1 An Orphan with parent.

Joy was a girl who were looking for,her mom gave birth to three boys before giving birth to her and her only sister Lizzy, she was the number four and the first daughter, her parents mother was very happy the day she gave birth to her and she gave her a name the Joy of my heart.

the mom was a teacher in primary school, and her Dad was an engineer so they were living well, when Joy was 10 year she was sent to a local boarding school in a nearby village to go and school, the bought her everything that she needed, her mom took her to the school and told her that this is her new home, Joy cried and pleaded with her mom not to leave her there but they mom told her that this is her new home so she should be used to it and she left Joy was busying crying because she never believe that she would leave her parents at that tender age so it was a sad experience for her,

the owner of the school was a retired Army personal so he was training his students like an army school children with hard discipline and hard work,

every Saturday the students will trek a thousand miles to clear his farm for planting, some time for wedding and harvesting, Joy was going through a lot of suffering in the school with other children,

then the poor girl will be looking for cocoyam in the bush to boil and eat with red oil some time she will chew it like that her parents use to send her plenty money to the teacher, but he would use to take care of his family while Joy was there dying of hunger when she complained the will start telling her to keep quiet,

when she enter Js3 she wrote her examination and went back home to her parents she vow never to step her foot there again.

when school resume the ask her when she was going back to school, she told them that she would never go back to that school again, her dad was very angry he promised to disown her if she refused to go back to school.

she said no problem but she is not going back to that school again!

her mom was telling her to go before her dad will kill her she now ask her mom if she knows what she was going through in that school the hunger the suffering the hard labour and everything,

Joy stood her ground until her parents now took her to her Aunt place, her Aunt has only one child which was a boy by name prince, the aunt was very happy for her to come and stay with her, she took her in and her mom told her that the would be sending Joy everything she needs, her school fees feeding money and everything the aunt accepted.

she enroll her in the school and she started going to school, she was happy because she was leaving with her Aunt so life will be better for her,

she was born and brought up in deeper life so she didn't joke with church activities,

the Aunt was and accountans in Akamkpa local government, so money was never her problem,

The Aunt pampered her only child so much, the Aunt was a very nice person,

she has a farm that she planted yams and cassava so when ever Joy comes back from school she will eat and go to farm to go and Weds the grasses,

while her son own is to be playing ball, she was 13 years by then,

so she has been use to life from her past experiences.

Joy will make sure that she finished her portion of farm if not the Aunt will deal with her,

she would wash and iron all her Aunt clothes with the husband own by then she was seeing it as punishment but not knowing that the was doing her a favor,

her Aunt have never bought her clothes, rather she will give Joy her old clothes to wear, but she buys everything new for her son to wear, Joy was just like her mate even when her parents were sending money to her Aunt,

she told Joy that before she will buy her clothes she must stop going to deeper life bible church but Joy refuse,

so when Joy enter SS2 there's was this Aunt in her church that bought her clothes, so when the Aunt brought the clothes to her in the Aunt house she was very happy that she will have something to change,

so she thank the Aunt that bought her those clothes with Joy and happiness in her face, the Aunt left,

Joy Aunt was very angry with her and she gave her the flogging of her life, that she is telling people that she can buy her clothes,

but we'll the little girl have been used to I'll treatment

so there is nothing she can do.

when ever her mom comes around her Aunt will start telling her mom bad bad things about her and her mom will start flogging her without hearing her own side of the story,

but we'll that is life for orphan children, when you don't have any one to stand for you,

the was a day Joy was very sick she came back from school and she was feeling cold she cove rapper and laid down on the couch, when the Aunt came back she asked her if she have finished frying the garri she said no that she was not feeling well, the Aunt Carry broom and gave her the flogging of her life it was the husband that intervene for her,

she now ask her of her son and she said they son his still in the school playing ball,

she now said oh because my son is playing ball that is why you refuse to fry the garri she said no that she was not feeling well the Aunt refuse to acknowledge that. she said Joy must fry that garri that was how she when and filter the garri and fry.

her parents were never concerned about her happiness rather the were after education,

The Aunt was still looking for a child so one day she collected her salary travel the next day with her friends to a native healer place, where the gave her some herbs to take that would make her to get pregnant,

so she came back in the night on Saturday.

so on Sunday morning she took the first one that the told her to take that was how she started purging until she became weak, the husband said he should take her to the hospital but she said no, that the woman that gave her that thing said that is how it use to do someone that later it will stop.

so they husband accepted, before you knew it her Aunt gave up the ghost.

Joy was confused in life were is she going to from here why would her Aunt die, she was crying and crying

but will crying bring her back no, after the Aunt burial

she went and beg one of their church member that please she should aloud her to stay with her and finish her secondary school and the woman accepted, that was how Joy finished her secondary school and the woman was very nice to her.

she was just like a mother to her.

so she now said there are some children who has parents but live like orphan.
