Long flight

Well, flying in hyper space uses fuel that is limited, so for very long flights like that it would be better to use warp space, but as It would be kind of a waste just to rush straight to the destination, we decided to visit some random planets on the way.

As I found out while waiting for the Ardis to be finished, there were at least three million planets with sentient life.

Movies really downplayed the reality. Especially space fleets and lifes of people.

There were so much planets, especially allied under one flag, that in no way the ammount of space ships shown in the films are real.

Well, as the path was planned out, we will stop around three times before we reach Rattatak. After every three or so weeks we will exit warp space and land on to the planet.

If I could get space maps from the holo net, it would be awesome, but I could not find a way to buy them. At least for now, we will try to buy them at every planet we stop at.

In first three weeks I looked through entire ship and let me say, I was surprised when I saw Archon in sleep in some kind of glass room.

When I asked, it seems Archons have very limited time of living as they burn themselves out with time, but by supplying them with psionic energy they could provide Archons with a lot more time to live and a lot more strength.

As Archons are not really researched fully, and the current room was purchased from the shop, research on them was renewed.

Especially with available example of some advanced technology like that.

Protoss might be very good at psionic and time tech, but there are so much unknown, that even some cheap technology from System were pretty new for them. Especially on the things they did not spend much time.

And this brought almost all the scientists and smiths to the Nexus. As it could provide them with knowledge.

Well, back to the Archon.

He really was very shiny ball of energy with what looks like protoss inside it. Archon is being kept unconscious as he is mainly fueled by rage, and it is hard for him to live normal life as he have an energy field around him at all times.

What current can do sounds ridiculous to the protoss, but extremely convenient for all of us.

At some point it will feed enough energy to the Archon, that he will begin to change his emanating energy. It will begin changing to liquid- like and then to solid.

When it reaches solid state, All the energy will be kept inside this solid form and Archon will be finally be able to interact with things normally, as his energy will not be messing with his mind anymore. It will become stable.

And it will lead to one of the two results - Archon either will have absolutely new personality, the one he got after creation, or he will mix with its two creators and become somewhat of a mix.

That knowledge made protoss happy, as Archons are thought to be veterans and legends for most of the population.

As I heard all of this, I could not imagine his fight. He was looking extremely intimidating, and from what I heard he can melt metals with just a single attack.

As for his looks, he was just a protoss surrounded by extremely shiny psionic lightning. He looked cool. And his eyes are burning with light, like burning, not emitting it.

Well, in these weeks I was mostly reading and playing games, as It is usual routine and the most obvious choice.

I, of course, was interacting with crew a little, but it was mostly while watching them spar or train. They were soldiers, so only Aden and sometimes his brother spent time with me.

And we even played a little bit of games with them. They owned me in fighting games, but it was fun.

As it was almost time for the first stop, crew began preparing and wore battle costumes that I got for them. Although they were wearing their weapons above the costumes, the weapons themselves were redesigned to fit with their outer look.

And what was the main theme - their weapons were still colored whitish-transparent.

Their blades looked cool, but to protect themselves from possible trouble, they also had classic blasters showing on the outside. And obviously blasters were modified, a little bit. They were remade to better fit in the hand and have a higher rate of fire.

Also, they were remade because all the weapons made in this world always miss...

As we landed on the planet, we spread out. Immortals were actively guarding the ship and everyone else has gone to do their business.

Some people went for a map, some went to create an outpost, and the rest went with me.

First thing we decided to buy some robots and check how they are created and what they can do.

After getting a couple of different bots, we went to look for information about the stuff that is happening around the world.

As this place was far from the main characters of this universe, most news were about little battles, some pirates, and all the little things that are always happening around here.

No major stuff happened, so nothing worth mentioning.

As holo net was not really accessible in the warp space, I downloaded more books and got more games and programs for myself.

As we spent a whole day on this planet, some protoss were allowed to go to the beach and relax, when I arrived back on the ship.

I couldn't enjoy the beach, as I had no bodily feelings. And on earth I always enjoyed it.

As all the stops were almost the same, I see no reason to repeat myself.

Nothing major happened.

After we visited the planets, we always bought more detailed maps and We really had no reason to land on to the Rattatak.

So we just skipped it and went for the other path to the Desert planet.

After three months, we were pretty close to our target, and when we left the warp, we appeared right outside the battlefield.

Two little groups of spaceships were fighting each other.

When we appeared, we were right in-between them.

As we appeared uninvited, they did not stop shooting, so we received full barrage from both sides.

And this was their mistake.

One group, that was in our front had five medium sized ships and around eleven small ones.

From the outside they looked already damaged and one of them even exploded when we just appeared. Their main colors were black with red stripes. And by their aggressive weaponry all around the ships, my first thought was that they were the Dark blood pirates. Their description we received on the last planet. They even had red skull on some parts. Why? idk.

This group was very big and what we currently saw must be one of their small teams.

On the other side, there were three medium ships colored white with some kind of coin logo on their sides, and six small ships with the same colour scheme.

As I could see, they were in trouble. They already had some debris around them.

As I watched pilots contacting them both and fleeing to the side, I heard they connected to both sides.

They both asked about us, but pirates also tried to intimidate us and ordered us to surrender.

Well, that was strangely obvious reaction. Were these ridiculous novels right above stupidity of people?

As we declined pirate's order, we received full attention. As the traders already had their weapons destroyed.

We did not even feel their attack at all.

And our shield was regenerating faster then they could damage it.

They are fcked. Really.

As we turned to their general direction, all the cannons were activated and began doing their job.

As side cannons were trying to shoot down the small ships, that were evading some of the shots with insane moves, main weapon was shredding their main ships.

And i mean it. Shredding.

Every single shot created small explosion of sparks and metal in their hull. They had no chance to flee. They were penetrated in seconds. All the sparks on collision looked like fireworks. Beautiful shiny fireworks.

Awesome.

As traders saw this, they immediately fled, as we did not try to stop them.

Obviously we collected the stuff left by the pirates and decided to sell it on the planet.

Everything can be sold, as materials are always needed.

When we landed and as always spread out, We went to the city. And when I heard the name of the planet, I remembered it.

Well, this was a boring chapter. I know.

But in this time I was mainly reading about protoss and their technology.

And now I can imagine their fleet better. And what they could possibly do.

And I was surprised that their technology had its periods of downgrading.

And Protoss's lifespan is around thousand years. Noice.

Also. Arkship is FCKING HUGE. 75 km in length. Wow.
