New Clothes

3rd POV

As Caruso lifted the completed set Aila could not help but exclaim. "Oh wow that's so cute!"

Caruso jolted in surprise. " My lady I did not know you were still here. "

Aila looks over at Caruso " I didn't know if I was supposed to leave so I just stayed here."

As Caruso looks in Aila's sparkling eyes he feels hew has no right to say anything about it. Just as his guilt is eating him alive Aila points out the clothes he just made.

"Caruso you work so fast, such cute clothes are already done." Aila picks up the clothes.

There is a deep blue shirt that has space for her chest and a low V neck. The bodice scoops and pulls in two teardrop shapes and comes up to a silver metal that clasps it to leather shoulder pads with cotton padding in the cup and below the shoulder pads. The back then has Six straps the attached to the right and three to the left. Each side has one going straight down one to the opposite side and the last strap securing just below the arm. The mid section was a leather belt like strap that matched the shoulder piece and laced together ending in a bowtie at the bottom. The mid section wrapped all the way around and was wat the straps were attached to in the back. The same blue was used as a loose sleeve cuffing at the wrist in leather. The bottom was made of the scraps of the blue fabric coming down in sharp points in some areas but overall seeming like a skirt.

The bottoms were a rich brown almost denim like material. They had four buttons on either side eerily similar to modern buttons and had 6 pockets. Two in the front two in the back and the last two being part of a leather belt that strapped around the shorts high waist and the attached to a rectangular leather box going down the sides and finally attached around the thigh a ways above the knee, but below the end of the shorts.

There was a pair of sandals of made leather soles and the brown used in the the shorts used in the straps that came around the big toe and crossed diagonally to the mid foot and came back across right before the ankle. The back of the sandal had a half oval that wrapped the heel and was topped with a strap for around the ankle. It had a lot of blue straps that came across each other in a grid going up to another leather strap for just below the knee.

The last item was a cloak that came to the ankles It had silver clasps that hooked into each other in the front. On one side it was the brown of the bottoms and on the other it was the deep blue.

Caruso sat there as Aila looked at all the details he had added. It had taken him the better part of the evening yet he still was not done. It was a sort of rough draft as he wanted to get the shape and style on Alia to see that she liked it and see how it fit. The stitching needs to be done again to be sure of the stability and he has yet to put any embroidery on it like how he had planned. and the leather needs to be stained. He planned to stain them black so as not to clash with the bottoms and all be a matching color.

Aila was in awe. "You got so much done so quickly!" She had sat there as she had nothing else to do, and he was handsome so she was distracted during the process. So much had come together before she had truly realized it. It was hard for her to believe it had all been done in less than a day and to her they looked done.

Caruso felt overly flattered " Please my lady it is only in a rough phase. I do need you to try it on to see that it fits." He knew just how much was yet to be done the cloak had no hood yet. he needed to trim the edge of the shirt so it wasn't all mismatched, the bottoms had no bottom edge and all the leather needed treatments to be sure they last and don't immediately wear out.

Aila came out from behind a screen wearing the outfit and was immediately sent back. Caruso " I need you to flip the top and bottoms inside out and put them on that way"

Aila was confused but did so and came back " I liked it better the other way"

Caruso immediately laughed " I would hope so that's how your supposed to wear it, but right now I need to make adjustments and I need to see the side I will make the adjustments to in order to better pin them in place."

Aila just squeaked out an "Oh" Caruso began having Aila move around in the clothes to see how they fit then pining and doing so again till he was satisfied. He then marked tightness for every belt buckle and asked about the comfort in ways that made Aila question if this was the same man she was just teasing.

He had Aila take off the sandals and took them and added holes to the straps that needed to be buckled. " How much grip do you need this to have?" He looked at the bottom of the shoe then looked at Aila.

Aila couldn't help but think of all the slips she had before it was determined that Logan should carry her. "I am used to lots of grip, more than just a leather would be great I slip easily as it is. Some shoes that are more suited for trekking through the trees would be nice." She could see the running shoes from the past but thought that hiking shoes might be better and more likely as they were made of mostly leather. I'd be really cool if they turned out like to be high up her leg since the shorts already gave off raider vibes just more length.

Caruso just nodded his head. "I can make other clothes with the payment that was brought is there anything you want?"

Aila began to think and talk at the same time "Perhaps, hmmm maybe a dress or skirt but I want some way for them to have pockets without it pulling on the fabric of the skirt. I also like what your already making me. " She pictured picking up apples and other fruit in a skirt maybe something like a old time peasant though they might have just used an apron on the outside of the skirt and she is used to the pockets being inside the dress or pants than outside.

"I think what I really want is ways to put my hair up. The best would be a scrunchie but a scrunchie needs an elastic band of some kind inside it. Claw clips would work but they need a spring to push them together. So maybe just some ribbons." As much as she missed a full up-do hairstyle she had clue how to do so without those two things. She knew that a rubber band was needed to tie hair how she usually did and couldn't imagine them making a spring small enough to make a claw clip.

"Oh If you could make me some thing to swim in that would be great and some towels to dry off with too." Swimming was the only hobby she had lately but she did prefer some fabrics that dry quickly and wanted to not have to lay and dry off with the air and time

At this point Aila was just daydreaming about how she'd make her new home more cozy "I'd love to have pillows though the bed I sleep in isn't a real bed or even a couch I'd be nice to have a blanket and maybe a soft mat or a carpet." Aila looked over and saw that Caruso was just watching her babble she became embarrassed.

Seeing the look Caruso was giving her as she looked back at him, she blushed "Of course you don't have to get all these things After all I don't know how much these are worth. I'll leave it to you to determine what you'll make as long as you can avoid yellow and orange since those just don't look good against my skin."

Caruso found her amusing and very nice. The things she liked were all so new to him and she so easily got lost in her own thoughts. "I'll try my best to do what I can though I make no guarantees it will be exactly what you had wanted" What Aila had pictured in her mind wasn't a very clear image so though he had seen what she wanted she moved a tad fast and didn't truly decide on any one thing in much detail.
