1 Yasuo

(A/N: Rewritten)

Staring blankly at the morning moon, was our brilliant main character, Yasuo no-last-name. Why was it morning and why was there a moon up instead of a sun? Well, there's a simple answer to that: Yasuo frankly had no clue!

Deciding to ignore the incredible impossibility, Yasuo began to start his divine way of obtaining immortality. A daily routine of continuously swinging his unbreakable and blunt wooden sword while drinking a healthy amount of water!

But unfortunately, his 'friends' had visited him soon after, forcing him to stop. They had visited him for the reason of 'needing' him. And Yasuo couldn't help but notice that they had completely ignored the day-moon.

Was he merely hallucinating then?

"Yasuo, my friend! Help me with some of your wine!" A guest-friend had practically demanded. However, Yasuo simply nodded. "Of course, no problem," the swordsman replied, deciding to ignore the abnormality in the sky. Once taking the wine, the visitant had left straight away—it was like he was never there in the first place.

"Hey, Yasuo! I need some cash!" Another demanded, and once again, Yasuo solely nodded. "Sure, sure." He responded, taking out a wad of bills and handing it over. Just like the last 'friend,' he too had left right after. If Yasuo remembered correctly, the one who had wanted the money was an avid gambler. There was also a rumor that he had divorced because of this addiction to gambling.

"Yo, Yasuo! Let's spar again!" Ah, there was a friendly face. Yasuo was quite fond of this individual whose name is Hugen. He was his best friend, after all.

They had traveled together for many years in the past, and through that, both of them had developed a deep friendship for one another.

"Sure!" Yasuo replied enthusiastically with a genuine smile adorning his face. Hugen would always want to spar with him through swords. Though they fought without any real power, Yasuo would regularly win because of his superior blocking and overall better skills.

As the two went to the yard of Yasuo's mansion, they readied themselves. Yasuo took a more 'casual' and defensive stance.

He had exceptional eyesight and reaction time, able to detect and block his opponent's attacks with precision, and likely a counter as well.

Looking at Hugen's eyes to predict which direction he would go, Yasuo had noticed a strange figure in its reflection. Instead of himself, it was a face that donned an odd white mask. The mask itself covered the entirety of the face except for the right eye, spiraling towards it.

As for the eye, it too was strange. It was colored a frightening crimson, but Yasuo chose to ignore it as he dashed towards Hugen.

While standing there in a trance-like stance, Hugen had suddenly released his world-shattering aura, abruptly slashing a fatal sword beam towards Yasuo. Our unsuspecting main character, in turn, was blasted towards his mansion, destroying everything in contact.

"WHAT THE HELL, HUGEN?!" Yasuo screamed while in great pain as his bleeding body rested on the shattered piles of brick. He had no excepted his best friend to bring out his full power so suddenly in the slightest.

However, Hugen simply ignored Yasuo, bolting towards him and preparing yet another fearsome slash downwards towards Yasuo's heart.

Knowing full-well that Hugen would not listen, Yasuo forced his body to move to the right with great willpower.

Fortunately or not, he had managed to dodge, but only to be faced with Hugen's figure and another slice. This time, it was ultimately going to hit, succeedingly in just almost killing Yasuo.

"W...hy?" Yasuo managed to croak out, feeling his consciousness leaving him.

"...Friend, I have seen your destiny." Hugen solemnly answered as Yasuo's vision began to blur increasingly. "You will kill, and you will suffer. I am merely beginning it for you."

Yasuo laughed one last time, though it sounded more like choking than laughing. 'Ah, beginning it, is he?' Yasuo thought as he heard Hugen's voice ring in the back of his head, " Goodbye, my friend... I'll see you later."

Unfortunately, Yasuo heard not the end of the sentence, before his vision finally faded. Thankfully though, his consciousness had yet to leave him, deciding to review the memories of his now-past and ending life.

He was orphaned and brought to the Army when young. He never knew his parents, and never particularly cared about finding out. He was solely attentive to survive just another day. He had eventually become what people called a 'mindless killing machine,' and he thought it fit.

When he first killed though, it was considerably different. He had cried to what seemed to be to no end, and only after thorough punishment, had he stopped. Then he became cold, remarked as a genius of the sword and being named the 'Demon of the Battlefield' for his accomplishments.

Fame and fortune, he was given, but it ultimately did not last for long. In only a year, for killing multiple corrupt officials, he was exiled and left with naught but his bloodied sword. He had eventually met Hugen due to a shared 'acquaintance,' lifting his aloof persona.

He had vowed to nevermore slaughter and from there, lived a relatively peaceful life. However, all good things come to an eventual end. During one moderately quiet day, he had become crippled by an assassin. Doctors had said he would never be able to use his limbs ever again.

However, defying expectations and making the impossible possible, he was once again capable of using his arms and legs. He once again sought to master the sword, but now for different reasons, and immorality as well for the same purpose.

But, his life had ultimately come to an end by his best friend.

___

Hmm, wasn't this inner monologue going for too long? Shouldn't he have gone to the void yet? And why were tears going down his face? Was he crying? No, this couldn't be, he should be dead. Why, no, how was he crying?

"It seems that you've awakened... even if only slightly." A voice chimed directly in his mind. It sounded feminine and was very soothing. Wait, a sound...? Now, Yasuo tried to speak, but his attempts were to no avail. "Please calm down," and Yasuo did just that.

Taking this time to adapt, he looked around. But, was only met with none more than void and darkness. He tried moving his body, but only to realize he had no form; he had no skeleton, no heart, no skin.

But then how was he crying?

"You weren't." The voice spoke, reading his brainless thought, literally. "You were sheading parts of your soul. It seems that you perceive it as crying. It's different for everyone. Thankfully for you though, you are an eternal soul. You are someone, or rather, something that cannot break." It explained.

Yasuo was about to ask for it to elaborate but was interrupted. "Anyways," it began with a tired sigh, before putting on a haughty voice: "You have been chosen to reincarnation by a stroke of luck. You are also allowed any wish you desire to accompany thyself."

'Well, do I get to choose where I reincarnate?' Yasuo mentally asked. He had figured he could question in his mind, 'seeing' how the voice was practically reading it.

"Hmm... you're surprisingly calm about this. Though not the first." The voice muttered, before replying, "No, unfortunat- What...? Cough! Yes, and you will have the privilege of reincarnating through the highest class..."

The voice awkwardly paused before explaining, "With the highest class, you will have three wishes, the system 'Ancient Manipulator,' and a choice of destination."

'Oh! Does that mean I can reincarnate in a cultivation world?' Yasuo enthusiastically asked. He was in love with anything 'cultivation,' one could obtain immortality with it after all. There was also the fact that he loved cultivation novels—he practically got high on them.

"Yes," it replied, before muttering low enough for Yasuo not to hear: "...Hopefully."

Then it lightly coughed before continuing its explanation, "The Ancient Manipulator will adjust to the universe, allowing you to get maximum advantage. Now, please choose your three wishes."

'Complete immortality!' Yasuo immediately thought.

There was almost no thought put into it. Or rather, he had already set his mind to it. He needed immortality for his goal, and it was this was a perfect—and virtually free—chance to obtain it.

However, its reply took his hopes away. "That is unfortunately not possible." It stated, but what it had said next boosted his optimism once again, "However, to compensate, your wish will grant you partial-immortality."

Yasuo mentally smiled happily. 'That's completely fine!' True or incomplete, so long it was not from natural causes, it was fine. The only reason why he wanted immorality was that he didn't know how long it was going to be until he achieved his goal, if ever.

'For my next wish, I want a mask with as many perks as possible!' Yasuo beamed, this was perhaps the best day of his dead life.

The mask would contribute to his goal as well, allowing him to hide from enemies and the like as he sought to complete his desire.

___

"That is the entirety of the blessings that can be received." The voice explained as Yasuo was reviewing his brand-new mask's [Effects]. He couldn't help but think that it was powerful, even at its sealed state. Five times less effort to master [Skills] was insane!

"Please choose your last wish before I send you to another world." The voice spoke up, disrupting Yasuo's thoughts. While the now soul could hear the new tiredness in its speech, was it because of the mask...?

Then she appeared, an otherworldly beauty whose features looked sculpted by God, and is that a pout? "NO!" She yelled, forcing her face to remain serene. "Anyways, I've forgotten to mention this, but you may create your own body." She told Yasuo, before slightly waving her hand towards him.

Suddenly, a screen covered Yasuo's eyes...? Anyhow, Yasuo could see something that said 'Character Creation' in a box on the top the screen. It was akin to those 'MMOs' that the little brats played these days. However, he chose not to change anything, pressing 'Save' to exit out.

As the screen slowly fades away, he saw a glimpse of his body. Yasuo had wavy jet-black hair reaching to his shoulders and vermillion-red eyes. He also had a soft nose and equally delicate eyebrows. His face was frankly beautiful, while his body itself had well-defined muscles.

Yasuo looked around. It appears that he was naked, not that he minded. Though the little girl seemed to have a slight blush adorned on her lovely face. 'Huh, she didn't retort to that?' Yasuo thought, keeping his expression calm. 'It seems that she can't read my mind anymore.'

"Alright, now that you have your body created, let me introduce myself!" She began while Yasuo decided against commenting on her false statement. "I am the Lesser Goddess of Reincarnation, Vyra!" Which Yasuo tilted his head to in confusion. He had never heard of a 'Vyra' in any mythology.

Seeing Yasuo's expression, Vyra continued to explain with a frustrated sigh, "It seems that I'm not well known by many. Well, no matter, you don't need that information anyways. Now, please choose your last wish."

"A-ahh..." Yasuo sounded, trying to get used to once again speaking. "...For my last choice, I wish for you to accompany me on my journey!"

[Host's 'Final Wish' has been granted!] a mechanical voice verbalized in his mind. "Wait... no!" The Lesser Goddess screamed, but her voice sounded oddly happy. "But, but! I need my salary!" To Yasuo, it sounded more like an excuse than an actual reason.

But, he strangely felt pity for the now-robbed goddess. "What was your salary?" Only to dumbfounded by her answer: "Sweets!" Yasuo's eyes twitched, before ignoring her and leading his attention to the monotonous voice. 'What are you?'

[Host, I am your system, the 'Ancient Manipulator']

'Well AM, can you tell me the worlds I can transport to?' Yasuo mentally asked, already deciding a nickname for his so-called 'system.' He assumed that the system would be able to do so. It granted his 'Final Wish' after all.

And Yasuo did get an answer:

[Host can travel to the following:

[Naruto] (Recommended)

[Boku no Hero Academia]

[Hunter x Hunter]

[Danmachi]

[Dragon Ball]

[Earth of Normality] (Safest)

'AM, where are the cultivation worlds?' Yasuo asked, slightly disappointed at that fact.

[Host is currently too weak]

Yasuo gave a curt nod. From what he had read in cultivation novels, some beings were able to destroy whole worlds with a wave of their hand. The current him was unquestionably too small and weak.

'Well let's see here... [Menus]!' Yasuo randomly thought, and it worked!

___

It felt like a rollercoaster, only many, many times worse. Yasuo felt like barfing, yet he couldn't. Wait, where was he? He could see white, no, black. Then white again, and black once over. It was repeating non-stop, and Yasuo couldn't help but feel slightly nauseous.

'AM?'

[Yes, Host?]

'Where am I?'

[You are currently inside your mother's womb]

'...doesn't that mean I'm a fetus?'

[Yes, Host]

Yasuo mentally took a deep breath before inwardly shouting, 'WHAT THE F*CK?!' Once again taking a deep breath, trying to calm himself, he asked the system, 'Why didn't you warn me earlier, AM?'

[Host never asked]

Yasuo mentally nodded.

'Yeah, f*ck you too AM,' Yasuo thought. 'Anyways, where is Vyra?'

[Right next to Host's body]

If this system had a body, Yasuo would immediately slap it. It was as dull as a goldfish, and that was not a very good compliment, damn it! Thankfully, the next thing it said took away Yasuo's opinion of it: [Host has a mental connection with [Vyra] due to her status as your [Companion]. You would like to access it?]

'Yes.' Yasuo mentally replied as he felt a warm sensation course through his head. He would like himself some company through the nine months of womb-torture.

[Host has connected]

Yasuo inwardly grinned. He would troll the goddess! Hopefully!

'Oh, hi Vyra!' He cheerily expressed. He could feel her brows furrow and eye twitch in annoyance! Oh, the sweet life of trolling. 'How are you doing?'

'You... you pull me into your mess, and just act like nothing is wrong?!' Vyra retorted, only to have Yasuo's grin widened further. Yasuo was about to reply but... 'You won't be hearing from me until we're out of this womb!' She shouted back as she cut out the connection.

'Well... that's my company gone...' Yasuo sighed dejectedly.

[Host has use 'Auto-Pilot Mode' until birth] AM's voice chimed like an angel from heaven, instantly lifting Yasuo's mood. Then he suddenly remembered something: 'Well, before that, access the [Store] AM!' He had a whole 10,000 points to waste!

'Hmm...this is an important decision,' Yasuo thought as a slight, unnoticeable chill went down his spine. 'It would most likely impact me in the future.' Thinking it through, and giving it an approving nod, Yasuo command AM to: 'Buy [Random Bloodline] and [Random Summon]!'

___

I find myself in a strange, eerie forest.

Everything is black and white.

Where am I?

I ask myself, but can't find an answer.

I proceed to walk at a pace.

Hopefully, I would find civilization soon.

As I continue my travel, I couldn't help but notice an odd pattern.

The first step, plants grew, full of vigor and life, and animals came scurrying for food.

The second step, left had the plants, leaving the animals to devour others, even themselves for the sole reason of survival.

The third step, none but dead animals and rotting corpses lying everywhere.

And the fourth step, the process repeats.

Over, and over again.

What was the cause of this repeated death?

Was there a reason for it?

Or was this merely a dream?

Questions and more simply questions cloud my mind.

Nonetheless, I continue.

Hopefully, there is an eventual end to this cruel torture.

Ah! I have found myself a road!

Smiling for the first time in long, I travel along the path.

My hope for civilization is rekindling.

Walking on the road, I find myself a village.

It was certainly lively.

The streets were brimming with villagers, who were walking in and out of their little huts.

All of their faces were wearing happy smiles while talking to one another, laughter and commotion filling the effervescent streets.

I walk in.

And everyone freezes.

They were shaking while looking at me with horrified expressions.

They seem as if they had seen a demon.

Hm.

Why?

I continue my journey.

Soon reaching the ends of the village, I look back, hoping to see the lively streets.

But, there was nothing.

No people walking about, no chatter, no village.

There was naught but emptiness and silence.

I walk back to the village, wishing for any company.

Checking the roads, searching the houses, only to see nothing.

But then a sudden bout of realization punches me straight to the face.

Ah.

I see.

Hate, disgust, scorn overwhelms me.

My black and white world has now shattered.

Now, it is but,

Scarlet.

(Ding! Host has obtained [Sharingan]: [Curse of Hatred]!)

___

"AHHH!" A woman shouted in immense strain. Her face was gorgeous, with red ruby-like orbs for eyes and long, silky pure-black hair. She was currently going through labor, excepting two healthy twins. The father was beside her, wearing an agonized expression, almost as if he was sharing her pain.

The woman gripped the man's hands tightly, hearing a relieved voice in the back of her head:

"It's a boy! It's a boy, Miyrae-sama, Izuna-sama!"

The newborn had his mother's eyes, though slightly tinted to crimson. The man, Izuna, began crying. For so long, he had wanted children but was never blessed. But now, not only was he going to have kids, but also twins! This day would be a day to remember.

The woman, Miyrae, smiled weakly before another wave of pain hit her. Meanwhile, the nurses took the baby boy away to cut his umbilical cord. (A/N: I honestly don't know what they do after birth, never read about it or seen it. So, I'm sorry if this is false; I just looked in Google)

After what seemed to be hours in mere seconds, Miyrae had birthed a girl. This baby, however, was abnormally beautiful, with no new-born wrinkles to be found. Her skin was milky white,

But even then, no one seemed to mind. The nurses and doctors were busy taking care of the babies, while Izuna was frankly too jovial to care. "L-let me see my children..." Miyrae suddenly and weakly pronounced. And everyone got to work, they all deeply respected her.

Soon, Miyrae had gotten to see the twins. Her face immediately lit up with a smile filled with happiness. She noticed that neither had cried as of yet, but put that to the back of her mind. The moment was too joyous for her to worry, causing her to forget her pain altogether.

Miyrae glanced towards Izuna. "What should we name them, dear?" She asked, a lovely smile still ornamenting her face. Izuna went up and picked the two babies from Miyrae into his calloused hands.

"The boy will be named Yasuo Uchiha, and the little beauty will be Vyra Uchiha!"

(A/N: Thank you for reading to the end. This novel is my first attempt at a fan-fiction, and just writing overall. So, please be patient with me. And again, thank you for reading!)
