3 So much exp!

I got up and looked around, seeing nothing had changed I picked up the horn I collected from that rabbit and went over to the lake. After splashing my face with water and cleaning myself I set out to find some more prey, it seems I didn't have to look far.

I looked to my right and saw a small armadillo looking creature with scales along its back, short stubby legs and a bewildered look on its face as to stared at me, probably sh*ting itself. The creature tried to turn around and run but it's short legs couldn't escape quick enough and I caught it, I turned it over so it couldn't move and said " sorry little man but I need to do this" as I stabbed it's unprotected underside with the horn I had.

I decided to take it back to my camp and cook it for lunch as I gas getting hungry, after I reached the camp I set the armadillo down and thought

'Man these scales are tough, maybe I could use them' then it struck me, Shields!, I could use these scales for a shield, I just needed something to attach it to. After looking for about half an hour and coming up empty handed I thought 'well plate armour is cool too I guess'

I skinned the creature to get the scales and instead of coming off one by one they all came off with the skin which was unexpected, I thought they were seperate but it seems their attached to the skin, anyway I decided to use the grass around me to attach the scales to me, of corse drying the skin out by the fire first which I had gotten going.

I made the string by getting a few strands the long grass about a foot and a half long and twisting them together, which seemed to work, after that I put some holes in the skin not covers my scales which I had kept some around the scales just for this purpose and weaved the grass through, i needed to do this a few times but in the end it was a perfectly tight fit on my left arm which I could now use as a shield.

With the fire now just coals and the time being around two in the afternoon I decided to cook the armadillo which I had prepared when skinning it. After eating I decided I could get the third creature I needed before dark, and so I was off, looking for about half an hour before coming across a wolf cub at level 0 stuck under a boulder, it was in great pain it seemed and was whimpering, 'man, I kinda feel sorry for the guy' I thought before walking over to the animal "don't worry I'll make it painless, I can see not doing this will just prolong your suffering"

I said before sticking the horn into his neck, a calm expression flowed of the wolf's face and the pain slipped away.

"Grrrr" a deep growl echoed out from behind me, I turned around slowly so see a fully grown wolf, it was half the size of me, I mean Jesus is this how I die?

Then I noticed it was limping, I saw it had a cut leg.

Wait, maybe this is actually a gift, it's a high level creature that seems to be injured making it easier for me, just as I had that thought it pounced using its unharmed hind legs.

"Sh*t" I yelled, i put up my shielded arm and as it bit me I thought my arm would snap, 'this armour wont last long' I thought as blood started to drip from under the armour, my other arm was being pinned down by his working front leg, 'wait his working leg!' I thought, I then pushed as hard as I could, shifting the beasts weight to his injured leg, he tried to put his leg down to support himself but it crumbled under the weight and he fell with an expression on his face saying 'oh f*ck' he fell to his side and I wasted no time stabbing it in the chest, making sure it couldn't get up again, I sat back panting from all the effort and looked at the beast "I'm sorry it was just me or you, and I don't plan on being kill so early in my new life" I knew it couldn't understand me but I knew he saw my reasoning. The wolf is seemed had a collapsed lung from me stabbing it and was heaving and had a painful, fearful expression in its face, I said "I should put you out of your misery, I don't want you to prolong your pain" as I crawled closer to the animal and stabbing it in the neck, "don't worry you'll be with your child soon" I said as the pain in his eyes slipped away
