6 Dungeon Arc#4: Prepare! Plan! Train!

The fireball was powerful enough to create a hole in the surface.

Ha! At least something good came out of those memories. Just as I was about rejoicing, my limbs felt numb, and my body slipped down.

[You ran out of mana]

Huh! Why do I always fall?

Moving my body was tough,

Will I not be capable of moving until my mana refills? Does mana get refilled automatically? if not, I messed up

Learning to use mana was one thing. Absorbing it was another. I did not see those individuals' full lifetime memories, just a minor part of it, that hardly lasted about a min per person. Most of them were just useless memories that would be of no value inside this dungeon. The one memory about controlling mana was the sole one that presented me with some idea about combat.

Maybe after I died and was resurrected, my mana would have recovered, but there was no way to kill myself. Moving my body was near impossible.

Absorbing, how complicated can it be?

If Mana was like air, won't absorbing it be like drawing a breath?

Using my entire body, I sensed it; it was like the air but denser, water yes, it was like being surrounded by less dense water, now it was time to absorb it, like taking a breath, I felt it, the phenomenon of mana flowing inside, it was warm.

New Skill: [Mana Absorption Level 1{Rate: 0.001/sec} {Active}] Learned

Yes! I did it! I am a prodigy!

The rate was indeed low, but it was better than nothing. My mana capacity was around 10. It should fill up in approximately 2-3 hours.

So, nothing to do until then...…..

Oh! I recall there was likewise a choice of class selection.

But… Those options were nowhere to be seen…

Hello there, a voice from the sky, Can I see those choices again...

No nothing, Just taking to air like a fool, nevermind

.

Profile!

After evolving into an Undead, I wanted to look at how it altered my stats.

Class Available: [Warrior] [Mage] [Assassin]

Huh! Those options so they were on my profile page.

Warrior, Mage, Assassin,

Warrior reminded me of the knight with sword and golden flames. Pretty strong that guy was.

Mage, Reminded me of the Necromancer, Also pretty strong.

Assassin, Like the ninjas?

All three of the options were pretty good, Warriors specialize in strength attacks and close-range battles, Mages specialize in ranged attacks and mid to long-range attacks, and Assassin specializes in stealth and sneak attacks specialize.

I killed foes with my hands before in close range, but when I used the fireball, it gave me a distinct sense of power, without having to get too close to my opponent, dominating the battlefield from afar, that was the battle I thrived for,

After just one fireball hits the enemies, the fire would spread, especially for the wolves. Since Fur covered them, they would fry nicely. I craved to see that; I yearned to see them burn; I wanted to burn them all!

I choose Mage.

Congratulations, you are a Mage!

[Class Mage is influencing your Profile]

[Stats Are Being Altered]

[Your MP has Increased]

[Additional Intelligence Point Gained]

[Skill Mana Absorption has Level Up]

It had such an effect, Wow.

HP and MP used to be similar in numbers, but now it seems MP just doubled.

A new Intimidation category seems to have been added, and it's high. I must look really scary to others.

My fingers twitched, my body could move again.

After standing up, the first thing I realized was

It's cold!

It's freezing cold!

My body was shivering because of the cold. Clothes! Top Priority!

I need something to cover me, but what could I find in a dungeon-like this?

Shivering, I roamed around, hoping to find something to cover myself.

That's!

There was a snakeskin lying around the massive body of the dead snake on the floor, along with its bones.

There were thin and easy to tear. I made multiple layers of skin cover my frame from my shoulders; it went down and wrapped my legs. The skin was black, and few violet stripes were present on it.

It was quite useful, even though it was thin. It prohibited the heat escape from inside,

Now it was time to train! And devise a plan against the Wolves!

My MP had recovered, and with the knowledge of how to use mana, it opened up alternative possibilities.

Taking on a pack all at once alone would be absurd. If only I had a way to hide and take them out one by one, hm. Would not the class assassin have been perfect for that?

….

I see, so I made another stupid decision.

But, the wolves don't always wander in packs. Many times they split around in a group of just 3 or 4. I should be able to take them after I train enough.

So now training it was,

Fireball is a useful spell, but I collapsed with just one use. Even though my mana pool now increased, I had to increase it if I wished to win further.

Fireball! Fireball! Fireball!

Then my body collapsed. Their uses were limited to 3 now,

but after collapsing, I waited for my body to recover, then repeated the process.

The greatest gift I possessed was endless time, endless time to prepare. After killing all the beings in this cave, there was no one to disturb me. The Dungeon clearing had no time limit. I was in no hurry to go outside. Frankly, staying here, inside this dungeon, was not bad at all. Continually learning, developing, hunting. Each passing day I felt more potent, and that felt good.

While using fireball, again and again, I thought of something. There was more I could do rather than just compress mana.

What if I discharged it in different shapes?

Gathering mana around my palm, I visualized not a ball but a…. chain, long chains that could bind my foe.

Bloop!

Five long ropes of fire formed around my hand

Skill Evolution: [Fireball ==> Fire Control]

Yes! It succeeded!

But unlike fireball, the fire ropes formed were long and were continually burning using mana, which consumed an abundance of mana, fireball could be produced and released at once, but I wanted chains to restrict foes. fire chains were not suitable for that, although any monster trapped between those flames would burn to death, which was also not bad

Which again made me think? Do I really need to change the nature of my mana?

When forming a fireball, mana is condensed in the palm. Even before it turned into fire, there was a powerful feel to it.

So what if I made chains using just condensed mana?

Stretching out my arm, I focused and visualized thin chains but too dense chains.

Soos!

It worked!
