My breathing grew louder at each passing minute, my tongue becoming bloodier from my teeth biting it to keep from screaming.
"My love," her voice caressed my ear as she slides the knife over my abs again. I went deeper and deeper into that dark abyss in my mind where no pain could touch me. A slap stung my cheek as the evil angel started getting impatient, but I continued to look forward with my blank expression. Laughter filled my head, her hair whipping against her cheeks because she had the window rolled down, the excitement in her eyes, and her smile. My gods her smile was the most beautiful thing I ever saw. A high pierced scream echoed in the darkroom. Reluctantly, I peeled my eyes open and shut them again when a bright light flashed.
"I will kill you!" Scarlet screamed at my captor. Another bright light shot from her hands to meet the dark angel's shadows. Her laugh grated against my ears as I struggled against the table that she had me tied to. My cuts screamed at me to stop, but finally, I got loose. Running a few feet between me and the dark angel I tackled her to the ground. Brooke, a female whispered in my ear. It was her, the one that broke my heart so long ago. Go be happy, it came again. A sob tore at my throat as I snapped the angel's neck, watching her go limp in my arms.
"Brooke?" Scar whispered, gingerly touching my arm. I released the body, hugged Scarlet as close to me as I could, and smelled her hair. Her honey scented hair.
"Once upon a time this couple left a little boy on a random person's doorstep. The man took him in and raised him. Little did this couple know that they had left him on a killer's doorstep. This man had a daughter that was also being taught how to be an assassin and the little boy and girl became close, falling in love with each other deeper every day. Then on a mission, they got separated and when the guy saw his girl she was bleeding to death in someone else's arms. Someone that she had loved," I took a deep breath and waited for a few minutes before going on. "She broke my heart, died. I wanted out so bad, but you brought me back." I continued before Scar could say anything else. "And I am so glad that you did because I love you so much." A smile bloomed across her lips.
"I love you too," her lips were gentle on mine. Even the soreness of my body went away. Looking down I saw that my wounds were healed. "You're welcome," she whispered. Picking her up I carried her back to our mountain that I now call home.
