9 Father broaches us to board to abroad

Two hours later, Anna woke up. Her hands were pinned with IV and she was startled for a moment, she skimmed the room quickly and found a familiar silhouette standing near the floor to ceiling window nearby her.

Once she saw Shane, she felt more relaxed. For a split second, She started thinking that his reappearance and their marriage was all but a dream. Only when she saw him again, she believed that everything was real.

Anna looked at him intensely for a long time, afraid that he will disappear any minute. Shane felt the boring eyes on his back, he turned back to find Anna staring at him intently.

"You are awake, you gave everyone a heart attack." Shane smiled ever so slightly.

"I am sorry" Anna replied. Shane's eyes shot up, 'this girl actually apologized for fainting. Never mind! She must be trained well as a puppet in Lu's Hands.'

Her pale face started to regain it's colors, her faded cheek started blushing once again.

Shane noticed her blushing shy smile, 'No shane! Don't give her any hope in this marriage, later it will hurt her when that hope is taken away.'

"We are boarding to New York today." Shane informed in a plain tone with no emotions in it. 

He returned to his shell once again. The Lone Wolverine which only accepts a solitary life, once again started drawing a thin line between the person next to him. Anna didn't notice any difference, she was used to this side of his personality.

Anna got confused by the sudden decision, "What? Why?! "

Shane thought, 'it's best not to scare her now' and he comprehended the words, "It's nothing big. My exams are approaching and your exams are already over. So we are heading back to New York to settle down as earlier as possible".

Anna was perplexed, "So that's it, then! I AM MARRIED JUST LIKE THAT!! NOW, I AM GOING TO SETTLE DOWN IN NEW YORK ON THE SAME DAY OF MY MARRIAGE…!!! Wow… Ahh… As expected as of Aunt Luyisa. Just in a day, she changed everything upside down. Hmm... Did father accept it?" She inquired with confusion.

Shane looked at her carefully and replied her without hitting the scaring button, "Your father broaches us to board to abroad. He even took initiative to make arrangements." He tried to make the sentence as simple as possible without leaving a hint for suspicion.

Anna was startled, "My father is making arrangements?!" She could not believe her own ears, she needs to confirm that she heard correctly.

Shane nodded without mouthing a word; He should end the conversation or else, it would end in a bad state. It would be bad if she stressed now with fear or anxiety.

Shane said cautiously, "You need to rest, don't work up with your brain, Just sleep! Okay!"

"Okay!" She slides down and tried to close her eyes; Only then, she realized that she is in the hospital wings. 'What the hell!! What am I doing in hospital bed!!'

She questioned Shane, "What happened to me? Why am I in here?" 

"You fainted and I panicked, a little! That's it, nothing serious! Now close your eyes and sleep. We have a long trip tonight. Don't exhaust yourself." With that Shane shut the conversation.

"Okay!" After so many restless nights, Anna slept peacefully with an overwhelming sense of security.

Once Shane heard her soft snore, he made a quick call, "Michael!"

The person at the other end of the phone replied sluggishly, "Oi! Oi! What's up, Man!"

"I need some inside information about Symonds Corporation." Shane Inquired.

"What's it?" Michael asked without much concerns.

"Is there a mole in Symonds Corporation?"

"Where on earth are you living, Man? A mole! Do you think it is just a mole? The whole corporation is tearing down. Not just one person is involoved, there are many including your Aunt Lulu."

Shane stood quiet, he did expect this.
