1 Chapter 1: Bloom

Where was my favorite star in the sky? I kept wishing and wishing on it, but tonight it's nowhere to be found. I kept looking for it for one final attempt, a final wish in this burden called existence. The stars shifted but the moon kept its lonely gaze at me. I was at the balcony with a noose hanging from the ceiling. I wanted to see the stars shining brightly before I devoid myself of my miserable life.

'Hen. What are doing to yourself?'

'Hen, you have a handful of attempts in careers you can think of and you still failed'

'Hen, all you can think about is your stars'

'Get a life!'

One struck of ideas that are caught up in my mind is an edge closer to death.

I thought I was ready to take my life. I thought I had given up on life. I thought I was too unqualified for this life. It felt like I was disqualified of being a human being. What are the qualities I need to be a capable human? Why can't I just be normal like everybody else?

I stepped on the stool. Goodbye earth is all I can say. Who am I to live for anyway? My parents died when I was three. My good friend passed away. My girlfriend left me for a rich guy! What am I to do with my life? I failed lots of times. I learned from these circumstances but I still failed.

'I fail all the time."

'At least you get to see the stars before you die.'

I was prepared. I stepped on a chair and held the noose. It was a surreal feeling. The texture of the knot is comforting.

I...This is it. I'm getting this done.

Light bursted. The horizon glistened with a comet, meteorite or something that was blasting straight from the sky.

'Even the skies are celebrating for my demise,' I muttered to myself.

The celestial body was heading straight to my apartment. It's flame was beautiful as if it was lady in bloom.

'Well. At least I'll end up with a boom.'

I was anticipating being charred, the smell of my flesh when burnt, the excruciating pain that the flame would cause, and that my debts would be paid by making it all as an excuse for a tragic accident.

I was anticipating my death when it stopped. It stopped. Everything stopped. Well. Except for me.

I was the only moving thing.

The celestial body started to glow. It glowed so bright that my eyes hurt. I closed my eyes and I stepped out from the chair and head out to cover myself. When I opened my eyes again, there I saw a woman standing stark naked in front of me.
