1 AN OPEN BOOK

Part 1:

History of US

The library was quiet. Well of course it's quiet, Zee thought, it's a freaking library and rolled his eyes. He was sitting at a table near the history section. It's not like he was studying or anything. It just so happened to allow for a perfect view of the Help Desk located in the middle of the Libraries open area.

He gazed over for about the hundredth time at the man he loves. Idiot, He must be as dumb as a box of rock. Not him, of course, but Saint. He sighed heavily. Zee has done everything in his power to let Saint know how he feels and has felt for a minimum of two freaking years and the lunatic still doesn't get it. OMG, I love that man. He sighed again and put his face in his hands.

The Incident

Zee met Saint at the University. Zee was in his last year and Saint was starting his second. He was more on the athletic side of things where Saint fell into the academic. Their paths never crossed until Zee literally slammed into him one day outside of the library. The poor guy must have hit the wall hard as he was passed out by the time Zee got to him to try to help.

Zee was shaking his shoulders. "are you ok? Hey man, come on wake up." He was about to go into the library to get assistance when he opened his eyes and stared at Zee. That was literally all it took. Zee was staring at the most beautiful guy he had ever seen. His heart raced and he couldn't blink his eyes. Sweat started on the back of his neck and he stopped breathing. What the hell is wrong with me. The guy looked at Zee, rubbed the back of his head and asked, "What happened?" Zee couldn't answer. For love of God, even his voice was perfect.

Finally, Zee got his shit together and apologized for stampeding him to the ground. He helped him up and asked if he was ok. The guy looked at him for a minute and his face turned the cutest shade of pink. "Um I am….am ok, I think." He stuttered while brushing off his slacks and straightening his shirt. Zee reached up and grabbed his head and turned it from side to side. "I think you hit your head on the wall. Are you sure your good?" The guy gently removed Zee's hands from his head. "Yes, I am fine, thanks."

"By the way, I am Zee Panich." He smiled at the beautiful guy using his most charming grin. "I know who you are." He said and started to turn away. Zee frowned "Hey wait a second. What does that mean? That was not very nice." The guy turned back and stared at him. "I'm sorry if that was rude. It was not my intent. I must go. I am late for a class." He turned and left Zee standing there with his mouth gaping open. What the hell was that all about.

Zee watched him walk away and when he was out of sight, he cussed. "Damn it, I didn't get his name." He would find out later. He was late for practice. He was smiling as he ran all the way to the basketball court. He used to wonder why he never really dated. He never really gave it much thought. Oh, He went out with a lot of girls but no one special. He just figured he had never met the right girl. Smiling, he thought, I just hadn't met the right boy.

So started the courtship between Zee and Saint or should I say the stalking of Saint by Zee. Semantics really or so Zee would say.

The day after plowing into him, Zee went back to the library a little bit earlier than when the incident happened and saw him reading over near the Mathematics section. Zee went up to the help desk and started a casual conversation with the attendant. "Could you help me, Please?" he asked. "Sure, what can I do for you?" "Well I am looking for some material for a project. It's for my Math class. Could you recommend a few reference books that could help?" He smiled sweetly at the young woman. She frowned and said, "I think your best bet would be to ask Saint." "Who is Saint?" Zee smiled. She pointed "Oh, Saint Suppapong, he is sitting over there in the Math section. The guy with the red shirt. He is quite brilliant with numbers." He thanked her profusely and looked toward Saint and grinned. GOTTCHA.

Zee walked over to Saint and sat down in the chair right across from him. He stared for maybe a minute before Saint lifted his head and looked at him. Zee gave him a gentle smile and Saint frowned. "Is there something I can do for you?" Zee grinned "Actually, yes, you can be my boyfriend." Saint stared and then shook his head like Zee had totally lost his mind and got up, returned the book to the cart next to the table and walked away. AGAIN.

If at first you don't succeed, try try again.

A determined Zee headed for the cafeteria. He knew Saint always ate lunch there. He had tried to corner him for the last three days, but Saint had managed to elude him. He knew a little about Saint's schedule now and he always ate lunch between classes from 12:30 to 1:00 like clockwork.

When he entered the Cafeteria, he spotted Saint sitting over close to the water fountain with a few other people. He sauntered up to the table and stood behind Saint. Everyone stopped talking and looked at him. Saint turned around to see who was behind him and Zee smiled at him. He stared for a minute and sighed. He then scooted over on the bench to make room for Zee to sit down. Progress Zee grinned.

And so, it begins. The hunter and the hunted.
