Jacob's earlier weariness were all gone and at present, it was replaced with delight. He called his secretary and ordered him, "Do pass those divorce papers along with the video evidence to the lawyer and tell him that everything should be settled fast, very fast."

The last words came out of his mouth with much intensity. He so much wanted to end this facade which was dragging for so long.

If Anna was ready to get over Shane, Jacob was ready to stand as a pillar to support her.

Jacob didn't care how long it would take for Anna to accept him, the only thing he ever wanted was to see Anna happy and live a comfortable life.

His secretary nodded to him in submission and thought to himself, 'Very fast?! Sure, I most definitely want to do that myself. Who on earth would want to live a life of hell for so long? You didn't let me or anyone sleep for two nights... two whole nights. If that girl didn't sign those papers today, I would have signed my resignation papers. Damn you!'

"Yes, Mr. CEO! Everything will be settled soon, and the process has already commenced, we only need those signed copies. Indeed, I will make sure Mr. Shane receive the divorce notice in the short term. Rest assured!

And... Mr. CEO! You have to take some rest, you have not slept for the past two days."

Jacob smiled at his secretory in gratitude, "You all had actually worked hard for me this time. I will give you all ten percent salary increase from this month on, Hope I am fair enough!"

An hour was already passed without notice when Jacob received a call from Anna's number especially to his personal phone.

'Anna is calling me... Not the CEO Jacob but the real me... the ordinary common man, Jacob.' Enthusiasm filled his body when he accepted the call.

But to Jacob's utter disappointment, the one who called was not Anna but Shane. When Shane reached home, he was well informed but he was too late to shoulder Anna's trouble.

Anna's mobile was long confiscated by Luyisa when Anna posted the live talk in social media. If Anna had not posted that live talk online, the situation would not be escalated to this point.

When Shane took back the phone from his mother, he sketched a plan to scratch out the whole event, and he went through the call history to find Jacob number.

Shane talked in a firm voice, "Hello! Is this Jacob, the man I met in the night club?"

"Yeah?! But why the hell you have Anna's phone? And what business do we have to talk?" Jacob was frustrated when he found that it was Shane who called.

"Anna was taken to Symonds residence and her personal phone is currently with me. Plus, I really have a business to talk to you. I am ready to offer you fifty thousand US dollars if you cooperate with me."

"You guys even confiscated Anna's phone? You truly are despicable! You want me to do business with you? Hahaha...

You know, When I saw in the news that Anna's father filed a complaint against you for physical assault against Anna, I was pleased... So so pleased that I want to throw a party.

And I hope that she will divorce you soon enough. If that happens, I most definitely will throw a party."

Shane who has no idea that he was speaking to the CEO of BMF corporation yelled at once, "Enough! I called you because I want to wipe the stain on Anna completely. Since you are the sole reason, you have to help me clear her name."

"Speak!" Jacob said solemnly.

As Jacob listened to him, Shane began to explain his plan, "I am about to release a statement that you were my friend, and we had a slight dispute.

To ease things between us, Anna went to the cafe to speak to you on behalf of me. So the entire cafe video should be like I sent Anna to talk to you. Do you get me?

And followed by that, I want you to post a video saying what I said was indeed true."

Jacob questioned, "Are you kidding me? Are you trying to protect your back using Anna as a shield?Anna's reputation was already cleared, and all your true face was teared down and shown to the public for humiliation. Friend?! Pftt... Why would I say such a lousy thing?"

"Damn! I am tired of explaining you. If you are talking about the recent post claiming that we deceived Anna to post a statement to help me. That was not the truth, we never deceived Anna. My mother, In particular told Anna not to meddle with my scandal. Out of love for me, Anna released that statement. God! Why am I explaining it to you."
