Avi starts telling Rick about her life events which had really hurt her to core .

avi- "Rick , few years back we used to live in a different city . I was 11 when I joined a new tution . It was a big deal I didn't know how to cope up with such a sudden change . it was really hard for me to fit in . one day , my mom dropped me there and left , I was late , I was little worried and nervous . But nothing had gone wrong except the initial awkwardness . I walked silently and tried to look for the bench I usually sit , but it was taken . I sat on the one close to the watchman's cabin . it was a small room with a table , a door and a telephone for parents who called .

I hardly noticed anything till it was time to leave . I got my book checked at the last and my dad was running super late .

I felt a hand on my shoulder , it was the sweet old security uncle . he smiled at me , offered me a chocolate and gave me a seat to wait for . As I sat down he slowly leaned the door about to be closed , I looked at him , his simple innocent smile was replaced by a rather devilish look . he moved his hands over my shoulder , I was frightened , I started to sweat I couldn't speak , I was losing breath . I didn't know my heartbeat was so fast I thought I was gonna die and then ..... I hear , my dad's horn and from somewhere I get some power to push him a little get out of there as quick as I could.... I was numb as I sat in the car . I looked at dad , his face was cold as ice . he too had something to tell me but I didn't realise what . As I got home , mom hugged me , it was unusual . dad took me inside , made me sit on my bed and told me " hey , little girl mom is sick "

I could see his voice collapse his eyes watering . I saw this for the first time.... we had to move out for few months for her treatment . I didn't realise cancer was such a big deal , untill I and dad were left alone . we didn't wanted to go back to our old house so we moved here.."

that's what avi said , ricks face was pale . it was too much to take in at once .... but he kept quiet .
