33 CHAPTER 33. Troubled Family.

The atmosphere inside the Tavern became silent.

Everyone was shocked including the minister and others on the table, well except Huang Shen.

'Sigh'

"Minister we need to Talk" said Ji Ren, breaking the silence on the table.

Minister Yan still wanted to talk more with Huang Shen but he had to give up at least for now.

"We will talk again Young man, as of now I had to deal with many troublesome matters so I need to go. If you have any Trouble around the city you can contact me through this." Said minister Yan as he threw a silver coin which seems to be some enchanted item to contact each other. After that he disappeared from the table with Ji Ren and the injured man leaving behind, Huang Shen, Lily, and other two members of Ji Ren's group.

Seeing them disappear just like that his desire to lean magic grew more intense.

He looked towards Lily and others who were still seemed to be little shocked by the news. He also understood that the matter must not be simple. But seeing the reactions of everyone he was curious about this Organisation.

"Um, Big Sister can I ask why are you guys are this shocked? What is this Kronos Organisation that guy on the floor is telling?" even though his voice was not loud but due to the pin-drop silence many in the tavern could heard him clearly.

His voice worked as a medicine as many people came out from the daze and regained their composer, as atmosphere inside the tavern again started to become noisy, to the point that you won't be able hold a proper conversation.

Lily and others also calmed down, but seeing the commotion now can't talk, at least not here.

She stood up and walked towards the Bar Owner.

Huang Shen also followed behind as he thought that they are going out of the tavern after paying the bill.

"Dad, is mom on the third floor?" Lily asked, turned out that the Bar Owner was her Father.

Huang Shen paused on the spot as it was now his time to get shocked, he looked towards Bar Owner then Lily with a strange gaze, as if his whole world view was collapsing.

'I don't want to sound racist or anything but how can a person with that Bear body frame have a gentle and beautiful daughter, something here is not right.' He thought.

"Yeah! She is there, probably busy with her new cooking recipes. Daughter you need to understand fathers problem, those cooking magazines are not for Human alright, tell you mother to stop torturing me with those Brick like cookies." Bar Owner said in a pleading voice towards lily as he asked his daughters help with his problem.

Well Huang Shen have to say that seeing owner act like that was a scene to behold as he probably will not be able to forget it, as the scene gave his body a chill every time he remembered it.

"I will try my best Dad, but don't hold any hopes as it's probably hard to convince mom one she decided anything." Lily said while chuckling while his dad sighed.

Even though the Tavern was noisy but due to some reason Huang Shen was able to listen the conversation between Father and Daughter clearly.

"And who do we have here?" Bar owner asked lily while pointing towards Huang Shen.

"OH, I almost forgot let me introduce you to Huang Shen, he is my new little brother." Introduced lily in a proud tone.

Probably her father knew about her characteristics so he wasn't that much shocked as he just nodded towards Huang Shen.

He was also curious about this Huang Shen who came out of nowhere and have that weird pressure that he was releasing every time.

"Hello Mr. Bea...I mean Mr. Bar Owner." Hearing Lily calling his name he also regained his composer as he also nodded towards bar owner as he hurriedly greeted him. Huang Shen's tongue was about to slip but he controlled it on time as bar owner also didn't seems to care about it.

"Hmm! Very good young man, you have pretty good potential in magic. Means you will have a pretty good future." Bar Owner came forward as he patted Huang Shen's Shoulder which cause him to almost cry in pain as all the air inside his lungs came out of his body, even though he was in his soul form, it still felt life someone slammed hard on him from the back.

'Damn, he is a Monster, I almost cant breath. He did this purposely. What a plotting Old man.' Huang Shen saw the Bar Owner smirking towards him, or maybe it was his guess. But he still cursed him in his mind.

"Will you be probably interested in working at my bar young man?" Bar Owner asked in a teasing tone.

"I will think about it, thanks for your kind offer sir." He politely declined, "BEAR" as he muttered in a hushed voice.

"Did you say something?" Bar Owner asked as he looked at him with calm eyes.

"No I didn't, it was probably your ear has grown too much hair which was confusing you by humming." Huang Shen gave a shitty excuse.

"Hmm, I was also thinking about that, probably after work I will go to the old barber." Seems like the shitty excuse worked.

Lily as always didn't even notice the awkward faced Huang Shen who was suffering in pain, may be it was his retribution. As she just pulled him towards the stairs to go to the third floor.

It took them less than 15 seconds to arrive at the third floor.

The third floor was nothing like the other two floor as it was a complete apartment, beside there was also a large door at front. Which was shut tight as running and slashing sound can be heard occasionally from the inside.

Who knows what was going on? Even lily was little confused as she slowly reached out towards the door and knocked at it hard.

'THUD, THUD, THUD.'

Heavy knocks sounded quite loud.

The running and slashing noise from inside the apartment suddenly stopped for some seconds before a running sound resounded again as this time it sounded like it was coming closer towards the door.

Huang Shen looked towards lily weirdly, as if sensing his gaze she turned to see his puzzled look.

"What?" she asked.

"Nothing." He said as he didn't want to answer that he was thinking about how her whole family was filled with abnormality.

'CLICK'

The sound of opening some kind of lock came as the door opened.

A middle aged lady around 50 years of age came out from inside as she had a gentle looking face which was quite similar to Lily, so he guessed that she might be her mother.

"Hello, Mom." Lily came forward and hugged her mother while greeting.

"Lily dear? How come you are here, isn't this the time for you to open your shop." Her mother questioned as he looked at her.

"OH, it isn't a problem I will open it late today." She replied as she moved inside the apartment.

"It's alright then." Her mother nodded as she also moved inside the apartment following her daughter as she closed the door.

Huang Shen stood outside watching the closed door.

'What the Fuck Is wrong with this family.' He cursed inwardly.
