4 Vendors Rage

The girl with the full body robe and vendor both turned to look at Ning Fan. At first she thought he was trying to buy the pill himself, she thought even if it was phony all she would lose is her Essence Crystal's. Then she turned to the vendor doubtfully.

"Is… this true" asked the girl with the full body robe.

The vendor wasn't a fool he could hear the doubt she had from her pause. The vendor also noticed that she treated Ning Fan impartially. He immediately knew Ning Fan was purposely ruining his business.

"Miss it is true this is called the, 'Fool's Market' but I assure you this is a hundred percent genuine, you can tell from the fluctuations in the pill, if it's not genuine then I'll give you a full refund" the vendor gave off a persuading feeling.

She just stared at the pill ignoring what Ning Fan said. Ning Fan could tell she was leaning more towards buying the pill, not considering what he said. Ning Fan knew she wasn't at fault, the offer was very enticing.

If a stranger came up to you and told you the one of a kind item worth a fortune sold for very little was fake would you believe him. Instead doubts would creep into their heads, is he lying and trying to buy it himself so he could earn a fortune, will I lose this once in a lifetime opportunity. Their greed would overwhelm them and would have very little faith in the others words, if there was any.

Ning Fan knew that the only way to convince her was taking a dangerous approach but he decided that it's better than having this regret to burden him his whole life. Ning Fan didn't notice he was subconsciously treating her as his little sister.

"I am willing to buy that pill for double the worth of a Spirit pill, but in return you must swallow it" Ning Fan resolutely declared.

The shop owner gritted his teeth cursing inside. He felt as though he wanted to cut Ning Fan into several pieces and use him to feed some wild beast.

Ning Fan wasn't unfamiliar to this and could see his contemptment that normal people wouldn't be able to notice.

Ning Fan didn't just protect his little sister from hurting herself but from people too. To protect his little sister he almost always had to face the full brunt of their rage. He occasionally got into a couple fights especially at night when the thugs were most active.

" I respect my customers since I told her I'd sell it for half the price then I will. If I don't have the trust of my customers then how will I keep up with the other vendors in the Black Market" Before the girl that had every inch of her body covered turned he adamantly gave his refute.

Ning Fan finally realized that even the lowest vendors in the Black Market knew how to make ends meet. Ning Fan can only hope that his words had caused some doubt. Luckily his words did.

"... Then I'll renege my offer" the girl hesitated a little before she replied.

She was closely observing vendors actions but deep down inside she hoped that Ning Fan was lying.

The vendor had a sinister gleam in his eyes, he knew that this deal was already over. He wanted to rip Ning Fan into pieces but he was considering Ning Fan's strength. Ning Fan noticed the change in his eyes.

After thinking it over for a while the vendor estimated that Ning Fan is around the age of twenty-five judging from the brightness of his skin and sound of his voice. Without any hint of hesitation the vendor took action.

Ning Fan was already on guard before the vendor attacked, Ning Fan knew this would happen when he interfered.

The vendor shot out with speed surpassing that of the fifth rite of the Metamorphosis realm. Ning Fan was shocked by his speed, but Ning Fan still had room to counter.

When the vendor launched his full powered strike it gave Ning Fan a small opening to counter with. Ning Fan tilted his head a little, and stretched his hands over his shoulder while turning at the same time. The same time the vendor reached him, Ning Fan was already holding his arm. Ning Fan felt a burning sensation in his hands as he was throwing the vendor over him. The vendor was thrown into another vendor's store.

Ning Fan took this chance to run away. Judging from how he got hurt he suspected the vendor should be at the Nascent realm. It seems that at the Nascent realm he can manipulate the energy in his body and cause it to have an explosive strength. With such an advantage Ning Fan knew he had no chance of winning.

Ning Fan grabbed the wrist of the girl and ran towards the second area. Ning Fan knew if he left her here and he was gone the vendor would vent his anger on her.

"Follow me I'm familiar with the places in the Black Market if you don't I'm afraid you'll end up in his hands" shouted Ning Fan whilst running.

The girl understood her situation, she retracted her hand and closely followed Ning Fan. At the same time the scarred vendor got into a fight with the other vendor.

Ning Fan and the girl managed to reach the second area safely and took a short rest.

"We'll run towards the tunnel in front of us, it has the shortest distance towards the next area" Ning Fan explained "Since we're going to be cooperating for a while what should I call you?" asked Ning Fan

She stared at Ning Fan for a while. Ning Fan couldn't tell what she was thinking besides wearing a full body robe she also wore a mask with tinted lenses.

"Just call me Yue, I think that works for now" the girl replied.

Ning Fan hesitated for a while before nodding. After their conversation they ran towards the thirty-eighth area. The second area wasn't that populated it was just an intersection. No one would choose to live in the second area since it is more dangerous than living in the thirty-eighth area.

There was a time when people attempted to live here, but they all got killed by the people from the three area's that intersected with it whether for gambling money, spending money, or to vent out anger. After that the people from the Black Market made no effort to live there.

It took them five minutes to reach the passage to the thirty-eighth area. After they ran into the tunnel someone arrived at the second area.

The person was the scarred vendor, his body was full of sword wounds and had a fifth of his Qi remaining. Even though his opponent wasn't at the Nascent realm he was incredibly skilled otherwise he wouldn't be in such a miserable state. He was full contempt that he didn't care about the condition of his body. He felt as long as he caught up to Ning Fan he could end his life.

The vendor is familiar with the Black Market, he wasn't dumb either he could guess what Ning Fan was thinking. After resting for a minute he ran towards their direction.

A hundred meters before Ning Fan could reach the thirty-eighth floor he heard footsteps coming from behind and they weren't Yue's.

Ning Fan realized how dumb he was to run to the thirty-eighth floor, if he could think of something like this what would stop the other person from thinking the same. If he ran towards the third area he would be a lot safer than he is now.

Ning Fan's speed is a hundred feet per second while the other was moving around 200 ft per second which is twice his speed. If the other wasn't tired from the battle he had a few minutes ago he would be much faster.

Ning Fan decided to stop running to catch his breath before the vendor arrived he had to prepare as much as he could. Yue didn't leave she stood behind him, she didn't understand the Black Market that well so she didn't want to make any rash decisions.

Almost a quarter of a minute later the vendor appeared in front of them. He looked no different than a demon, that's all covered in blood from his wounds, with hatred apparent in his eyes.

"Hahahaha… you really were dumb enough to run to the thirty-eighth area. It seems she already trusts you enough to follow you here." The vendor screamed "That's good I really needed someone to play around with after this"

As soon as the vendor finished his sentence there was a murderous aura coming from Ning Fan. Even though Ning Fan was upset he tried to keep a calm composure which would give an eerie feeling if one could see his murderous intent.

"I've dealt with bigger and scarier people than you and they all became crippled, your no different than those cannon fodder" Ning Fan took off his robe revealing his toned muscles.

"System how long do you estimate I need to hold out for till his Qi drops to a point that I can fight back" asked Ning Fan in his head.

「 One Minute if he recklessly uses his remaining Qi, five minutes if he's careful」

The vendor likes bullying and killing the weak when he heard Ning Fan who in his perspective was no different than an ant say he was mere cannon fodder, he became enraged.

He immediately wanted to teach Ning Fan a painful lesson. He learned from his first confrontation that frontal attacks weren't enough to land a hit on Ning Fan. Instead of attacking him head on, he decided to attack the girl behind him she sounded younger than Ning Fan so he speculated that she was weaker than Ning Fan.

The vendor vendor used his speed advantage to zig zag past Ning Fan. Ning Fan noticed this and couldn't understand why he would target her first if he was upset with Ning Fan.

Ning Fan couldn't do anything to him if he was targeting her. Ning Fan jumped back as fast as he could she was only fifty feet away from him. The vendor then changed direction and charged at Ning Fan. Ning Fan felt relieved even though he was quicky sprinting towards her as fast as he could he made sure to be able to defend himself if the vendor changed directions.

The vendor was in front of Ning Fan when he charged towards him. Ning Fan threw his robe at the direction of the vendor while throwing himself forward to perform a low kick.

All the vendor saw was a robe in front of him, when he punched the robe he felt Ning Fan's low kick knock him off balance. He fell at a fast speed which made him have to use more Qi to not cause the injuries on his body to worsen.

Ning Fan took this opportunity to close the distance between himself and Yue.

The vendor quickly got on his feet but Ning Fan already next Yue at that time. This time the vendor didn't bother to look at Yue he was enraged that a mere ant like Ning Fang could cause him so much trouble.

Yue was just staring at everything indifferently as this wasn't her problem, she didn't try to help Ning Fan she was still suspicious of Ning Fan, she only went with him because of her safety. She learned from her encounter with the vendor not everyone is as they seem. Even though Ning Fan saved her, she didn't know his intentions.

The vendor kept madly attacking Ning Fan. Ning Fan kept dodging, some hits landed but they didn't fully connect. This wasn't Ning Fan's first life or death fight, he used his bodies durability, and fighting experience he accumulated over the years to last against him. Ning Fan successfully lasted a minute and their real fight starts now.
