12 11. Tears rain down.

NARRATOR

He had a gut that avi was gonna come over he opened the door happily but it was not avi , it was 5 of his College friends . they got Rick a cake and a big bottle of vodka . Rick had to call for food . They made him cut the cake , wasted it applying on eachother. Then they made shots , Rick had not been drinking and vodka was too much for him . he drank one and had stopped but they made fun of him so out of peer pressure he drank a few more . bell rang again , the food was here . Rick and Mary took it to the kitchen to open it . they were so drunk they didn't even shut the door .As they kept the food to the kitchen , Mary hugged Rick . avi came out side Rick's house with the best gift in the world but was shocked to see so many pair of shoes . she walked inside the open door , everyone was drinking in the hall , they saw avi and said hi . avi introduced herself as Rick's girlfriend and they told her he was getting food . avi went into the kitchen , there what she broke her . she just kept the cage with a golden retriever puppy in it and stuck a note . " happiest birthday my happiness " avi left the place . every body saw her leave sadly but continued to drink and listen to music .

next morning Rick woke up , his house was messed up . he was naked and was lying on the floor , there was a cage with a note on it and a little retriever biting the left overs . he picked up the puppy checked his messages it said " open the door am here "

he replied , msg didn't reach . he noticed the profile picture was not their too. he got worried he didn't remember anything about yesterday . he called up avi it was connecting . he called up his friends who were hungover , they said a girl left the dog for him . he panicked and asked each one what happened yesterday and every one replied normally except Mary .

she panicked ," you don't remember what happened?"

Rick " ofc not that's y am asking "

Mary " are you kidding me ?"

Rick " do I sound like that ?"

Mary " then what did you kiss me yesterday and all that shit , you cheater "

Rick " see if this is a joke please stop , I don't drink , I don't remember what happened "

Mary hung up .

he now figured out what had happened yesterday . he licked up the dog it had a little name on his belt . it read " sea " . Rick took a deep breath... sat on his bean bag tried to call avi , " not connected , not connected, not connected , "

years later Rick's eyes cried .

avi reached back with the next flight , opened her house door . avi's dad was right in front she just broke down . her father collected him and asked her about what had happened . she wept and told how Rick was kissing another girl and had no sense . Rick tried to contact avi's dad too but nobody picked up . 6 days later , avi's bell rang it was a guy with dark circles , dusted face , undone beard and a dog . avi opened the door and didn't recognise at first but , then understood it was Rick he snapped th door shut . Rick banged slowly saying sorry and wept at her door . avi cried on the other side.. but didn't open the door . Rick waited till evening . she didn't open up . he stood up walked away . avi saw him move away from his building . she called Rick , Rick picked up and looked up quickly " you were my only happiness and now only a reason to be successful , I cried enough for you I don't and I won't . "

Rick heard everything and said " I am sorry I have no explanations to give . what I did was wrong..."

avi hung up sat down , cried . her last drop of tear fell on her lap and Rick wiped his face and walked .
