Discipline

Discipline, Pride, and Courage. These are all that define a Hirata.

"You, my son, are a soldier." The man said, "created for greatness the one who'll lead us against the Saito Clan."

The boy with golden eyes and tied-up hair stared at his father, not truly understanding what he was saying.

The man laughed. "your true training starts tomorrow for your birthday."

"ANBU" his mother yelled in the distance.

The father looked toward the sound and smiled "looks like mother is looking for you." he tapped his head and walked away.

She came and grabbed Anbu by his hand and walked away. They got into their home, and she sat on the couch and laid back.

"I'm sorry, Anbu," she said.

"What's wrong?" he questioned.

"Tomorrow for your birthday, instead of gifts and loving like you always got, your father will turn you into a soldier."

"That's fine. I want to be someone who lives up to dads requirements."

"You're weak."

"I've only hit you three times, and you are already on the floor."

Anbu's father kicked him in the gut and sent him flying through a building.

"Do you think you can defeat any Saito like this?" He said.

"I.. won't break.." Anbu said as he got back up.

"Now that's my son." He said as he dashed toward Anbu, preparing another attack.

Anbu looked at his father, slowly turning his attack into a flying knee strike. He saw it coming. All he had to do was move. Anbu slowly tilted his head to the right and moved his arms in place of his head.

The father changed his attack into a sidekick to Anbu's chest and knocked the air out of him, making him unconscious.

"Pathetic." He said as he walked away, "I'll have to try again with different women."

Anbu's mother came running, rushed to Anbu's aid, and hugged him.

"I'm sorry, Anbu," she said as a tear rolled down his cheek.

Time passed, and they were in their home again. The mother takes care of Anbu at night, and the father beats and trains him during the day.

"How are you feeling?" she asked him.

Anbu tried to sit up, but the pain kicked in, forcing him to lay back down.

"Try not to move too much," she said as she got him some ice.

"Mother.." Anbu said.

'Yes?" she replied,

"Who are the Saito's, and why does father hate them."

There was a moment of silence, but she answered.

"The Saito clan is a group of specials like us considered the strongest worldwide everyone knows the Saito's. The things you heard that define a Hirata were all created by your father his sick ideals corrupted our clan. We never used to be like this. His pride and competitive side can't accept leading a lineage that's second place."

Anbu sat there in silence. "So is it in my blood to hate them as well?" he questioned soon after.

She never thought she'd hear her son say that word for him to believe he was destined to hate, and it was his only purpose in existence, but she couldn't deny it. It was nothing but the truth.

Anbu sat in his backyard when he heard a cackling sound. A portal appeared out of nowhere. He went to it and put his hand through it, then fully entered.

In front of him were thousands of dragons, all staring at him.

"Who are you" a white dragon questioned.

"He is the leader of the Dragons realm." An ancient dragon appeared, "and I have summoned him."

No dragon spoke soon after.

A black dragon with gold eyes and a gold dragon with black eyes flew toward Anbu.

They stood before him, and he laid his hand to touch them.

"These two will be under contract with you. Their powers and aid belong to you, but it isn't free." The Ancient dragon said.

"That doesn't matter right now. Soon after your Hirata issues pass, I'll contact you again."

Anbu got pushed out of the portal, and he landed in his backyard again.

For the next couple of years, this was all that was drained into Anbu's body.

Anbu grew up, and he caught the eye of many women. He would, at times, get with some to ease his pain, but he knew what they were after, and he made sure they never got it.

Anbu laid in bed with this woman he met, and she touched his scars, ones that would never heal dealt by his father's blows.

"Are you training too hard," she questioned him.

"I'm not training enough." He answered.

"Why are you doing this to yourself?" she asked again.

"My father still doesn't bat me an eye. He sees my strengths as a regular Hirata, and I still haven't gotten my core ability yet."

"And why does all that matter?"

Anbu looked at her and got up. "because Discipline, Pride, and Courage are all that define a Hirata; if I can't live up to these, I'm just a regular special.

Anbu left and continued his walk until he ran into his father with about a hundred men.

"What's going on?" Anbu questioned.

Today is the day we take on the Saito Clan and show our dominance." He answered.

"Oh ok, let me just go grab my stuff real quick," Anbu said.

"You are not coming." He said, "You'll do nothing but hold us back."

They left the area and continued their walk.

Anbu stood there without saying a word, then clenched his fist.

"I'll show them that I am what I was created for. A Saito killer."

Anbu rushed home and looked for a sword. He found a metal knight's katana and picked it up, and ran after his father and his men trail.

They made it to the main Saito clan campsite.

A group of Saito's walked out and stood in front of the Hirata.

"Where Kumugawa." Anbu's father said.

"Shiki.." Kumugawa walked out of his tent and looked at Anbu's father.

"what can I acquaint you with, old friend," Kumugawa said.

"I am not your friend a Hirata like me to befriend a Saito is purely disgusting," Shiki said.

Kumugawa stared at Shiki.

"So what are you here for," Kumugawa questioned.

Shiki stood in front of Kumugawa and swung his fist to attack him but got his arm grabbed.

"This childish behavior again," Kumugawa said. "I have a son I need to take care of. Just go," he said.

Shiki twisted his arm to get out of the hold and drove his fist into Kumugawa's chest.

"I'm not that same guy from back then."

Shiki took his fist out and did a 360 spin kick to Kumugawa's face, slightly missing and scraping his nose.

"Guess we have no other option then," Kumugawa said. "Let's handle this head vs. head with no interference.

"I couldn't ask for better," Shiki said as he took off his robe and told his men to back up.

Anbu appeared and laid back in the distance, watching the encounter.

"Today, I'll show you what it means to be a Hirata," Shiki said.

"You won't show me anything that I don't already know." Kumugawa grinned.
