94 Chapter 94 : You are no better than me. (1)
Rachel had expected Aaron's mother to lash out at her and blame her for using her son for her benefits. She had prepared to face harsh words just like how she faced her father but, to her surprise, Gina didn't blame her but she was happy to see her.
His mother even praised him for marrying her!
Everything felt like a dream to her. If it was a dream, then she wanted to wake up soon!

Aaron took the private elevator. He stepped inside his office room and settled down in the chair. Just as he sat down, a knock disturbed him.
"This is for today's meeting."
Sarah, his secretary, handed him the files required for the meeting along with a cup of coffee. He nodded as he started to scan the files while sipping his warm coffee.
A business magazine came in front of him. He took it hesitantly but didn't open it. He waited for his secretary to explain.
But she didn't say anything instead, asked him to read.
Aaron carelessly turned the pages but suddenly halted. There was an article with his and Rachel's photo.
The article was about the issues covered during the interview. The photo was taken by the youngest reporter after the interview. Rachel looked simple and beautiful in her floral dress. His black suit made him look more handsome. They both looked good, complementing each other.
He slowly traced the photo as a small smile etched on his face. He wanted to praise the reporter for taking such a great picture. The article contained their marriage and the clarification about the rumor. The article was well written, showcasing Aaron's love for Rachel.
Aaron was satisfied!
He carefully folded the magazine and kept it in the drawer.
He took the files and left the room for the meeting. As soon as he entered the meeting room, his face was expressionless. The smile before was nowhere to be seen now. He looked like a completely new person.
The members in the meeting room fell silent as they saw their boss. The young man actually intimidated them!
Aaron waited for a few minutes but the members didn't speak. He frowned and looked at their faces. They looked troubled. He lost his patience and raised his voice!
"Are you all gonna sit and waste time like this?"
The members looked at each other, hesitating to speak. Aaron took a deep breath to control his anger.
"You all must have got an order to remove me from my position, right?"
His eyes scanned the board members like an eagle. The board members were baffled at the direct question. They looked awkwardly at each other. The board director, Mr. Henry Weiks, decided to speak for the team.
"Yes, indeed we got an order."
Aaron nodded his head in appreciation. At least, someone spoke!
"And?"
The board director hesitated a moment to speak. After all, Aaron was their CEO despite their age difference. Henry Weiks had been a director for the past 15 years and was well-known for his capability. He hated to admit that Aaron was doing much better than they had expected. He had brought two major contracts and three minor contracts for the company within a short period of time. The company shares had pretty much increased in a month. He thought that Aaron joined the company because of the greed for power as he became the CEO at his young age. He thought he wouldn't have knowledge about running a big company like Lee Industry. But surprisingly, the boy was doing better.
But now, they had got an order from Lee William, the major shareholder of the company to cast their votes against him to remove him from the CEO position.
They couldn't simply go against him even if they had a good opinion about Aaron.
"Mr. Lee Aaron, don't you have anything to say?"
Henry Weiks wanted to hear his justification. They eagerly waited for Aaron to beg them.
Aaron chuckled darkly, sending chills to their spine.
"Why should I waste my time when you have already made your decisions? I am not here to promote my work or to brag my achievements. I would never do that. Do as you please."
Everyone: "..."
He got up, took his blazer, nodded at them, and left the room without turning back. The members were left speechless!
Sarah was one of them. She had expected her boss to make an argument or criticize the members but he just left!
She felt proud of her boss! She mentally gave big thumbs up to him.
She held her head high and followed her boss.
Back in the meeting room, the discussion went on,
"What should we do now?"
"What else? We should follow the order. After all, we are nobody in front of Mr. Lee Williams."
Two days ago, there was a sudden downfall in the stocks because of the false rumors. They were shocked by the article about their boss being a third wheel in the relationship. But later on, the news said that their boss was already married to Rachel. That shocked them even more. But thankfully, the rumors didn't affect the company's reputation much. At least, that was a piece of good news!
