35 The calamity of Misty Pearl Pavilion Part 3

-The calamity of Misty Pearl Pavilion Part 3-

Yi De reached out his other hand, tried to strangle Jie to death. In his eye, a 9th stage body tempering realm cultivator was even worse than an ant, he could even kill with just a swipe if his hand. In fact, Yi De wasn't really intended to kill this scholar, he simply wanted to scare him enough and maybe export him off some money.

"Ah! This is annoying. It would be faster I directly retrieve it from your memory." Suddenly at the height of his excitement, Yi De heard such ominous line, before he felt a hand on his head as his world went dark soon after. He wasn't actually dead, but when Jie extracted information from his brain, Yi De lost consciousness as he couldn't endure someone invading his brain.

"Hmm! This one didn't know anything. But he did know someone who might know. Nice. To Disciplinary hall then." After discarding Yi De's body like a sack of potatoes, Jie teleported towards the direction where Discipline hall was, according to this Yi De's memories. His target was Zhen Cheng, the Discipline hall elder, and also the most powerful outer elder this guy knows.

An instant later, Jie arrived in front of a reinforced and nicely decorated hall. It was the main hall of Discipling Hall, where only disciples who are the part of Discipline Hall or those who had committed some crimes against sect were brought. Currently, it was mildly filled with disciples of both categories, making it somewhat populated.

His sudden arrival alerted everyone. Soon, a group of five black-robed men, with ages ranging from 29 to 47 surrounded him, holding wooden baton like weapons. The one wearing black headgear with a gold coin itched into it came forward and shouted: "Who are you?"

"Call Zhen Cheng here. I have something to ask him." Unconcerned and unbothered, Jie directly called the man by his name. This, instantly angered all the disciples surrounding and even everyone in the hall, except for those who are tied down and chained.

The man wearing headgear, suddenly started to emit golden aura as he tried to pressure Jie with his cultivation of Core Formation realm and shouted angrily "How dare a mere Body Tempering realm brat like you disrespect our Discipline Hall elder? Your punishment is death, nobody can save you today. Quickly tell me who are you before I send you to after-" before he could finish his sentence, he was suddenly sent flying and crashed heavily to the opposite wall. But his flight didn't stop there, he continued to fly, breaking the wall before finally stopping on the other side. His body had broken and bloodied everywhere, and life and death were unknown.

"Senior brother Huo!!" everyone shouted and a few ran towards the bloodied body to check his vitals. A female disciple with long hair tied in bun shouted in fear "Dead! He is dead! Senior Brother Huo is dead."

Her shout was like a pebble in a calm pond. It sent everyone into the clamor of noises. A few directly ran away, few created distance from Jie and stood there to watch some good show. A few even came forward with weapons with red eyes and their cultivation realm bursting, intending to fight Jie to death.

With another burst, those few also blown away much similar to Senior Brother Huo. Though their condition was not as bad as his. They all lived, although unconscious. Not paying any heed to them, Jie once again shouted: "Just bring me, Zhen Cheng, I have something to ask him."

"Ridiculous!!" suddenly a thunderous roar came out of nowhere and vibrated in everyone's ear. An elderly man with a long white beard and a black robe, much like everyone here arrived near the other end of the hallway. He had him both hands behind his back, and with a dignified look, he walked towards Jie.

"Elder Zhen! Please seek justice for us. Brother Huo has been killed by him." A disciple who had initially run away after Huo's death to call for this elder pleaded as he kneeled down behind him.

As if he didn't hear anything, the elder maintained his dignified look but didn't move his eyes away from Jie. He was, although pretending to be calm inside; he was indeed worried. Just now, he had seen everything happened and also first-hand saw how Huo died. From his point of view, suddenly a burst of Qi came from this unknown assailant's body and surrounded Huo, before sending him flying to his death. Using Qi outside of the body directly, that's a feat only those who have touched upon the boundary of Nascent Soul realm could do that.

For this boy to do it, it means he either had a treasure or was really a Peak Stage Core Formation Realm cultivator.

"I am Zhen Cheng. Ask me what you wanted to ask before I punish you for your transgressions against Misty Pearl Pavillion sect." the man didn't even change his facial features when he said those, like an immortal Daoist, he maintained his cordial posture.

"Ho! So, you are him. You look younger than I thought. Whatever just tell me where is the sect master's place. I wanted to have a talk with him." Jie quipped after marveling the internal psion distribution of this old man. Every bone-joint, every muscle fiber, even heart muscles were brimming with lively psions of 'life' property. He watched these psions in fascination as they formed an intricate net above all the internal organs, protecting them from external harms while continuously nourishing them to maintain their peak state all the times.

'Is this the result of cultivation? Such ingenious ways of using psions. Every day I learn different things in this world.' Jie gave a hats-off to this world in his heart. Back on earth, one in every 100 born with the potential to even remotely hold a bit of psion in their body and be an ESPer, but here, everyone had the inborn talent to be a cultivator, this world version of ESPer.

Jie instantly put what he saw into practice. The Psions which should only come from his brain flooded his whole body, and arranged themselves in a neat array, like how he had seen inside this Zhen Cheng's body. No change could be seen above the body, but from the inside, Jie felt becoming stronger and durable than a few seconds ago. Not only that, he suddenly felt a liberating sense washing throughout his body as if a huge chain that previously bound his body just released.

'What just happened? What is this liberating feeling? What did actually unlocked just now?' Unfortunately, as someone whose powers based on science, he had never believed in aesthetics. And also never read anything remotely about body and soul and mind related to religion and mythic stuff. As such, he had never known about shackles of mortality that bound everyone.

In hindsight, it might really be useless for Jie to know about such aesthetics stuff. Becoming an immortal, which was the ultimate goal of all cultivators, was just in his alley all along.

"Ridiculous! Can someone like you could be allowed to see an exalted person like the sect master? Not to mention, you have committed a crime against the sect by killing a disciple. Now before I kill you in one strike, how about you tell me the name of your sect and the reason you came here." The elder denied Jie instantly and even talked about punishing him. Jie, who knew he was being watched by his newly acquired subordinates, felt embarrassed at being treated like a kid.

Gritting his teeth, he narrowed his eyes and used telekinesis, one of the fundamental ability of all ESPers on the elder, intending to blast him away like everyone before him.

When he was just a young cultivator, Zhen Cheng mistakenly eaten a treasure called 'Seven Sight Grass' that gave him an advanced ocular power. His sight was improved, and he even developed a few eye based powers and abilities down the year. One of them was seeing the ever invisible Qi surrounding everything. Because he could see the Qi, his cultivation rose fast despite his mediocre talent. Within 50 years, he had successfully broken through to Nascent Soul realm without the aid of any medicinal pills or supplements.

His true cultivation was always remained hidden with only a selected few knowing about it. He was kept as an outer sect elder as a form of deception against threats to the sect.

Due to possessing this magical eyes, he accurately saw the flow of Qi coming out of Jie and heading towards him at a breakneck speed. But as a Nascent Soul realm cultivator, his reaction speed was also not slow. And because he was already prepared for this, he easily avoided being caught and thrown like others by Jie's telekinesis.

"What?" in his life of 16 years, it was the first time for Jie to see someone so much weaker than him to actually dodge his telekinesis. Not knowing that it was due to those special eyes of the old man, Jei mistakenly assumed that this man had higher sensitivity and reaction speed.

An excited gleam appeared on his eyes as his mouth stretched to a smirk, or a smile perhaps. Extending his both hands, he aimed at the old man, trying to find the limit of this old man's dodging ability. At the same time, he repeatedly shouted in joy for coming to this strange world.

At the same time, the elder named Zhen Cheng suddenly felt a chill running down his spine. Not knowing the source, he chugged it off to an occasional cold wind. At that time, he didn't know just how tragic his life was going to be in the next five minutes.

Knowing that the key won't go anywhere, Jie wanted to have some fun with this old man who could dodge his telekinesis.
