"Natasha" I heard my mum yelling from downstairs. Not again,they all want me to get married to their bestfriends son Nick and today they would be visiting us. I don't hate Nick but I can't get married to him we have grown up together he knows everything about me and so do I. Growing up I did everything my parents wanted me to including my career I wanted to be a doctor but my parents would not here none of it I had no choice but to be a teacher. My mum(Anaya) is an English professor and my dad(Mark) is a CEO in our company the number two successful company in the country and I am also an architectural professor as they wanted I have done everything to make them happy but getting married to Nick I just can't. I was thinking about childhood when I heard my mum yelling at me again I hate waking up early on weekends it's not even eight . Coming mum I shouted as I got out of bed did my mourning routine and got downstairs to have my breakfast and help my mum to prepare lunch before Nick and his parents arrived. At around ten o'clock Nick and his parents arrived after the formalities they discussed about the engagement and the cooperation of the two companies,ooh right Nick family owns a company where Nick took over his dad as the CEO.Our parents talked as me and Nick were busy playing with our phones later in the evening they left for their home and I knew now I had to convince my parents to cancel the engagement but that would be a hell of a job. I was in my room watching my favourite series Elite when the maid informed me dinner was ready well this the time to bring up my engagement topic. "Tash what do you think AB it your engagement with Nick" mum asked " am now t ready yet to get married" I told her,there was silent on the table and my dad and mum stared at each other." What l" I asked them "Tash you are turning twenty four next year on July we planned to hold your engagement on your birthday" mum said "yes princesses that would be perfect" I can't believe they are going to get me married to Nick my bestfriend. "well I need to think about this in one month we will be closing schools for vacation I will be moving to our cabin for the vacation" " it's okay princesses and it's a good environment with no noise you can stay there and think about your engagement we want the best for you,you are the only child we have" dad said to me" I know dad I love you guys,goodnight mum, goodnight dad" .Back to my room I dropped on my bed I received a call from Nick telling me he can't wait to get married to me and my doubts were confirmed Nick had feelings for me but he tried to hide them from me well this is not going to be easy as I thought.its been a month and tommorow we will be closing the college this week have been a hell one with students having their exams and filling out ends of term forms and Nick trying to take me out for dates each an everytime he gets an opportunity. Am deep in thought thinking of how to get rid of Nick today coz I can't take any of his nugging when my phone vibrates and bring me back to reality it's Kira my friend she has been staying in our cabin and she was moving out since she has to go back to Ireland to see her parents . Kira has been my friend since highschool they own the number one company in our country her brother is the CEO though I have never seen him but people say he is arrogant and a cold CEO who is always working from home and rarely goes to the company unless he wants s needed."hey Kira, oooh you can leave the keys on the flower near the door I will be moving in next week, okey have a nice journey,I like be you too Kira" after talking to kira I pack my things and get ready to leave the school and get ready for my vacation. Tommorow is on weekend where I get to spend it with my mum and Nick mum(Keisha) and my dad,Nick and Aron( Nick's dad) get to spend time playing golf. Goodmorning mum and dad I greet them as I make my way to the kitchen to make my breakfast,I love cooking for myself during the weekend but my parents will never allow it, I sit opposite mum as she reminds me that we will be going for shopping with Nicks mum." i can't wait mum as I have to shop for my vacation" I tell her as I giggle.i run back to my room when I heard Nick's mum at the door well today I had fun with the two ladies while shopping and am so damn tired I take my shower an lie down on bed tommorow is on Sunday I will be meeting Nick for dinner and after that I have to do my packing and get ready to hit the road to my cabin yeah it's mine,it was a gift from my mum when i graduated.its now two in the afternoon Nick is helping me to pack my things in my car he don't want me to leave for I will be staying alone and the cabin is near the woods and the nearest neighborhood is about a mile from my cabin but I don't care what is the worst that can happen have been there with Kira and nothing ever happened during our two months stay there. It will take me three hours to get there i will call you as soon as I arrive I tell Nick as I get in the driver's seat and put on my seat belt he kisses me on my forehead and he tell me to be careful as I drive.Half way to my cabin my car broke down and there is no one around and on both sides of the road is woods of all the places my car decides to breakdown here I sigh as I got down from the car to check what happened 'it looks like am not getting from here anytime soon' I tell my self it's been thirty minutes since I got here but no help I called a mechanic from the nearby town but he is not here yet as I wait I see a white eagle with blue eyes staring at me it's Soo big can't take my eyes off it's blue eyes am startled by the mechanic when he arrives I tell him about my car breaking down as he fixes it I take my eyes back to the eagle but it's gone before the mechanic can even finish it starts raining 'great this day can't get any better' I whisper to my self. I pay the mechanic and start my car I have around one and a half hour before reaching my cabin but the rain gets even heavy making it hard for me finally am here I heave as I see my cabin from far I love this place as it's quite and have flesh air.i park my car near the door and move towards the door I pick the keys where Kira left them I open the door and move in I switch on the lights well Kira had the chairs and everything covered with white sheets to avoid dust I have alot of work to do.i walk back to my car drenching myself in the rain I look around ' is that a wolf in the woods no I must be dreaming wolves don't exist in this part of the country and are really rare in our country' I shake my head grab my things from the car I leave the door open as I have to get my snacks at dropping this in the house I come back to the car " Ooh my God you scared the hell out of me " I shout at the guy who is standing next to my car " Hi am Andrew I live five hundred meters from here " he tells me as he ignores my shout " Am looking for Kira " she moved out last week " when is she coming back" he ask me again well am not sure but she left for her country" thanks mmmh can we be friends " sure bythe way am Tanasha "nice to meet you Tash" why don't you come in and wait for the rain to stop.He smiles as he follows.we get in the house and as I lock the door he turns around and I have to admit he is handsome he has blue eyes and his hair oh my God I stare at him I can't take my eyes off him my mind is screaming at me to take my eyes off him but my body is not cooperating with my mind he clears his throat my cheeks are so red from embarrassment "do you want a cup of coffee" I ask as I make my way to the kitchen "yeah"okey sit down and wait for me.i come back and find him making ng fire on the fire place I give him his cup and thank him for helping make the fire it's Soo cold. we take our coffee in silence and when he is done he thanks me and says goodbye and leaves.
