Anastasia awoke to the sound of her alarm blaring. She turned it off before getting up. The teenager got dressed in the outfit she had set out the night before and grabbed her backpack, which was already packed also. She walked downstairs and grabbed one of her milk bottles that her mom had painted black so no one would see that it truly contained blood. Her parents knew teachers would be strict about certain drinks allowed in their classroom, so they put her down as having to drink a special mix filled with special vitamins and supplements. She took the bottle and walked to their fridge, and grabbed a big hug of what was labeled cranberry juice and poured it into her bottle. She put the kids back on both bottles and smiled at her mother and father as they entered.

"Hi Mom, and Dad. How was your morning?" Ana smiled. She was very close with her parents and loved them dearly. They supported her no matter what and on those rough days where she wished she was just human, they would help and do anything they could to make her feel more normal. They were never too nervous with her health or like if she drank a little bit or how she loved these herbal cigarettes, which usually were made with ginseng leaves, due to the fact that she had mastered her healing. They would have no true effect on her especially considering the fact that she is technically not alive yet not truly dead. She doesn't actually need to breathe but has become accustomed to acting as human as possible. She grabbed her gold cigarette case and lighter from the counter before walking over and giving them a hug.

"Stiles is supposed to be coming here and picking me up in the next ten minutes so I'm going get my phone and maybe smoke right before he gets here." She smiled at them before running back up the stairs to grab her phone. She then turned around and went right back down but then stopped to put on her shoes. After sliding them on, she went out the front door holding her water bottle, cigarettes, phone and school bag. She sat down on her front steps, lighting up one of her peach flavored ones. she put her lips to the object and inhaled. It tasted like peach tea and smelled like it too. As soon as she finished, Stiles' blue jeep approached. She hid her cigarettes in her bag and ran up to his Jeep, getting in the passenger seat.

"Are you ready for the first day of sophomore year?" Stiles laughed.

"I'm ready for school to already be over." The girl answered his question. He only laughed harder, and then pulled out of the driveway and drove to the school. Stiles then filled her in on what she had missed last night. He also commented on how she totally should come the next time, except she wouldn't. She didn't want to risk being near a dead body and exposing her long hidden secret. He then parked the Jeep and they talked about random things until Scott ran up to them. Anastasia sniffed the air and could smell something different. As Scott got closer she knew it was coming from him, she knew he was becoming a werewolf and she'd have to be careful with not only her self smelling supernatural/dead but her bottle of blood. She could see he smelled her scent, but he didn't understand yet. She zoned out, almost starting to panic when she saw Scott waving his hand in front of her face.

"Anastasia, are you there?" he looked concerned. She jolted back to reality.

"Oh, um yeah, what were you saying?" She asked. Scott then proceeded to tell her about how some wolf took a bite out of him and how he had to run home and hasn't had to use his inhaler. She ignores the two until they reached class. Scott sat down with Ana on his left and Stiles on his right. Mr.Curtis enters the room and Ana almost wants to roll her eyes just at his entrance.

"As you all know by now, there was indeed a body found in the woods last night. I'm sure your eager little minds are coming up with all sorts of macabre scenarios as to how it happened but I've been told that the police have a suspect in

custody." The two teenagers looked to Stiles in shock who shrugged his shoulders in response. "A vagrant with a long history of psychiatric disorders was discovered camping out in the woods near where the body was found. Which means your undivided attention can be given to the syllabus outlining the semester on your desks. Read it now. And by read I don't mean skim." The teacher handed out the packets as students groaned in response. The room went silent and everyone was reading, well except Scott. Ana noticed his distraction and had a feeling it was the hearing. She picked up a little bit of a girl outsides conversation about forgetting a pen before focusing back on her work. The door to their class then opened causing heads to rise and look at the source of the noise.

"Class, this is our new student

Allison Argent. Please do your best to make her feel welcome." The principal spoke loud yet softly. The brunette smiled before going and taking the only open seat which happened to be right behind Scott. Ana felt her nerves rise, recognizing the last name. She looked toward the girl to see Scott handing her a pen. She thanked him silently before going to read the same packet everyone else was focused on. Anastasia was starting to let her nerves take over, so to calm down she opened her water bottle and took a chug of the blood. She wiped her mouth before anyone could see the red liquid left on her mouth. Scott immediately smelled the distinct metal smell and snapped his head to the girl. She quickly put the lid on the bottle and set it down. Scott started writing on a scale piece of paper, and then passed it to Ana. She opened the paper and grimaced.

„are you okay? I smelt blood.„

Ana immediately wrote back, „I'm fine, it could be the iron and magnesium supplements in my drink that you were smelling.„

She passed the note back to Scott, praying her would believe her. He read her response and nodded giving a sympathetic smile before they all were able to continue with their school work. The rest of the day droned on until lunch. The trio entered and Scott seemed to have been brutally attacked by the sound of everything. Ana immediately knew how he felt but didn't know what to do. She froze watching one of her best friends pressing his hands to his ears.

"you all right?" Stiles asked Scott, not understanding what was happening. Scott looked around until his eyes landed on Allison. He seemed to gain control shortly after that. The group then went and sat down, their friend Rebecca joining them.

"Can somebody tell me how New Girl is here all of five minutes and she's already at Lydia's table?" Rebecca or better known as Harley asked. The boys and Ana's stare was directed towards Lydia Martin's table where Allison sat.

"Because she's hot." Ana spoke softly.

"Beautiful people herd together." Stiles continued Ana's thought. Harley smirked at Stiles.

"Is that why Lydia isn't herding

with you?" She said causing Ana to burst out laughing. Stiles looked offended at her question.

"Lydia's a long term project, okay? And trust me, I've got all the patience in the world for a high yield investment like her." Stiles said exasperated. Ana couldn't focus on what they were saying. Her focus was stuck on the girl she had a crush on for two years. Her name was Mad and she was a close friend with Lydia. Ana had fallen for the other girl immediately upon seeing her in eiegth grade. She obviously had yet to tell her friends, being stuck in the habit of keeping secrets from them. She could still hear Stiles and Harley's bickering.

"Well, I don't think New Girl's thatpretty. Scott, you think she's pretty? Scott?" Harley asked trying to get Scott's attention. He stayed silent, staring directly at Allison.

"I'd take that as a yes." Stiles remarked. after moments of being stuck in a trance Ana was able to finally look over to Scott to see it looked as if he was listening to the other tables' conversation. She then decided to try and listen too to see what he was so focused on, but little did she know Stiles had noticed both of them looked as if they were listening intently.

"You sure? Everyone's going after the scrimmage game." Ana heard Mae say. Ana's throat started to become dry.

"You mean like football?" Allison asked innocently. Jackson was heard laughing causing Ana to roll her eyes.

"Football is a joke at Beacon. The sport here is Lacrosse. We won the state championship the last three years--" Jackson explained before Lydia intergected.

"Because of a certain team captain." She smiled but Jackson seemed to ignore her remark.

"Every season starts with a

scrimmage to decide the new first string. You ever watch Lacrosse?" He asked the girl, almost like he was flirting. Allison obviously seemed uncomfortable.

"I'm actually not sure how it's

played other than--well, violently." Allison laughed slightly.

"Maybe you should just come see for yourself. We have practice today. You don't have to be anywhere right after school, do you?" Jackson once again sounded as if he was desperately trying to flirt with the newer girl.

"Well, no--" Allison responded very nervous before Lydia intergected.

"Perfect. You're coming." Lydia said before they all got up and we're leaving for class. Well all except Mae, she said she would head back with them in a little bit. She sat there when she felt Ana's eyes staring at her. Scott had stopped looking that way when Allison left, so the three others were involved in a conversation except Stiles had noticed Ana's stare at the girl. Mae and Ana's eyes stared into one another, making Ana nervous. Then Mae smiled and caused Ana to gain a shy smile back. Mae set down her napkin and picked up her pen from her bag. She quickly scribbled out a note before standing up and when she walked past Ana's table, she slyly set down the napkin and gave Ana a wink. Ana stared at the teenage girl, watching her leave. As soon as she left, Ana accidentally got the whole groups attention when she scrambled to grab the napkin, her hands visibly shaking.

„ I caught you staring when I first sat down. I was wondering if you would maybe wanna sit with me at lacrosse practice, I know Scott and Stiles are on the team, so I just figured. If not maybe we can see each other another time.„ Ana read the note making a very quiet and very soft squeal, which only caught the attention of Stiles and Scott. Harley was focused on eating. The boys looked at the girl with a light pink covering her cheeks. They didn't want to say something and back her into a corner and so the boys just shared a look and went on with their day. The rest of Anastasia's classes went on forever. Finally the bell rang signifying the school day was over. Ana quickly threw all of her stuff into her bag and texted her group chat with Stiles and Scott, saying she would see them on the field. She spedwalked to the field to see Lydia, Allison, and Mae sitting down. Mae looked around and most everyone could see how anxious she was, hoping Anastasia was going to come. Finally Mae spotted Ana and waved shyly. Ana quickly came over and sat down right next to Mae. Lydia watched as the two girls sat in an awkward silence yet she could see the attraction they had for one another, even Allison could see it.

"Hi, what's your name?" Lydia asked Ana. Ana's hands had started to sweat slightly. She smiled before replying.

"I'm Anastasia, but people usually either call me Ana or Stasia, although my family just calls me A." The girl smiled at them. The girls smiled back offering the same emotion right back at Ana.

"Hi Ana, I'm Allison." The Brunette offered a small wave. The group was pulled from conversation to hear Scott and coach having a slight disagreement. Ana looked at Mae and the two were slightly distracted making small talk, when Allison decided to ask about Scott. Mae and Ana were looking at each other briefly while making small talk, they talked about their home life and their aspirations, both nervous to ask the one question they both wanted to. Mae finally worked up the nerve to lean into Ana.

"Are you into boys... or maybe girls?" Mae whispered. Ana started to feel her palms lightly sweating again.

"Girls, fully girls." Ana whispered with a sigh into Mae's ear.

"Are you... out at all?" Mae asked quietly. Ana paused, fear slightly sticking her like lightning. She shook her head no. Mae offered a sad smile.

"Me either." the girl mumbled. Ana slowly brought her hand to Mae's, before looking up at the girl.

"What if, we kept this quiet, at least until we both felt comfortable." Ana whispered. Mae nodded smiling. Their attention is brought back to the field to see Scott catching every single ball.

"He seems like he's pretty good." Allison offered a small smile. Lydia seemed to be entranced, yet confused.

"Very good." Lydia says almost like a whisper. They all then watch Jackson approach the front of the line, and Scott seems to lose some confidence. Jackson Throws the ball as hard as he could only to notice Scott has caught it. Everyone cheered Scott on, including Lydia. Practice then ends and Mae and Ana walk quickly to escape. Mae hands Ana another piece of paper, smiling.

"It's my number, defintely text me." Mae smirks, giving Ana a hug. Mae walks towards Lydia, probably her ride home. The two wave at each other and then Ana quickly runs to stand outside the boys locker room. She stays there waiting for Scott and Stiles to come out. When they finally exit the door, Ana is smiling a little too big and looking at her phone.

"So, what's up with you and Mae?" Stiles asks non chalantly as the three of them walk to Stiles' jeep. Ana's eyes go slightly wide, she should have known they'd notice.

"Umm... okay so you remember how I said „I'm just jealous of her„ for all of eigth grade year? So uh that was total bill shit. I realised I had a crush and was nervous of how my family and people at school would react so I just ended up lying to you guys. But uh... turns out she likes me back and we are on the down low cause she is not out yet." Ana said playing with her fingers. The boys smiled at her.

"Well I'm very happy it work out for you. You can see how much she likes you." Scot smiled, patting Ana's shoulder before giving her a side hug. Scott had become accustomed to his new found hearing meaning he could tone down everyone's heart beat but when he hugged Ana... he heard nothing. Scott was obviously confused but ignored it as they got in Stiles' jeep. Stiles then explained the plan of looking in the woods to try and find Scott's inhaler. Anastasia decided she could help them out.

The trio wanded the woods, Ana occasionally taking a swig from her bottle. She hadn't drank much of the blood today and needed to finish at least one of those bottles a day. Scott would immediately smell it and would gag each time she opened the bottle. They continued to look, Stiles and Scott talking about all of his new abilities.

"I know! You're a werewolf!

Okay, obviously, I'm kidding. But if you see me in shop class melting down all the silver I can find it's because Friday's a full moon." Stiles tried joking but Ana paused, she forgot Friday was the full moon.

"I swear this was it. The body was here. The deer came running, I dropped my inhaler..." Scott said, trying to remember what had happened that night.

"Maybe the killer moved the body." Stiles spoke, making Ana and Scott look directly at him. Ana started to walk faster, trying to look for the small object. When she nearly ran into Derek Hale. She knew he was a werewolf and he could smell the vampire since the trio entered the woods.

"What are you doing here?" He whispered asking Ana, "Are you trying to make them your next victims?" Derek stared at the girl accusingly. She raised her hands up in defence.

"No I never drink that type, just the animals. I don't mean anyone any harm" The girl responded. She heard Scott continuing his conversation to Stiles', oblivious to Derek standing in front of them.

"If he did, I hope he left my

inhaler. Those things are like

eighty bucks." She heard Scott say before Stiles stopped him upon seeing Derek.

"What are you doing here?" He asked all of them. Stiles and Scott are both visibly stunned and anxious. "This is private property."

"Sorry, we didn't know." Stiles replied. Derek is looking directly at Scott and Ana immediately knows Derek's from the same pack Scott is.

"We were just looking for something. Forget it. Sorry to bother you." Scott says, sending everyone's uncomfortable. The group then turns to leave when Derek tosses Scott his inhaler. By the time Scott looks back up Derek is gone. Stiles of course freaks the hell out.

"Dude, that was Derek Hale. You

remember, right? He's only a few

years older than us." Stiles speaks fast, his mind already jumping to conclusions.

"Remember what?" Scott says obviously lost.

"His family. They all burned to

death in a fire like ten years ago.

I remember the cops pulling him out of class to tell him." Stiles responds, making Ana shudder. It was the Argent's, she knew that much for sure. A woman from that family tried to kill her father when she was young. She just walked to the Jeep, gulping the remains of the blood in the bottle. Her hands were visibly shaking but the boys barely noticed.

"I wonder what he's doing back." Scott replies, looking at his inhaler. Ana just waits until they get to her home and she waves goodbye to the boys before running inside and starts crying. very on edge. Her parents immediately know something is wrong and run to her.

"A, darling, what's wrong?" Her mom asks. Ana looks up to her parents shakily before answering.

"I- there are two problems. Well Scott is becoming a werewolf, but that's on the bottom of the list." She started to reply, her parents already became anxious at the new information.

"What else is wrong dear?" Her father asks, his hand caressing her cheek and wiping away the tears.

"The Argents are back." She nearly whispers but dread fills both her parents' bodies. It was going to be a long night.
