1 Chapter 1: Turning Point

On a beautiful night where snows are falling,when the clock struck at 12 a.m.,the beginning of the new year started.I can hear the people screaming

''Happy New Year'',

buzzing on my phone with loud sound that is under my hand. For me, I was just laying down and looking up the sky. The sky is sparkling with many stars even though my mind is hazy and blurry. They even look like diamonds scattering in the light-black canvas.

''So it really is now.The New Year''

Sia Loreins said with an expressionless face while holding her hand up in the void air like holding the sky.

She also saw some lights beaming from fireworks in the sky. 'So pretty', she thought.

She also sense that her head become cold from snow though warm blood were still flowing from her head slowly.

''Yes, that's right. This is the end. This may be the glamorous night where everyone start the beginning for everything. But for me, an extra, an outcast and loner, is the end for everything.''

Her hand slowly lost strength and lay on the white snow.

'Yes,this is the end'.

She heard some footsteps getting closer, though she didn't sure that they come for her.

'Well, that doesn't matter anymore', she thought while her eyelids slowly fell down.

Before she completely closed her eyes, she saw some game-like screen appearing in front of her.

'Am I hallucinating?', she thought.

'Ha! What kind of bullshit is that..', she mocked while she completely taken into a long slumber.

'Tick tock, Tick tock, Tick toc...'

Sia Loreins heard the clock ticking strangely.

'Why was I hearing the clock ticking, did heaven also have a clock?', she thought.

But her head is so hurt and her mind is in fuzzy state that she couldn't even think of anything.Eventually, her mind gave up and fell sleep.

When she slowly regained her consciousness, she tried to opened her heavily-tighted eyelids.When she saw some lights pierceing through her eyes, she mumbled, ''Is it heaven?''.

But when she slowly opened her eyes, she found an electric rod emitting light on an unfamiliar ceiling.

'Wait' 'An electric rod' 'And ceiling??'

'Don't tell me I'm at the hospital', she thought and abruptly prepared to wake up.But, she felt a slight pain at her back and also her legs feel a little numb. But, she can still move them comfortably. And, when she touched her head, she felt sone bandages around her head and also got a sharp pain.

''Ah..'' she mourned with a small voice while she holding her head.

She can see hospital suit on her body.And, she can also see that the hospital room was more luxurious.

''Ha..'', she laughed.

When she was alive, not to mention to live in this room, she couldn't properly got her three meals in a day.

''Well, do they feel guilty or do they finally give a sense of pity on this little girl'', she smirked.

'But, I doubt that even one of these would be true'

They will just think like that 'if she's still alive, she could've some usefulness to our family'.

''Yes, they will only think like that''

Sia Loreins said while nodding her head.But, aside from that, she checked the legs and they can move comfortably without much pain. She also checked other body parts but none of her body parts have serious injuries.

'Why didn't I get hurt ???'

'I am sure that I fell from a five storey building. Even if I didn't die, I doubt I won't get the serious wounds. Although, of course, the main purpose to go to that building is to die .And, also the time that the people noticed will be late because I died in a place where people are less-crowded much less to save me quickly'

The questions arose in Sia Loreins mind.

' I'm sure that it is five-storeyed' 'But, how???'

'How is my body is perfectly fine??'

Before she has finished her thought, a game-like screen appeared in front of her eyes.And, she remembered. 'Right! I saw similar screen like this before I died.I thought it was some hallucinations'.

''What kind of crazy...''.Before she finished her speech, the place she's lying became blank and fell into the dark hole.

''Ahh....'', she screamed.Then,

''Pff..'', she fell. It only took 5 seconds to reach this place. Although she knew that the height that she fell from is higher than five-storeyed building, she didn't feel any pain. Instead, she felt warm and cozy sensation on her back. It almost felt like falling onto a cozy luxurious bed made of feathers. But, she cannot see anything since it is pitch black. When she tilted her head to look around the surroundings,the lights started coming into her eyes. She covered her face with her hands and closed her eyes quickly.

''...'' Silence.

When she didn't feel or hear anything, she slowly opened her eyes.She saw game-like screen bigger than before and also a dog-like robot in front of her eyes.And the ground she is standing became smooth and sturdy glass. She can also see her reflection on the glass when she bent down.She can also see her surroundings because the lights have been lifted.But, she found nothing particular since they were so plain and only glass.

Then, the dog-like robot said,

''Hi, Host! My name is dog.I am the system guide.As a guide, I am here to assist help and answer the questions that the host is curious to a certain extent.''

Sia became bewildered with this situation. She pricked her finger with her nails and felt pain. 'So, this isn't a dream'. She looked around her surrondings briefly, closed her eyes, took a long breath and opened her eyes.There was still screen and robot.

'Yap, this isn't a dream'. She confirmed her doubts and slowly organized her thoughts.

'Wait' 'Dog???, Even with this system, isn't this a little lame to have a dog as a guide.And, even worse than that is naming the dog as 'dog'.Guess the system creator must be lunatic or didn't care about the preferences of the teenagers.I guess so.Well, it doesn't matter to me anyway. So,..'

Before she finished her thought, the dog said, ''Ahem, Host, please let me tell you one thing in advance that I can hear your thoughts in this dimension that the system created.And, also you can change and name me as you want as well as the space that the system created.This form is also created by the previous host.''

'Oh, is that so? So, the previous owner is so lame.Wait, that means I can swear without saying from my mouth right.In her thoughts (B*****d system ,s**t system ,b****d guide, s**t guide,blah, blah....)

''Host, you can switch to off mode if you don't want me to hear your thoughts'',the dog said.

''Why don't you just say so from the start'', she said in her thought.''Now switch it''.

'Actually, I don't even thought that the host would say nasty words delibrately in her mind with that indifferent look on her face.This host is a wild one' the guide smile playfully and thought.

After she said the guide to switch to off mode, she had many thoughts coming into her mind.

'What the hell! What is this system? Can't I just died and reincarnated into someone else or just born in a new life.Why do I have to live in this hell again.And , also the reason why I am angry at this system is why do it save my life when i gave up everything.'

Sia felt bitter in her mind.

'Why do I have to live in this life again.Should I be thankful or should I be praying to god?.I don't want to make memories in this world anymore.Just sad ones are enough.I don't want to attach to this world anymore'.

Thoughts are running wild in Sia Loreins head for a few minutes and eventuallly she cried.

But after crying for an hour, she slowly realized one thing and started thinking about the things from a positive view.

'Wait, Sia Loreins. Just think about it. Do you think what will gonna happen crying over the spilled milk. Did god will send help to you? No. Nothing's gonna happen. So, why not take this chance and change yourself. Just think it from a positive view now. You have suffered for 6 years. But you never think in a positive way. Just who do you live for in past 6 years? Let's take this as a chance. Just only think of yourself from now on.And also live while thinking only about you from now on.Yes, I will only live for myself', she thought to herself while clenching her fists.

'But, though this system is a life changing system, I know there will be missions and quests as well since I read about these novels and manhwas.I am gonna ask a little questions to make sure', Sia Loreins thought to herself.

She took a heavy breath to calm her mind down and face with the guide and game screen.

''You said that I can ask the questions that I am curious about, right??''

Sia Loreins said with her usual indifferent look but the eyes have a cold gaze. 'I have died, but fate gave me another chance, I will have fun and whatever I desire in this life. That will be my life' , she shaped her life in her mind resloutely.

''Yes, Host. I can answer any questions as long as it is in my limits.'', the dog-guide replied.

''Then, I want to ask you three questions''
