1 CHAPTER 1 THE BEGINNING
I wasn't a heroic guy rather I was afraid of a lot of things pain, failure, certain insects, snakes you name it. But it was normal right? I mean everybody is afraid of these things no matter how brave you are you will always be afraid of things you don't understand. But I digress after all it's a story not my psychology report.
So my name is Ricky and no that's not my real name, rather just a nickname. My dad is a govt servant while my mother is a housewife. I didn't have any kind of horrible childhood rather it was quite good, parents were loving my sister was supportive, I didn't even save a girl's life by jumping in front of truck-kun. So u can imagine my surprise when a ROB whisked me away in my dream.
It was dark like light had never reached this place. And I was calm I don't know why as I should have been scared like hell but none of my feelings came as I kept trying to analyze everything around me but soon panic started to settle in but before I could cry or wail or do anything embarrassing a voice boomed.
ROB:"Hmm.. You did better than expected. Now before you start questioning me about inconsequential matters and we go back and forth how about you just listen. So first of all yes I am a ROB as u kids say these days and no we won't talk about it any further. Second of all I chose you randomly otherwise karma will be involved and that's not something I want. Now here's the situation some of my colleagues have decided to choose champions don't worry u don't have to spread my faith or something all u need to do is live your life however u see fit u want to be a saint go ahead u want to destroy everything, do it. U can choose 3 abilities and one hour to decide those abilities and no it can't be instant mastery or something like that. Now u can speak."
Me:"...….ummm ok... so here's my questions. Will I have to fight those other people u guys chose."
ROB:"Its not a requirement no but if u run into each other and fight starts we also won't interfere. In the end we'll just be watching. After this u and I will never meet. And chances of u meeting others is quite low as we only chose one from a single universe. Alright now think carefully and choose your abilities. No more questions."
Me:"whoever said ROBs are polite but then again I also don't socialize with ants now do I?"
50 minutes later
I wanted to check something so I asked.
Me:" alright I have decided I want "The Gamer" ability and "Shadow Hack". Is it doable?"
ROB:"of course not because it won't work as they are both abilities that will reside in your soul and your mortal soul can't bear those. So choose something else."
Me:"well what if for my third wish I ask to let "shadow hack" hack "The Gamer", will it work?"
ROB:"normally no as chances of it happening naturally is less than 0.1% but if u are utilizing the third wish then I can use my powers to make sure that this particular condition happens, but are u sure these are your choices?"
Me:"Yes. These abilities have incredible potential and shadow hack will take away the upper level of the gamer's ability. The so called level cap. But on the other hand I will have to find ways to upgrade shadow hack that is if my conjecture is right."
ROB:"It is.
Me:"there is one more thing I want to ask. Will I be able to go to other universes specially the anime or movie ones, provided that they actually exist."
ROB:"I won't be using my powers to help you if that's what u are asking. But they do exist and if u can find a way to travel to them then I also won't be stopping u. Like I said your life is yours."
Me:"Alright then I don't have any more questions."
ROB:" Good. Tomorrow morning u will wake up with your powers."
And I was kicked out from that realm. Next morning when I woke up I was greeted with a very distinct sound.
[Ding! Congratulation user SHADOW GAMER ability has been granted to you. And a last gift was given to you by ROB by upgrading the SHADOW GAMER to LEVEL 2.]
I really didn't know how to react at first but after a couple of minutes I was able to utter the fabled words.

Then happiness that I was experiencing was not something that could be put into words. Then I said "Skills."

THIS ABILITY LETS THE USER STAY CALM UNDER COMBAT SITUATIONS. BUT THIS ABILITY HAS BEEN CHANGED A LITTLE DUE TO SHADOW HACK'S INTERFERENCE AS NOW IT CAN BE TURNED ON AND OFF. THIS ABILITY ALSO PROTECTS THE MIND FROM ANY OUTSIDE INTERFERENCE.
SHADOW GAMER'S EVOLUTIONARY BODY (MAX)
THIS ABILITY GIVES THE USER A BODY WITH UNLIMITED POTENTIAL.
Ok, so the abilities are changed just as I suspected and for the better as the old gamer's body was too outlandish and the gamer mind was downright scary in some of the fanfics I read. Suddenly a mouth splitting grins comes on my face as I say.
Me:"Alright then SHADOW HACK FOR ME!"
