1 THE LIFE SHE NEVER CHOSE

December of 1991, A tiny baby girl was born, A very pretty little baby that could have been prettier if it was nourished properly in the womb. The mother smiled after seeing her child. She is happy that it was born normal but a sudden stress showed on her face as she thought of how and where to get money for the hospital expenses..

It was her 9th child.Yes, 9th. family planning is something that is not highly important to a kind of family they have.

There is nothing she can do for now, she just hope that her husband will be able to do something about it. She closed her exhausted eyes and fell asleep....

Years had passed.. It's Bardot's 7th birthday. She is glad that she has a birthday party. She has a big cake, balloons, lots of food especially her favorite Meatballs spaghetti.And there are some unfamilliar kids around her who thoughtfully brought their gifts. And beside her stood her adoptive parents Juliet and Gil and their biological daughter Laureli that is about 19-years old. She(biological daughter)has two siblings, Lenux a 17-year old college student and Lemuel a 26-years old professional. The two was not there at that time for some reason. but Bardot is still glad.In her innocent mind, She is greatful because this is her dream birthday. The first time she ever had a birthday party. But she's not totally happy, She misses her family. her siblings, her younger sister, her 4 older brothers and 4 older sisters and her mom. Her mom gave birth to 10 children, she is the 9th.So she thought that her party could have been happier if any of them were present. but no one came. She knew, it was because they cannot afford the expenses for the transportation, but on her innocent mind she already understand, she still has a lot of birthdays to come anyway.

Bardot was adopted just a year ago by the Garcia family, it was when her father died. She doesn't have any communications from her family since then.. She doesn't know if she's the only one who ended up being adopted or not. But in her immature mind, she is still thankful that she now have the chance to have a better life. she is only sad sometimes because she cannot share the expensive toys to her sisters, and everytime the meal is served, weather its breakfast, lunch, snacks, or dinner, she is guilty that her siblings might have nothing to eat. but she cannot do anything about it for now.
