3 Chapter 3: Family's Dinner

Sia head back to her room slowly and lay down on her bed. In the mean time, she orgnazied her thoughts carefully.

' I'm sure that the guide said that I will only be unconscious when I enter the space and the other worlds. That means that I'm not dead.

So, why do they prepare___'

Her thoughts stopped.

' Don't tell me they are planning to bury me alive, do they? '

' Yes, they may be'

Sia Loreins gave up her thoughts and cut her hopes.

And, she slowly became aware of her surroundings. There were small wardrobe, casual girl clothes around her age and even bathroom. She didn't notice them when she woke up because her mind has been engulfed with other thoughts.Now, she immediately noticed that this place wasn't hospital.

' If the maid is also here, this cannot be hospital. So, this must be home. If this is home, where in the room is she? '

Rather than calling home, it was a large mansion. But most extravagant rooms like these are only in upstairs. She didn't have access to live in these rooms when she was alive. Only her two brothers, younger sister, father and her stepmother live in these rooms. She has to live in a storage room filled with dust and bugs when she was alive. She saw a crack on a mirror attached to the small cabinet while wandering her eyes.

' Ah..This must be that room '.

She immediately recalles in her memories. When she was working as a maid, she had to take care of rooms on upstairs. And she made a crack on a mirror only in one room. That room was situated at the end of all rooms and even neglected when she was alive.

' I'm not sure why they didn't use it though', she thought.

She heard some footsteps outside the room.

And then,

'' SLAM!''

The door opened so loudly that she almost cover her ears.

And there, her entire family stood with stupefied expression.

''.....''

Her second brother broke through the silence and asked

'' You, you aren't a ghost, are you?'' while pointing his trembling finger.

'' Yes, I'm not. Too bad that I didn't die ''

Sia Loreins said with cold expression.

''....''

Another silence fell into the room.

' Well, they probaly didn't think that I would say like that '

''Hey, what are you__'' when the first brother tried to say,

''Sia!'' Her father said her name with a loud voice. There's also angry expression on his face. But, that didn't make any changes on Sia expression and only change her cold gaze onto her father.

' Yes, he must be angry because I've never had such a thing. Maybe he want to punish me or order me to go to my original room. I didn't care about it anyways '

But, the next words that come from her father were unexpected.

''Why did you do that?''

'Huh! What is he saying?'

'' Why did you commit suicide when you have everything? Why? ''

Sia couldn't spoke right away because of his guilty expression.

'What? Why is he being dramatic? Did he eat wrong medicine today? Or is he putting on a show since the maids are also there?'

Sia's father brought her to this mansion at 10 years old. But he didn't give her single glance after he brought her and put all his responsibilities to his wife. Since her stepmother was also not happy with her, she only worked her as a maid and give her a storage room to stay. He knew that she was working as a maid, but he didn't interfere with his wife's decision. Even though they bumped into sometimes, he only gave her cold shoulder. That's why this situation made Sia disgusting.

''You haven't done anything useful to this family yet.'' her father raised his voice.

''Ha.'' Sia almost laughed.

''I will admit that I have debt to my father for my food, water and a place to live.Well, the 6 years for renting one room would be $60000. And, the 6 years for three meals would be $19200 at least. And, if we cut off my salary working as a maid for 6 years would be $42000. So, naturally I would have automatically paid half of my debt, right mother???''

Sia said with a gentle expression in her last words.

Then, father gaze turned into mother. Mother gave a hostile look to me.

''Yes, you are.

If you know why, why bother stay alive? I hate you. I hate you because you looked a lot like the woman who seduced my husband. Though I may have thought you will give up living in this mansion when you get a lot of pressure, you never give up. That's why I hate you. And I cannot live in the same house as you. Yes, like you said, you should die. If you got better and know your place , leave this house''

'Wow! The hatred must be so huge to think she would say that words after I wake up'

'Well, it's not surprising if I look at the coffin in front of my room'

'Everyone was suprised at stepmother's bold words.Everyone knows she remain calm whether the situation was emergency or normal. That's why the straightforward words came from her mouth hastily surprised everyone.Of course, I remain stay still since I didn't much suprises'

''If you understand now, don't put pressure yourself and leave the house ''

'Maybe she thought my attitude was a little rude since I don't show any fear and courtesy.'

Stepmother said those words and left the room quickly.And the two brothers and younger sister left behind their mother.

' Yes, I will. Surely. ' Sia answered in her thought.

''Wait, wife '', my father called and followed her when she left quickly.

Then, he also looked back and said

''Sia, you can use this room for now. And, attend the tonight's dinner. After that, we will continue our conversation'', and left.

'Excuse me! I have waken up this day. Why are you asking a patient to come down to the dinner when she woke up?'

Sia sighed inwardly.

''Ok.I will''

When Sia was alone in her room, her mind was deep in her thoughts.

' Well, who wants to see the mistress child of her husband when she was also taking care of her sons and daughter. If it was me, I would've also hated that child. Ha! , Thinking that they would accept me if I worked hard and put in efforts for 6 years , how naive', she thought to herself.

'There's no way I'm in a place to pity one.The one who is the most pitiful right now is none other than me', she shook her head and cleared her thoughts.

Then, she suddenly remembered her hunger, which is what she didn't even know when it disappered.

' Well, I'm gonna rest now. '

Sia Loreins dismissed her hunger and slept soundly in her bed.

Sia Loreins slept for a long time despite her hunger.

7 hours later...

''Wahhhh.. what time is it''

Sia looked at the clock after waking up from a long slumber streching her hands.

'6 p.m.'

'The dinner gonna start at 7 p.m. Well, I should prepare myself now.'

She had no problems since the clothes around her age were put in wardrobe.

'It's the first time that I get to wear these clothes.Will there be any problem?'

Sia thought unconsciously.

'Ha, it's not like I'm a cow who is hanging on a butcher.Well, whatever....'

Sia cleared her useless thoughts.

And, the bathroom is in her room. So, she can prepared quickly.

When she have prepared herself, she looked herself in the mirror.

'How beautiful'

Though she was wearing only casual clothes for dinner, her deep green eyes, slim face, black long hair and her thin slightly pink lips made her looks more than average lady.

'Well, time to go the dinner'

She open the door and head to the dining room.

Dining room is on the first floor.So, from the last room of the rooms, it takes a while to reach.

When she walked along the hallway, she heard some maids greeted her though she didn't pay any attention to them. She knew they were only give courtesy to her because her father cared about her a lot after this accident.

When she arrived at the door of the dining room, she knocked the door if her father has arrived.

''Come in ''

'As expected, he arrived earlier than normal time'

She entered the dining room and saw a beautiful family portrait in front of her.

With her father as the head, the two brothers on the right and her stepmother and younger sister on the left.

'This is truly a perfect painting without her, an extra'

''You're late''

Sia snapped back to reality when she heard her father's words

''I'm sorry, father'', she politely responded and sat beside her younger sister.

''Since everyone has arrived, let's start eating now.''

They all ate the dinner comfotably despite the commotion Sia caused at the morning.

Though it would be better if her two stepbrothers didn't looked her from time to time.

'How long do they plan on watching? Was it because of my clothes? Well, I didn't mind them since I didn't care anyways'

Sia didn't stared back and focus only on her dinner.When the father noticed that,

''Ahem..you guys.Eat your food.'' he warned.

Just like that, the dinner came to the end.

''Since the dinner was finished, you guys can go back and do your work now'', father said to her brothers and sister.

''Sia, Wait for me at my office. I will come after speaking with your mother a bit''

I felt an ache at the words 'your mother' a bit.

''Yes, father.''

However, Sia politely answered and head to the office which is on the upstairs.
