42 Continent of Pride[4]

In a dark room somewhere in the Continent of Pride, a muscular figure could be seen seating on a chair embedded with several colorful gems. His face surrounded by a brownish beard and his eyes shone brightly in the dark.

A jadeslip manifested in the air, of which, the figure, caught in his hand.

In the next instant, a smile could be seen suffused on his face, his gaze pierced towards the south.

Back at the City of Valencia, three people could be seen strolling on the streets, they would occasionally glance at the stalls lined up in the area, the group made up by a reddish-haired youth, an exhausted elder and an aquamarine-haired young girl filled with energy.

For Khan, the Continent of Pride wasn't so unfamiliar, but after a hundred thousand years later, it looked extremely different from the past, back then, the members of the Bear Race was so savage that if they saw a human walking around them, they would immediately attack.

But now, Khan could see several figures that clearly belonged to the human race, 'It seems like the discrimination about the human race is slowly dissipating from their hearts.'

'If so, what was the purpose of that Bloodline Check earlier, and why did I suddenly have the Divine Dragon bloodline?' Khan mused, He heard Lily's laugh and turned around, there he found a cheekily smiling Lily who said, "Are you thinking about why they checked our Bloodlines, right?"

Khan nodded, 'How did she read my mind?'

"That's because they wanted to make sure that a member of the Demon Race can't enter the city." Khan's eyebrows locked towards this explanation if someone asked about who was the most familiar about that particular race in the world, if Khan claimed first, no one would object.

Khan's bloodthirsty mindset came from fighting against the Demon Race, for they were a race that specifically liked to feasts on humans, Khan didn't have an ounce of mercy for them.

However, Khan was sure that he had annihilated them all, if so, how did they exist until now? Khan's mind became filled with innumerable questions, about what exactly happened in the time that he slumbered, perhaps, everything will be answered when I arrive in the Divine Dragon Sect... His eyes flashed with a solemn light.

"Demon Race, those bastards still exists?"

"Yeah, although about a hundred thousand years ago, they were pushed into the brink of extinction by some sect, I think... It's called the Divine Talisman Sect?"

"!" Khan's eyes widened, 'Th-the Sect still exists?!' His breathing became haggard, he stood there, huffing and puffing, prompting Lily to worriedly ask,

"Hey, what happened to you? Khan!" Khan pushed her shoulders, he nodded in reassurance that he was fine.

"No, that's wrong, that sect wasn't called the Divine Talisman Sect, I think It's called, yeah, right! The Divine Rune Sect!"

Booming sounds echoed in Khan's mind, his calmed nerves once again exploded into anger, his eyes shone in a crimson light as he stood there, his fist clenched in anger.

"Sect Master, mind if you tell me about how did the Divine Rune Sect come into being?" Khan's bleak tone filled with anger rang out, causing the figures of the other two to freeze on the spot.

It took a while before the Sect Master could answer, "According to what I heard from the Sect Records, the Divine Rune Sect appeared somewhere around a hundred thousand years ago, as for how I don't have any information about it."

Khan took a deep breath, calmed his raging nerves and stood up.

"Are you okay, Khan?"

Khan glanced at Lily, petted her head as he revealed a gentle smile, "Yeah." However, a light that could swallow everything could be seen in his eyes.

The group strolled around for a moment with Lily basically buying everything that she liked despite the Sect Master's protest, Khan asked and found that the Continent of Pride uses a currency called Pisos.

"Only a thousand Pisos for a try! Win and get double your payment!" A shout that resonated towards the sky echoed attracting the attention of the two. They looked and found that a crowd surrounded a wooden table, with two men seating down with their arm crossed towards each other.

"Go for it! Go for it! I placed my bet on you so you better win!" The crowd exploded into cheers as the two men placed their strength in a battle for supremacy above the table.

A cracking sound echoed, followed by a miserable shriek. The crowd shook their heads in disappointment.

Khan frowned, 'Are they doing a test of strength?'

"Woah! Our champion remains undefeated! The Iron Fist, Barbarosa!" A man approached the figure seated on the table and raised his fist to the skies.

"Man, that was anti-climatic, I thought that he would be defeated..."

"Another one bites the dust..."

The man who broke his arm went on to complain but was sent off by Barbarosa's glare that didn't allow any resistance.

"Who's next?! Who's next to challenge our champion! I will be raising the stakes! You can triple your payment if you challenge!" The announcer became desperate when he found that no one had the heart to challenge the champion.

Khan's eyes shone when he heard this declaration, his eyes revealed a small smile, The Sect Master shrugged, towards this farce, he didn't hold any kind of interest.

"Khan, are you really going to challenge him?" Lily's voice rang out, however, even though she tried her best to whisper, the members of the Bear Race thanks to their innate hearing sensitivity which was double of what the human race has, their eyes flickered with lights as they stared at Khan.

Khan threw her a reprimanding look while the latter turned her gaze away as if she was saying that, 'Hmmph! If you lose then don't tell them that I know you!'

Khan shrugged, despite the numerous gazes poured towards him, he remained indifferent as he walked towards the wooden table and sat on the chair.

'Hooh, interesting...'Barbarosa thought, 'Not only he's calm, he's also confident...' His eyes gave off an amused light.

Khan stared at his opponent, more specifically on his body, especially his waist and shoulders, 'Hmmm, he has an extremely trained body, could it be that he walks on the physical path?'

"May I ask something?" Khan turned to the announcer.

"Feel free to ask!"

"Are we allowed to use something that isn't part of our physical prowess?"

"No, definitely, not, since this is meant to test each other's strength."

"But we can use anything for as long as it doesn't use Qi, right?"

The announcer nodded and Khan gave a small smile, he turned towards Barbarosa, placed his right hand on the table and said, "I'll be betting about a million Pisos, is that fine?"

Barbarosa's eyes widened while the crowd exploded into clamors, he pondered for a moment before nodding his head, 'This kid really is interesting...' He thought as he decided that he will use the entirety of his strength to crush Khan.

"But sir, we need a deposit to make sure that you're capable of paying it..." The announcer said with an awkward smile on his face.

"Here!" Before Khan could respond, the Sect Master threw a backpack, of which, the announcer quickly caught, inspecting the contents for a while, he nodded in acknowledgment.

"Everyone, gather around! For the first time in history, we will witness the peak of all fights! With a million at stake, will the young man succeed, or he will be crushed along with his arm by Barbarosa?!" The announcer exclaimed, prompting the dispersing crowd to gather like bees.

Their eyes shone with excitement when they looked at Khan as if they couldn't wait to see his face painted with despair.

"Are you guys, ready?!"

Khan closed his eyes, a faint golden light materialized on the top of his left, index finger. He flicked and the golden light flew towards Barbarosa's right shoulder, piercing towards a distinct acupoint that the Bear Race had.

"Start!"

Bang!

The wooden table exploded into countless fragments, the crowd, Lily, and the Sect Master stared at Khan with widened eyes, for in an instant, the reigning champion was defeated.

Barbarosa's face became filled with confusion, "Wh-why was I unable to gather my strength?!' His eyes shone with anger as he shouted at Khan.

"Y-yo-you cheated! You made it so that I can't gather strength in my arm!"

Khan only smiled in response, "Cheated? Okay then, I cheated, but do you have any evidence?"

"Y-you shameless!" Barbarosa pointed at him, his face reddened in anger. The crowd also found this matter to be strange, how could such a frail young man easily defeat the prevailing champion?

"Yeah, he obviously cheated!"

"Fucking cheater, are you that desperate to earn money?"

"If not for the laws in this City I would've immediately killed that kid!"

The crowd expressed their dissent towards the matter, Khan glanced at the announcer and saw his awkward smile.

"Since everyone here is saying that I cheated, how about you wrestle arms with me? With that, you can find out if I truly cheated..." Khan suggested everyone in the vicinity wore a look of enlightenment since they couldn't find any evidence that the young man cheated, how about they use themselves to prove the young man's weakness?

Virtually anyone in the area flocked, while the announcer bought a new wooden table, Barbarosa who stood at the side gave a cold smile towards Khan's antics.

However, he was bound to be disappointed for everyone that challenged Khan succumbed to his monstrous strength, despite Khan's injuries, his powerful physique tempered by tribulation lightning wasn't a joke.

In the end, Barbarosa could only stare as Khan pocketed three million Pisos, Khan even juggled the bag filled with Pisos and whistled as he walked away.

Every time he passed across a pedestrian, they would throw a gaze filled with malicious intent, but upon remembering Khan's display of strength they would dispel all of their thoughts.

"Damn, kid, you're crazy! Don't you know about the condition of your body?!"

"Stop complaining, Sect Master, now at least you won't become too much of a miser since we have an extra three million." Khan winked at him, causing the Sect Master to helplessly sigh.

Lily who stood at the side became overjoyed as she went on in a shopping spree, practically buying every clothes that she liked, Khan also strolled around looking for a shop that sold medicinal herbs, but he was disappointed to find out that they could only see those shops in the capital, which was still about fifteen thousand kilometers away.

Thanks to the three million that they had, the group were able to rent a decent inn to stay at, the Sect Master rented two rooms, each with a single bed, Lily protested for a while with this arrangement but she eventually assented.

Inside the room, Khan could be seen seating on a decent looking wooden chair, the room that they rented was the most expensive one, complete with daily amenities and it even had a supply of warm water and a private bathroom.

The faint scent of shampoo wafted in the air, Khan gulped, as a creaking sound echoed, Lily came out with a towel wrapped around her wrist, her ample chest barely covered.

Khan stared at her before complaining in his mind, 'When did this scenario become normal?!' But his head repeatedly nodded as he scoured Lily's body.

"Now that I think about it, Why did I suddenly have the Nature Dragon's bloodline?" Khan asked about this strange matter that bugged him for the entire day.

But upon noticing Lily's frozen and flushed figure, Khan had a thought forming in his mind that he didn't dare to confirm.

"I-I-It's because of the Yin-yang Assimilation Method..." Lily spoke in a hushed tone. Khan's eyes flickered as he remembered a particular line that explained the Assimilation word.

"Only those who have absolute trust with their partners should cultivate in this method, for this method includes the assimilation of everything to become one."

"So that's the goddamned reason, why!" Khan exclaimed, he thought about the aquamarine dragon that formed from his blood.

"Hmmm, the dragon that materialized from my blood didn't look as incredible as yours." Although Khan knew the reason, he still asked, prompting Lily to give a smug smile as she explained.

"That's because I have a higher bloodline concentration than yours!" Lily crossed her arms together looking very proud of herself.

"Because I received your bloodline, thanks to the Yin-yang Assimilation Method, I can also increase its concentration, right?" Khan's eyes shone with an excited light, his face suffused a naughty smile as she approached the retreating Lily.

But how could Lily escape the clutches of the naughty Khan? Within a few seconds, Lily succumbed to his attacks and the room became filled with innumerable moans that would shy anyone that heard it.

Not until the light that came from the sun appeared did the suppressed moans from the rooms stopped.
