1 Ch.1 Unexpected

An incandescent white ball of light could be seen floating in the blackness of the void all alone and unmoving.

That was a soul of a young man named Micheal Thorpe, he was an orphan who had to work his ass off to make enough money to survive in society. He knew that being weak got you killed or maimed and only the strong survive.

Micheal had to do unsavory things in order to survive in the world and had hoped that those acts would never see the light of day ever, but his past caught up to him eventually.

When Micheal was walking to the convenience store three blocks from the apartment he was renting at the moment he noticed two men in leather jackets following him from a distance.

The only reason he could possibly think that might have to do with the men tailing him would have to be from his days as an gang enforcer the brute squad if you would.

As he was going over different plans in his head as to how to lose his tails and get back to his apartment and pack his bags in order to move somewhere else and hopefully not be found by his old employers again.

As he was deep in thought he noticed a little girl wondering into the street after a balloon had escaped her grasp and had wondered into oncoming traffic and was in front of a minibus that was not allowing down in the least.

Without a moment to think Micheal ran and leapt into the path of the oncoming minibus and pushed the little girl to the other side of the street and turned his head as the head lights from the minibus were the last thing Micheal saw before his body went flying and crashed into the pavement.

*Crack*

Most of the bones in his body were most likely broken and as a crowd started forming around him with some taking pictures and others calling 911 to try and help he only felt coldness spreading throughout his body before he finally lost consciousness.

As his mind kept replaying over and over his death as he floated in the eerie darkness of the void that surrounded him. The only thought on his mind was why? Why did he do such a stupid and reckless act get stuck in this insanity inducing place???
