4 Chapter 4 : The new beginning

Sia entered the office room and sat on one of the couches while waiting her father.

'The couch is soft '

She saw no dust on the office desk and even on the floor, she can see her face. The room is clean and luxurious. With the ancint antiques, one might seem to think ancient king office room.

''As expected of the Loreins family '', she mumbeld.

' Loreins family is the third influential family in 'Skyfloor' city. It is one of the three major cities in Senitaum country. It is a country located at the northeast of singapore and south of indonesia.In terms of geography, it is nearer to singapore. ( It is the author imgainary country ) Although both are coastal countries, Senitaum is larger and can grow crops that suffice the populations than singapore.And, most of the agricultural compaines are owned by Loreins family.And, also I think father also said that he was a real estate developer before starting large cooperations. '

After think for a while, Sia immediately shook her head.

' What am I thinking? It's not like it's related to me anyway. I don't even want to be one of their employees even if they gave me free job'

Meanwhile, at the dining room,

The middle-aged man and woman which had noble appearnces desipte being old didn't say anything even after servants have cleaned the table. The man is Jones Loreins, Sia's father and the woman is Noa Loreins, Sia's stepmother.

''Honey, I.... '', Jones Loreins broke the silence and said with a gentle tone and hesitated.

Noa Loreins only give an indifferent look and sighed.

'' Ha.. ''

'' It's okay. We have promised not to talk about this matter anymore. But, I said that hastily on impulse. It's my mistake this time. And as for that girl, Yes, I don't want to live in the same house as her. It's better if she died ''.

''Honey, that's... '' , when Jones tried to interrupt,

'' Stop, don't try to parsuade me anymore. She can stay here for a few days. After that, she can leave. And, I don't care if you still provide her school fees and living when she left. It's not like I'm not considerate to her either. It's your responsibility as her father. Whether you do or not is your choice. For me, I just don't want to see her in this house. That's all ''.

Noa Loreins left immediately after she said these words.

Jones Loreins was left with a gloomy expreeion.

At the office,

Sia waited in the office room about thirty minutes.

'' Click! Clac....! ''

Soon, the door opened and her father came into the office room. And, he sat on the couch across from her. But, he can't look into her eyes and ducked his head.

''....''

And, after a few minutes,

'' Sia, how is your body? ''

Jones asked the question hesitatingly.

' Why are you asking me that now? '

''It's okay ''

Sia replied calmly with no expression.

'' Ah..., so it's good ''

' What's good? ' Sia almost asked but suppressed her thoughts.

'' Sia, you can stay here for a week to recover. But, after that, I will find you an apartment near the school and you can live in that place and go to school ''

' As expected, he's here to tell me to leave this house. Well, it's not like I have any attachments to this mansion anyways '

'' But, if you don't like that, I will send you to abroad and get atte.... ''

'' No, it's okay '', Sia denied immediately.

' As expected, for your wife, you even tried to send me abroad. It's like I'm not his daughter.

Well, maybe '

Sia shook her thoughts and

'' I didn't want to have more debt on my father anymore. And, my body is fine now. So, I want to leave the house in three days ''

At my response, Jones anxiously...

'' Are you sure? Your body isn't ___ ''

'' It's fine now ''

I replied with no emotions.

'' Okay ''

After looking at my expression, Jones said with a sad expression. And , he took out one black card from one of his drawers and gave it to her.

'' Father, I.... ''

'' Take it. Even if you don't want to spend it, keep it as an emergency fund ''

' Well, since he insisit.. '

Sia took the black card from her father with two hands politely.

'' I will send the necessary things to your apartment later. You can leave the house in three days if you wish to. As for the school, don't worry. You can take a leave for this week. And, you can take your exams later. So, rest well ''

' Wait! Exams? Whattt??? '

' Ah! That's right. There is exam on 18, 19 and 20 of January. Since I'm gonna die anyways, I didn't study much two months ago. And, it have to be final exam, too. Now, I'm gonna have to study now '

Sia: [ T - T ]

' Bye, Bye. My dearest holidays. Being a student is so hard '

'' .... ''

Sia noticed the silence a while later and looked at her father. Her father only ducked his head and didn't say a word.

' Maybe, it's finished now '

'' Father, can I leave now? ''

Only after hearing her voice, Jone titled his head and said

'' Yes, you can leave now ''

' He seems to have snapped his thoughts now '

Sia cleared her thoughts and left the room quickly with only one thought.

' Study, study, study, study, ... '

When Sia held the doorknob and prepared to open to the door, her father words interrupt her thoughts.

'' Sia, I'm sorry. I know sorry can't change everything that I've done but.... ''

After hesitation,

'' I've neglected you. I know that I should've care you. But I didn't. I'm sorry ''

Jones said those words while clenching his hands tightly and ducking his head deeper.

' Though my hands stopped, I didn't feel anything from those words '

' Sympathy, pity, hope, resentment, anger. I didn't feel anything '

Sia didn't feel anything on those words.None of the feelings aren't directed to her. It's only her past. So, she only said those words.

'' Mr. Loreins, __ ''

Jones became tense at her words.

'' Please don't apologize to me. You can regret however you want, whenever you want. But , there is no longer Sia who will respond those words anymore ''

After she said those words, she left the room quickly. She didn't know what his expression would be when she said those words. And, she didn't want to know.

' Yes, that's right. There is no longer me who had feelings for this family anymore '

Inside the meeting room, only Jones left alone.

'' Ha... "

He sighed with his anger and his mind became complicated. And, his thoughts lingered to the past mistake events which he couldn't mend now.

' Salla Amel, she was Sia's mother. And my childhood friend. She is a kind woman. Although her life has been destroyed by me, she didn't give up the thought on abortion even though I asked her too. Her appearance flashed into her eyes.

'' My life has been destroyed by you, that's right. I dislike you. I resent you. I may even want to kill you.. ''

A woman with green eyes and dark hair in her mid 20 said those words with tears in her eyes.

'' But what can I get by blaming you. Money?

Sure, though I may not get another man, I can live comfortably and lavishly. But, I don't want it. I don't want to abort this child either.

If you are scared about inheritance, don't worry. I will sign the contract that she will not get any of your inheritance either. I will grow this child by myself.I will also give her my inheritance. So, please don't see me from now on ''

And another scene where she is on her death bed through car accident reflashed in his eyes.

'' Please our house situation isn't good. So, please take Sia to your house.Although she is young, she is intelligent. So,..huh..huh.., please.. ''

A woman who is on her death bed, instead of worrying about herself, said to the man beside the bed while panting her breathing hard holding his sleeve.

'' Please take good , huh.. ,huh.. care my Sia ''

After saying those words, she passed away.

Such memory came into Jones' eyes and he immediately dropped tears. Her words still reached into his hears like it was yesterday.

'' Ha...., what should I do.. ''

Jones Loreins alone mourned in his empty room.

Sia came to her room after the discussion with Jones Loreins.

' My bag and books should be in this room since all my accessories were moved into this room '

Sia looked around her room and found her bag inside the wardrobe, on her clothes.

When she brought her bag onto her bed and studying, she suddenly remember something.

'Ah! That's right. That thing still must be in my original room '

She quickly got down from her bed and go downstairs.

When she reached downstairs, she quickly walked to the most corner room of the room at the west.Thankfully, she didn't bump into someone instead of maids. She passed kitchen, bathrooms for workers and reached at the end. She turned around and stood in front of the door.

Her original room door, which has been covered with dust is still the same. She opened the door which the lock is broken and went into the room. Her room was the same with only one bed and bathroom covered with dust. The room looks a little empty since all my accessories are moved to the second floor. She looked around the room for a brief and did what she had to do. She moved her bed a little to the wider space. Then, she could see the small hole covered with the newspapers and a little clothes. She removed them and took out the things.The things she took out are album, a brooch and a pencil. When she took out, a photo accidentally fell out fron the album. She quickly picked the photo and dusted off. When she looked at the photo, her hands stopped. She couldn't process her thoughts for a while.

After looking at the photo for a while, her expression became sad. And, she said

''Mom, don't worry. I won't give up my life as a coward from now on. I won't do anything foolish things like suicide anymore. I will live the life that you give me to the fullest of my abilites ''

After looking a brooch and a pencil and a photo forth and back, she smiled ,

'' Maybe Tomorrow will be the beginning of my life ''
