12 A mysterious young man

"Irik! She is my cousin! She is going to join in our college in a week. So just stop blabbering around."

He then eyed Anna with an awkward smile, "Anna! They are my classmates."

Anna smiled back at the four of them. She felt the awkwardness in the air. Elanda relaxed a bit but her jealousy lingered in her eyes.

"Hey Anna! I am the captain of this bunch, Orlando Watson" Orlando Extended his hands and winked at her. Anna blinked 'This guy winked at me! whatever!',

She replied politely, "Nice to meet you"

"Oh my!! You are so ladylike, exactly my time." Orlando started flirting the moment, he got a chance.

Anna perplexed by his approach, 'Girl, you need to watch out for him, he is a flirt, a complete flirt, no way! Run, run!!'

Kylie interjected him, "Hey! Stop messing with the new girl, she is Shane's cousin, keep a distance. Okay?!"

"Hi, Anna! You can call me, Kylie. If anyone messes with you, call this big sister, I'll break their legs." She grinned.

Irik: "The concert is starting. COME! LET'S MOVE!! I don't want to miss the Head start."

"Sweet girl, I can take you around. There is a wine tasting event, want to check out?" Orlando extended his hands. Shane gave him a dead stare meaning, 'Keep your hands with you for good, and don't force me to chop it.'

"Fine! Fine!! Keep your little cousin with you and take her all around with you! Who cares? There are plenty of pretty girls around, I am going to snatch one back home today. It's for sure."

The concert started with the cheers of the crowd.

Slowly the sun dipped beneath the horizon and all the colors left in the sky faded out. But the crowd cheers increased in volume louder and louder.

For Anna, this is her first time watching a live open concert. The crowd was overwhelming with ear- piercing sound like hell, She felt nausea. If she says it out loud now; it might affect others merry mood. So, she silently exited the crowd and moved to a less noisy place and sat on a bench.

Her head hurt so much; she bent down and held her head in her hands.

"Do you want some water?" a young man sitting on the other end of the bench asked Anna. He looked at the girl with concern and smiled at her ever so slightly.

Anna looked at the man who extended the mineral water to her. Her heart raced, raced so high that this feeling was thousand times stronger than when she first looked at Shane. Weird! Completely weird!!

"Thank you", She grabbed the bottle and gulped the water. "The crowd was overwhelming, I could not breathe. Ahh… Nausea hit me. Hmm… Why are you sitting here alone, don't you like rock music?"

She was unusually nervous and so she continued on and on. In fact, she didn't notice the man sitting on the bench earlier; she was so shocked by his voice and his handsome perfect face.

He was taken aback. So far, nobody dared to come near him. Whoever saw his silhouette retrieved their gazes at once. He just wore a casual T-shirt and jeans but his presence was so strong even with the casual dress.

The man thought, This girl had the courage to sit near me and also to chat with me without cringing even a tiny bit.

Once in his lifetime, he liked it, he liked it so much that he wanted to continue talking to her.

A broad smile lit up on his handsome face and he started teasing her, "Young girl, you should not drink water from some random guy in the street."

Anna was angst; she looked at the man without blinking. 'Wait! What does he mean by that? Oh no!!'

The young man chuckled, he had a lean figure and a broad shoulder, "What if I drugged you and drag you with me? What if I am the worst kind of psychopath? Aren't you afraid?"

Anna wanted so much to run away from him but she was stone-fixed. She could not move an inch; she looked into his eyes with bewilderment.

He looked back at her intently, capturing her reactions. She looked like a lost little bird in a deep forest with full of anxiety. She was so panicked, that she could feel the perspiration slide down her neck.

He retrieved his smug gaze and composed his posture and sat their elegantly like a king in the throne, "I am sorry, I have frightened you!"
