Chapter 06: Hunting down a Bastard.

"Hmmm~ Mashiro does not feel like a liar. He is the first person that needs my help, I will help him." Inosuke said while puffing out steam from his helmet, he turned toward Zenitsu for his approval.

Zenitsu had already become his advisor and not knowing when, Inosuke had warmed up to him, seeing Zenitsu nodding with a smile, he knew that his decision was correct.

The three swordsmen looked at each other on brotherhood and the beautiful shounen manga scene was interrupted by Tanjiro's raven who started screaming, "KAAAAA~ good job Zenitsu, Tanjiro, Inosuke, head to the Wisteria mansion, head to the Wisteria Mansion, rest yourselves."

The crow flew towards Shin and hurled a warding charm. "KAAAA~ This is a demon warding charm, it will keep you safe, KAAAA~"

The raven flew off.

The three swordsmen escorted the children home to their worried parents. They thanked the three and offered them a meal before they start their journey again.

Zenitsu accepted on behalf of the three and sat for a meal with the family of five. Tanjiro was having a nostalgia seeing the family and caressed the box which held the sleeping Nezuko.

Tanjiro and Zenitsu taught manners to Inosuke, telling him that a lord must be cultured for his people to look up to him and respect him. The process was cumbersome but they did not give up, Inosuke was slowly getting better in both mannerisms and behaviour.

They reached the mansion surrounded by beautiful wisteria trees in full bloom, the sight could really make people stand and admire it before they left with a beautiful memory.

A little granny welcomed them in and showed them their room and left them robes to change into. Then she took our clothes to fix them and asked us to have a bath and wait for dinner to be served.

The dinner was delicious and she gave us futons to sleep in. Nezuko came out when the three of them were fooling around, she was still in her chibi-version and looked extremely cute. Zenitsu cupped her little face in both his hands and stared into her beautiful pink eyes.

"So cute~ Come on call me onii-chan~" Zenitsu said while playing with her.

Tanjiro just smiled and Inosuke nodded.

The next morning a doctor came to check up on them, Tanjiro and Inosuke were found to have fractures and some muscular ruptures.

Chuntaro returned and perched herself on Zenitsu's head and informed of his new mission and promotion to give him necessary rank to perform the next mission. He was directly promoted to a HINOE when the higher ups knew that he about his strength from Tanjiro's raven.

"Tanjiro, Inosuke, I have to leave for my next mission, take care of yourselves and let's meet again. Good bye~" Zenitsu bid farewell and dashed off using thunder breath.

He was asked to capture demons for the next term of Final Selections. He rushed back home to meet Jigoro, he knocked on the door to see it swing open and Jigoro sitting in a seiza position and a knife in his hands. He flashed in and snatched the knife out of Jigoro's hands.

"Tou-chan, what on earth are you trying to do?" Zenitsu growled.

Jigoro, who was shocked by Zenitsu's growth grimaced. He spoke of Kaigaku's betrayal and tears fell from his eyes, Zenitsu embraced him and growled, "I vow to hunt him till the ends of the earth, if the need be and I will chop his head off with my own two hands."

"I am already promoted to HINOE, tou-chan, you have me to be proud of, and for that bastard Kaigaku, he won't live to sully your name. Just promise me that you will never again try to do something like this. You are the only family I have, I can't lose you, promise me tou-chan." Zenitsu teared up at the end and the father and son sat in each other's embrace.

"HAHAHAHAHA, how could I think about giving up, I am Jigoro Kuwajima, I never give up. I am proud of you Zenitsu, already so strong, HAHAHAHAHA, I have to live and see how you become a Thunder Hashira and possibly end this plague." Jigoro had re-kindled his spirit.

Spending some father and son quality time, Zenitsu left on his hunt, he tracked the trail all the way to Sarataka Mountain. On his way, he captured a lot of demons and let the KAKUSHI take them back to the Fuji Kasane mountain.

On the mountain, Zenitsu found an old shrine and in there was Kaigaku, feasting on the remains of what looked like a girl no older than her teens. Feeling a presence, Kaigaku perked up and saw Zenitsu standing behind him, his handsome face illuminated by the moon had unmistakable rage while his eyes only held apathy.

"Seeing that you were my senior, I will offer you a chance to apologize for every wrong you have done before I take your head." Zenitsu spoke in a voice that sent shivers down Kaigaku's spine.

Kaigaku who had not seen Zenitsu for months was shocked to see him become so strong in a matter of months, his rage flickered, "I was supposed to be special, and yet, you insect dares to be better than me. I who was born superior, how dare you vermin stand above me. HAAAAAAA! I will rip you apart, limb from limb before I devour your flesh."

Kaigaku unsheathed his blade and charged, KAMINARI NO KOKYU~ SAN NO KATA- SHUBUN SEIRAI. <THUNDER BREATH~ THIRD FORM- THUNDER SWARM>

Kaigaku's body flashed around Zenitsu and sent slashes from all directions. Zenitsu flickered like a bolt of lightning, dodging all the attacks and appeared in front of Kaigaku and punched him straight in the face, with thunder coating his arm.

Kaigaku was blasted away, he broke through the wooden wall of the shrine and flew out. Zenitsu followed him and kicked him again to the ground making a crater because of the force he was hit with.

Kaigaku struck again with the fifth stance, NETSU KARAI. Kaigaku came dashing with a slash made of burning thunder. Zenitsu just stood there and exhaled, steam coming out of his mouth, KAMINARI NO KOKYU~ ICHI NO KATA, HEKI REKI ISSEN. <THUNDER BREATH~ FIRST FORM- THUNDERCLAP AND FLASH>

Zenitsu slashed though Kaigaku's blade and slashed him apart from his left armpit to his right shoulder. He slashed Kaigaku's left arm that made him look like a bust statue.

The screaming Kaigaku passed out, Zenitsu tied Kaigaku's neck in a noose and hung him from a branch, waiting for the Sun to rise.

The Sun's rays fell on Kaigaku's body that was slowly regenerating and burned him to a crisp as his ashes flew away in the wind.

Little Chuntaro flew to him and perched herself on Zenitsu's shoulder telling him to head towards Mt. Natagumo as fast as he could.

Zenitsu accepted the mission and wrote a letter for Jigoro and asked Chuntaro to deliver it to him. He started walking towards Mt. Natagumo which was a little more than twenty-four kilometres from Mt. Sarataka, he was standing on.
