ANGEL'S TEARS

The Esper rings quite powerful with this one. It has been 100 years since the War Of Faith broke out. Magis and Mages have been seperated into a few continents across the sacred land, a few rulers, some just cascaded and left empty to rot with own civilization.

The people back then used a magic or 'energy' in the form known as Esper, or Vorhes. Esper was the Magi art of using light as a way to conceal weapons into crystals or other physical energy forms. Vorhes was quite popular on the other hand, the art meant concealing weapons using physical objects such as dirt, twig, branches, leaves and such.

THE city lights strobe across the night sky, making it almost bright enough to see. I was walking on a pavement where puddles werw just staring back with a reflection of mine. It was a chilly night and I suppose it rained earlier. Times like these, Auras are more visible. Well.. Auras are manifestations of energy gathered up to form a physique or physical manifestation. These usually come from other Auras. This 'Thing' was supposed to be sealed ages ago, guess they didn't do a good job at it. Walking and turning at a corner where a local cafe stands tall, I walk across a beggar, with ragged clothes and a small bowl with change and a necklace.

The beggar shook his bowl, in an attempt to make me look at him I assumed. "Listen boy..im in a real tight situation here.." he uttered. I reached into my jacket hoping a small change was there to atleast show him some mercy, when suddenly he stood up furiously. I walked back slowly, as he started to groan and grunt for a bit and soon the signs of an Auros was present. (Auros; aura user/manifester).

I wanted to draw my Aestus blade, but this blind of the night, I was kinda beat. He started to draw a gun. It clicked, and it loaded a round. I drew my Aestus blade, a whopping 182 cm blade, 30 cm width, in a stance.

"Hmph, magis..disgusting." "You should be too about yourself, an aura user, what are you, some sort of peasant?". I guess that triggered him enough to fire a round. The Aestus blade produced a 'CLANG' sound so hard, the bullet cascaded off the blade. I dashed forward in an attempt to atleast scratch this guy.

The beggar jumped and stuck himself on a wall, turning his head at me. Keep in minde we're in a alleyway. I swayed my blade in an attempt to atleast shake him down. Suddenly, the gun floated and reloaded another round. This time it fired rapid shots. I dodged and rolled in an attempt to escape the moment. The beggar got on the rooftop. Of course as a Magi, I cant let this guy escape. I started running after him after using an old apartment ladder nearby. The old beggar stopped and look back. His look portrayed nothing but pure sadness and evil. The only way I would assume.

The beggar dashed towards me. I was new to this kind of situation, so I came running after him too. I swung my blade and he tried to block it bare handed. His hands were chopped off in the attempt and blood squirted everywhere. I placed the edge of my blade close to his neck and ended it. The remains of his body grained to dust as the gun melted. That was an auros indeed. Presumably, I don't do these kinds of battles but for now, It was clear, Auras are starting to get a balance on this holy universe.
