2 "The Straight-A Student in Class 7"

That's what they call me. Perhaps it's a crime to have perfect scores in school.

However, the punishment of not getting perfect scores is severe at home. Even though it never happened to me, I've witnessed the discipline many times.

My brother, Oppa Chul Kim, isn't so bright in studying matters, but a wonder in physical abilities. Even now, he serves as a police.

I never try to befriend a girl.

I can distinguish different types of girls easily.

Phone in hand? Shiny clothing? Walking like the Queen-of-the-World? Those drama queens who are, unfortunately, the popular girls of the school. Never try to make contact with them, and you'll regret it.

Glasses? Books loaded in arms? Always getting straight As on tests? They're hard to talk to.

Girls who gasp at the sight of those drama queens? You're looking at the people who are jealous of their role. They would give anything to become one of those "popular" ones.

But I fit none of these features.

Straight As.

School uniform.

Wavy, blond hair.

I'm just a normal girl.

I even look normal too.

In k-Dramas, the female leads usually have some kind of feature. Sometimes they're ugly under a mask of make-up. Or actually a celebrity but looks like a normal student.

I don't have a feature.

Nothing that will make me special.

You say I have straight-As?

It's mandatory.

Sure, it's hard to get perfect scores in our school, but it's nothing special.

You need to get perfect scores.

Does it look like I'm always lonely? That's not the case.

I have a friend, but he wasn't one that I friended at school. He was more like a childhood friend. His mother and my mother were best friends in highschool, and when we were born, we became friends in days.

At that time, every child was free.

No school.

No assignments.

No stress.

It was the golden age of your life.

Hoon Park was a friend. A family member. A person that you could rely on whatever happens.

It was at that point when I realized, I don't need a partner.

I don't need a soulmate.

I already have what I want.

Yuri Kim, age 15, has given up entirely on finding a romantic partner.
