1 The Meddling Angel

"How could you do this to me?" she could barely whisper out the words as she stared at the couple sitting on the bed covering up their naked bodies using the comforter. It wasn't because it pained her to see her best friend and fiance on the bed but it was the anger that made her clench her fists tightly so as not to kill the cheating bastards.
"Xin Yue, this isn't what you think! It happened by mistake!" the man tried to get up from the bed but in haste his foot got tangled with the comforter and he fell down.
Xin Yue chuckled mirthlessly, "Mistake? What exactly happened by mistake? Did your pants fall off on its own and right now you were just practicing some dance moves on the bed right? Both of you are disgusting!"
Xin Yue removed the engagement ring from her finger and threw it away before walking out of the room. She was so angry that she didn't notice the woman standing on the left of the door, the one who had been standing there all this time and watching the drama unfold.
She had long hair that fell till her knees, black, shiny and silky. Her soft skin the color of peach and lips temptingly red. Her most beautiful feature would be her eyes; the color such a gorgeous mix of green, blue and grey. Dressed in a light orange colored dress she was looking extremely beautiful, angelic, someone whose beauty can't be described through words.
"Ha!" she sighed happily, "Step 1 of the plan - success! Now let's move onto the next step!" muttered the beautiful woman to herself as she rushed after Xin Yue who was stomping away in anger.
"Where is he? It's time, he should have arrived by now." she continued following Xin Yue but also kept an eye around looking for the man who will be helping her with the success of the second step of her plan.
As if on cue, from the opposite direction came the man whom she was waiting for - Qi Shan, heir to the Qi business empire and just the man who would be perfect for Xin Yue. She stopped walking and smiled mischievously. Just as Xin Yue and Qi Shan were about to cross each other, she moved her finger in the air in a circular motion and Xin Yue lost her footing.
Just like a drama scene, before Xin Yue could fall down she was saved by Qi Shan who held her safely in his arms and all they could do was just stare at each other. The woman then sent a flying kiss towards their direction and suddenly a soft breeze started blowing and time seemed to have slowed down for Qi Shan & Xin Yue. A snap of her fingers and both Qi Shan & Xin Yue could hear a soft music in the background.
"Hehehehehe!! This is the perfect romantic scene! Yo!" she chirped in utter happiness as she watched the couple from a distance. But her happiness soon turned into horror as she felt a harsh pull at her ear and heard a loud and booming voice calling out her name, "SHINE!"
The woman, Shine, exhaled deeply. She glanced at her newly matched couple for once before closing her eyes as she muttered a chant before snapping her fingers for once and vanished into thin air after all she's been summoned.

The Heavenly Abode
Surpassing all the imaginations of how beautiful heaven must be, the real beauty just couldn't be described in words. Surrounded by soft white clouds, the heaven is the home to angels, fairies, mystical flora and fauna, the twin sisters - fate and destiny, many other magical creatures, the purest souls waiting for rebirth and of-course the God. The affairs of heaven are handled in the same way as any company on earth. Divided into various departments and levels, the heaven is governed by the God almighty.
Among the various departments, there's this one department that deals with the love and marriage affairs of the humans - the department of love angels. These love angels are assigned to find a human his or her perfect match so as to fall in love, get married, have children and live a life together. Unlike the guardian angels who are assigned only one person at a time and they have to take care of their persons from the time before they are born and even after they die, love angels can handle affairs of multiple humans at a time.
Right now, in the court of God, a male love angel named Tarak was voicing his complaints regarding Shine's interference in Xin Yue's case which was originally assigned to him.
"Enough is enough! She's crossed the limit now. Just because you never punished her for her meddling before this is why she's grown so courageous that now she freely meddles into the affairs of our persons." complained Tarak.
"This isn't the first time she's done such a thing and I am sure that this won't be the last. You must take an action or else she will continue being a meddler and will spoil the whole system!" Tarak continued while the God just sighed heavily in response.
"Ah! So I guessed right, it indeed is you Tarak!" smiled Shine as she appeared in the court. She came to stand beside Tarak and in front of the God. "Hi!" she grinned and waved her hand in greeting.
"Tarak you can leave now. I need to talk to Shine alone." commanded the God. Tarak bowed his head down once before leaving.
"You are happy and proud of what you have done, eh aren't you?" asked the God.
Swaying lightly on her feet she said, "Well, I did something good so of-course I am happy and proud of it. It always feels good to help someone." Shine placed a hand on her chest, closed her eyes and gave a serene smile.
"Even when that person is undeserving of the help? Did you check Xin Yue's life chart before doing what you did?" questioned God.
Shine looked everywhere except towards the God as she replied, "I just know that she lost her mother when she was 5, her father didn't care about her and just cared about his other family. Xin Yue was mistreated and insulted since birth and now the man she loved and was about to get married to was actually cheating on her and that too with her supposed best friend. Was it wrong of me to expose her cheating fiance and deceiving best friend in friend in front of her and then help her meet her fated one?" she muttered.
The God slammed his hand angrily on the armrest of his throne, "She deserved that kind of bad fate! Had you checked her life chart you would have known about the ill deeds that she committed in her past life! Whatever happened to her in this life and whatever was meant to happen to her is the punishment for her deeds. Did you know that in her previous life she left her husband and child for another man just for money? Xin Yue was meant to experience the deceit of her husband and the loss of her child before she could be with Qi Shan."
Shine looked down at her feet as she said, "If not Xin Yue then what about Qi Shan? He was a soldier in his previous life and saved the country from foreign invasions."
The God chuckled mirthlessly, "Indeed he served his country but he also killed many innocent humans. In this life he was meant to experience the pain of loosing a family before he could start a new one with Xin Yue."
Shine clapped her hands and smiled coyly, "Well they were meant to be together in this lifetime after-all so what is the harm if I got them together just a few years early. Plus don't you always say that forgiveness is a great virtue?! So I was just following your teachings that Xin Yue and Qi Shan should be forgiven of what they did in their past lives as Xin Yue had already suffered a lot and Qi Shan already did a lot of merit in his current life. Those pitiful humans deserve to be given this chance to live a happy life."
"You!" even the God was left speechless against Shine's argument, "Ha! Okay, I can let go off this case but what about the others? 1,512 - that's the number of cases you have meddled in apart from your own. Do you think that your reasoning is above my rules?"
Shine knew from the tone of his voice that this was not the time to argue so she stayed quiet and bowed her head down. "I didn't say anything before but it's time that you shall be punished."
"But I.."
"Not another word." God raised his hand as a gesture for her to stop speaking, "You need to understand that not everything can be forgiven and some rules are not meant to be broken. Think of this punishment as your mission to prove that your reasoning is actually worthy."
"What is it?" asked Shine. The God smiled and Shine knew that things were about to get really scary.
