Rick was more of an introvert he already planned a life together with avi and loved her a lot but didn't really know how to show it .

whereas avi was a selective person , she would be comfortable only around her favourite people and knew how to show her love for Rick .

The broken bridge Became their go to spot , they would meet up there spend time laughing and staring at the pond . soon the exams pressure kicked in , avi couldn't handle pressure she would be really stressed about exams and marks , where as Rick was more practical . she would study all day , get good marks and still be worried unlike Rick who studied one day before the exams and scored average marks . There meeting became alternative days , then once in a week as it was December . but they would be in touch atleast once a day on mobile . avi invited Rick for a small party that her father , Kavya and herself have during the new year . . Time flew quickly , it was already December and in a few days it would be a new year .

31 evening , 2015 was about to end . Rick got ready for party , he wore a simple shirt and pant , got some flowers , chocolates and a small little gift for her , little infinity pendant . avi got all prettied up too , her highlights looked extra cute and went well with the dress she wore . she too had a little gift for Rick . Rick came in by 8 at night. , Kavya and uncle were cooking delicious food and Rick , avi decorated the table with flowers , ballons and fairy lights . They also had set up a flying lamp to be lit at 12 exactly . Rick and avi's dad had a quick friendship , they shared same habits and character traits . avi saw it good for the future as well . they laughed and talked a lot over the night , danced to a songs and had a lot of fun . As uncle poured himself a drink and Kavya was setting up the lamp to be lit , it was about to be midnight . avi and Rick sneaked off to the terece of her house . Rick pulled her for a hug , made her turned around and slid the pendent in to her neck . she didn't notice but then was damn happy to see it . she smiled widely at Rick and held his hands . for the first time they kissed , which was disturbed by Kavya shouting for everyone to come to lit the flying lamp .

before going downstairs avi slid a ring into ricks hand , he took one glance at it and nearly passed out .

it was his favourite anime character ring and moreover it was damn hard to find . Rick hugged Avi tightly and both of them went down to light the lamp . all of the lit the lamp and it floated in the sky with many others .
