13 Chapter 13: Battle (Part IV)

The battle has now begun as soon as Daemon and Barry has now met their respective opponents.

As Barry has reached the area within the forest that he feels to have sensed presence of overflowing aura around the area, a dagger flew by in a straight line from point blank range out of the blue from somewhere deep inside the forest.

When Barry sensed that something is coming his way at the speed of light, he tried to search around his surroundings to find the object. As he is looking around at his surroundings, he finally discovered what is it he is looking for. A shiny yet sharp double-edged dagger that is made of stainless steel was closing in on his chest.

Luckily, the dagger missed its target and landed on a tree right behind him.

When Barry turned his head to see where the dagger landed on, it shook him to the core because of being stabbed by it and collapsed on the ground for a while to catch his breath.

After he finished catching his breath, he stood back up and prepared himself for another surprise attack.

While he is almost done with preparing himself for another surprise attack, his senses told him that something is approaching his way again. Except this time, it is falling from the sky.

When he looked up at the sky, he noticed two lights falling from the sky, which is black and white.

At first, he thought "Maybe I am just hallucinating about things right now. This isn't good. I need to focus on preparing myself for the next surprise attack."

But when both of the lights got closer to him and grew bigger and bigger, he then knew what's going to happen and said to himself, "Wait... oh no, this is bad! I need to run away from here as fast as I can." Before he had any time to leave the area, the two lights had finally exploded.

When he is close to losing consciousness, he felt a bright light around him and string-like darkness coming out from the ground before he became unconscious.

Few minutes later, he finally regained his consciousness and tried to get up once again. Howbeit, it is to no avail. He couldn't get up, no matter how hard he tried.

Like a bolt out of the blue, a thought darted through his mind, which made him remember what had happened before he fell unconscious.

After recollecting all the lost memories of what had happened just now, he has finally understood what had happened and concluded that when the white light exploded, it had made him fall to the ground and the black light also exploded, which turns into a net coming out from the ground and then captures him which sums it up into how it is now.

While Barry is stuck in the enemy's trap, Daemon has finally met one of his opponents.

A young man with blond hair that was neatly combed all the way to the back, and he has blue eyes. He has fair skin and has a chiseled face. The man has a full-figured body that can be clearly seen because of his muscles on his body are still visible even though he was wearing a brown checkered button-down shirt and dark blue jeans. The man has a classy and relaxed personality. And that man is none other than Daemon's opponent, the mage swordsman.

When the man had noticed Daemon, the man plastered a faint smile on his face and he sauntered towards Daemon.

As the man was now in front of Daemon, he bowed gently and introduced himself as a member of the bandits. After that, he gave Daemon his name, which is Damon.

After having done introducing each other to one another, they got ready with their battle stance.

The battle began with Daemon launching his attack towards the mage swordsman who was just standing there without moving a muscle by throwing his fist at him.

Unfortunately, Daemon could not put a single scratch on him because he grabbed his fist in time and pushed Daemon aside.

He then drew out his sword, signalling that he is now serious about the fight.

As soon as Daemon saw that, he too drew out his sword from the fire that was in his right hand as a sign that he too was about to be serious about the fight and also as a sign of respect towards the other.

When both of them have now drawn each other's sword, Daemon then swung his sword at Damon.

At first, he thought Damon was just standing idly in front of him. But eventually, it was the exact opposite. It was he himself was the one who got slashed by his enemy.

This has made him feel weird about the current situation because he thought he was the one who launched the attack on him.

While Daemon was deep in thought about what was actually going on and was still going in a heated battle, Barry still insisted on trying to break free from the trap by force.

Luckily, a plan came to his mind and executed the plan with no hesitation. The plan that he had come up with was to merge his psychic powers with his black magic to create something stronger than mere magic.

To his surprise, the plan had actually worked perfectly according to what he had planned. He had successfully merged his own powers and his gained powers in this unknown world to create a sword that can cut through magic and stuff, which he names it as Psychamagia sword.

He quickly takes the chance to free himself from the trap by stabbing the sword into the ground to create a shock wave from within.

The reason he could move a bit is because he found out that the trap would eventually loosen itself overtime but could still restrict his movements.

As soon as he stabbed the ground with his newly created sword, a large shock wave rocked the surrounding area that makes the trap to loosen further and also caused some pine trees to fall and made multiple cracks on the surface until to the other side of the forest.

When he had finally broken free from the trap that was created by his opponents, he continued his search for his supposed opponents within the forest until he finally came face to face with his first opponent, which is the professional shadow mage assassin.
