. Please recount your actions."

The judges both sighed and the arch-demon spoke, "The ones who assigned your assignments will be held accountable, but so will you. You both took the assignment. Luckily, we already spoke about how to handle the assignments."

The archangel stared at them, "I remember you saying about an agreement. Show us your eyes." They had their eyes peered into and the arch-demon said, "Did this seriously happen? You seem to have accidentally signed a contract." Some demons and angels will sign contracts with mortals in exchange for servitude or their soul.

"Although rare, an arch-demon and archangel will make a temporary contract with each other, usually to stop a war or something. Your contract can be seen placing your palms together and thought of.", the archangel explained.

They did as directed and saw the terms of their contract. The arch-demon handed them a paper. "Here write them out." After a minute it was finished,

'The two parties Vanera and Felix agree to follow the following terms:

1. The two must satisfy each other

2. Vanera must not have sex random people

3. The time limit is unspecified'

Did a demon and angel get married?! At least the terms aren't immediately problematic, but it says 'satisfy' and it doesn't specify having sex. 'Random people' could refer to only mortals or any sentient species. We can't even end a contract like this!" The arch-demon read the paper and explained the details.

Felix and Venera were scared of the contract and didn't know what to do. Felix spoke, "How are we supposed to fulfill the contract if we aren't even from the same realm? Do we have to live together or something?"

The archangel thought for a moment before suggesting "For now you can live at Felix's place. As Venera is a demon of lust, she can't do many difficult tasks anyway. Hmm, I just thought of something interesting." He started laughing before whispering to the arch-demon.

"Oh, I like that. Could be useful information and some missions may be easier if they work together. Okay, it's decided Venera will live with Felix and try to be a married couple. Venera will help Felix on his missions. The tasks will be a bit different though. Some tasks require two people, for example infiltrating a terrorist group. Yay, you get a promotion. You will both be given the rank of C, but you may take some lower ranked B level missions. We already filled out most of the required forms before you came here." The archangel handed them both an ID card.

"Your new credentials are listed on the IDs. Venera will be needing the card the most. The cards are linked in the system and will show the current situation. Venera if you get arrested in this realm, show them this card. Now, I think that covers almost anything. Please stop causing so much trouble for us. You can go now." He shooed them off. The arch-demon waved goodbye as the left. "You think they'll create a nephilim next?" He chuckled

The archangel placed his face into his palms and sighed, "I fucking hope not! The last one was annoying, an angelic mortal. 227 years old and he still acts like a teenager, do you realize he calls me uncle? At least he's laying low now." The arch-demon tried not to laugh, "Yeah right! You care for him. His parent's threw him away shortly after he was born and you took him in. You say you are trying to prevent an apocalypse, but you did raise him after all."

The archangel sighed, "Yeah, they were scared when they saw the power he could wield. I think their punishment was to never again leave another descendant. They new the risks, but they still took it. I would've thrown them into the darkest depths of hell. I hope these two don't end up making the same mistakes. Are you ready to send them on their first task?" The arch-demon nodded with a smirk on his face. "Yes, good timing for them. They have to kill a few terrorists. These humans keep developing more and more weapons." He shook his head.
