Looking through the water release notes and scrolls Rei got from the Anbu archives, it states that it is possible to draw water source from underground provided that there is. It is still would be hopeless though if he fights in the desert so that's definitely one of the worst place Rei can fight in.

Aside from that drawing water from the air would be possible if the said person has a kekkai genkai to turn it into ice, but the second Hokage might have done it without the use of of kekkai genkai. It could also be a false report, since the person in question can summon water outside of his body due to his massive chakra reserves and mastery of the nature the transformation.

Water can be hard as well which he already knows because of his water armor technique but then it could even be harden than normal depending on the user's mastery of water release.

later on, in the notes he even found out how he could increase the density and viscosity of the water through chakra control to change the nature of the technique. which is similar when modifying his genjutsu techniques like the leaf style willow combining it with the principles of his other D-rank technique Demonic illusion: death mirage technique. And make Demonic Illusion: death from multiple angles.

Rei: Interesting I should probably work on this along with all the others, once my chakra control reach high levels I wonder if I could modify techniques easily. -Rei thought to himself.

After fumbling through the other two water release technique scroll for a while the "water release: water prison technique", which he manages to learn in two days and "water release: water weapons" that took him more than a week. Rei's father Mokich arrived.

Mokichi: That's pretty good Rei, you're able to use a B-rank ninjutsu this early.

Rei: I thought it would consume a lot of chakra, Dad.

Mokichi: Not all high rank techniques consume a lot of chakra some just needs a lot of control. Specially with water once there's already enough water around the chakra consumption would greatly decrease, there are some though that needs both to produce a devastating effect.

Rei: Is it possible to bring water?

Mokichi: That's definitely possible, you just have to learn enclosing technique to seal things. In your case large amount of water can be sealed on scrolls or paper with fuinjutsu then release it using unsealing technique. Don't worry I'll teach you my techniques slowly, aside from that we have to start teaching your little sister in the ways of the ninja sooner.

Rei: She's got ninja tigers Dad... what could possibly go wrong when she becomes a ninja in the future.

Mokichi: One's strength is still needed even if you have such strong companions, besides those two tigers could be treated as family we protect them and they'll protect us too.

After mastering the three-water release technique that Rei got from Anbu archives, Rei decided not to push through with the modification of his techniques first, since there's no way he'll need extremely deadly techniques for now.

Rei decided to continue practicing the base form of all his techniques to gain experience and raise his spiritual energy to solve his current problem, but he also can't stop training his body as well since this is his current trump card.

These days though most of Rei's time is consumed in learning medical knowledge from the library, which he does with the help of his shadow clone to speed up the process. Constant use of ninjutsu for experience, studying for sharpening his mind, and daily meditation with these three Rei might just be one step closer to solving his imbalance quality of physical energy and spiritual energy.

Walking back from the library Rei bumped into Naruto.

Naruto: Rei, how is it going? -Naruto asked Rei happily since the vacation started he hasn't meet Rei for quite some time.

Rei: Still the same, but these days I study a lot. -he answered looking exhausted.

Naruto: It's vacation time why are you studying? -Naruto asked with a sound of confusion.

Rei: It's something I have to do so that you guys don't leave me in the dust in the future.

Naruto: But you and Seiho are so much stronger than us already.

Rei: That wouldn't stay the same if I don't train hard enough, since I'm pretty sure you'll even surpass me in the future.

Naruto: With the rate it's going now I'm not sure, since I can't even use ninjutsu.

Rei: Try to meditate and do the leaf concentration more besides you're the only person I know who could even escape from jonins.

Naruto: uuhhmmm, I don't know what you are talking about. - Naruto answered a little bit embarrassed.

Rei: You've been painting the Hokage rock with scribbles all this time and doing a lot of pranks, come on there's no need to hide it from me. Let's go grab some Ramen!

Rei forced Naruto to have some ramen with him, but Naruto couldn't help but decline and said that he doesn't have money to pay for his share anymore. When Rei heard Naruto's decline he was puzzled since Naruto loved ramen so much, but then he heard that Naruto's reason of not having enough money to pay for his meal, he decided to drag him anyway.

Rei decided to pay for Naruto's share since allowance is not his problem at all as long as he asked and not use it buy junk foods or weird stuff. Naruto talked about a lot of things from how he escapes from his pursuers when pranking, how he's scared of Iruka finding out his pranks, to how he spends his time when he's not training with him during last school year which he confesses that he plays with Kiba, Choji, Shikamaru in the playgrounds.

After listening to Naruto's story, Rei was thankful that somehow things are still the same with the canon but the training methods he shared to him might just messed things up. Rei insist that Naruto should definitely meditate and practice Leaf concentration frequently, so he could control his chakra.

Naruto has already a huge amount of chakra that it is already hard for him to control, if he is also plagued by the imbalance which Rei is suffering from all that chakra would be useless. Even if Naruto's almost limitless chakra is supposed to be a cheat, if he couldn't even use ninjutsu properly because of his lack of control things might just take turn for the worst. Specially that he hasn't learn shadow clone technique yet, which made up for all the things he lacked during his younger years without having a proper teacher.

After spending some time with Naruto, Rei continued to toil his days like a slave for training and medical education. A few days before the end of the school break Rei was able to have an initial success with the "healing technique" which could heal a person when the healing light passes over the wounded area.

The technique was not as amazing as "Mystical Palm Technique", but it's enough to keep someone from dying as long as the person's not wounded severely. Aside from his achievement in medical ninjutsu, Rei has made some advancement in water release where he now could somehow increase the density of the water to a certain extent.

Rei hopes to be able to reach the manipulation of its density to the very pinnacle so that the internal damage his techniques can do would be much higher. Rei's physical prowess has been increasing steadily as well, since he can now move normally at three times his weight with the help of his bracers.

These little increments would accumulate, Rei just hopes that somehow it would be enough to make a difference in the fourth great ninja war and the troubles that he might face in the future.

Walking around the hidden leaf about to buy his new favorite dango, Rei realizes that he hasn't touch the lightning release scroll that he has. Rei now wonders if he has enough time to learn it, since he knows for sure that picking up a new basic nature transformation release is not an easy task.

Sure, it looked so easy when Sasuke learned the chidori in the canon but the guy has a sharingan which made things easier for him. Rei now wonders how those who didn't have a cheat like sharingan master all the five basic nature transformations.

Rei went home and tried to learn Lightning nature transformation on his own but figuring things in such condition is not the best idea, even with his current level of chakra control transforming his chakra into lightning doesn't come as easy. Since Rei doesn't even have the slightest idea on how the chakra should move inside his body. Hopeless from his current situation his father suddenly arrives.

Mokichi: What are you doing?

Rei: Trying out lightning release... didn't know it was this hard to learn basic nature transformation that's not your affinity.

Mokichi: Of course, it is... Did you think it would be as easy?

Rei: But the Third Hokage learned all the five basic element transformation, Dad.

Mokichi: That's why he is the Hokage, I heard you went to see him this afternoon?

Rei: I thought he could teach me, but I didn't even manage to get into his office.

Mokichi: Just work on it slowly for the meantime, son. Let's work on something else today.

Mokichi taught Rei the silent killing technique and assassination techniques that day, which he promised when his son learned the hiding by the mist technique.

To his surprise Rei's picking it up much faster than he did when he trained the skill back in the day in Anbu. Mokichi warned his son not to get complacent that he learned the techniques quite easily, since there are those who are masters of this technique that has an unimaginable killing streak.

Constant training of the skill would be his assurance that he wouldn't get killed by opponents who use the same skill quite easily and much more advance. In Rei's point of view the skill would definitely help him out since assassination might just be one of his best assets with his mastery of water release. Hiding in water won't be a problem, by mist, or by rain since the principle is almost the same and delivering killing strokes with his knew found knowledge in medicine would become easy.

In addition to that his master Chen has trained him to react on things much faster and conceal his intents when fighting.

Rei didn't let his father off after teaching him the two techniques he asked him for guidance in water release as well, and basic fuinjutsu. Which the man gladly spend time in explaining piece by piece but after all their talks, Mokichi entrusted Shizuku's training to Rei for a bit since it is currently impossible to take a leave from the Anbu division with how things are going.

Rei responded quickly and agreed but worried at the same time since going by the time of the canon, things are really getting hot with the Uchiha clan. The Uchiha clan's plan of rebellion is something that the village cannot take lightly since if they weren't prevented or massacred like in the canon, things will get ugly for the village, who knows what number of casualty it will produce since the clan is an army of sharingan users which Rei thinks that is a much troublesome enemy compared to byakugan users.

Even if Rei knows how things will go generally he doesn't have any idea on when the exact time is and going against Danzo or warning the Hokage is just plain stupid. Because who would believe a child, Rei could try to weave a complicated piece of lie but with the Anbu's presence in the hidden leaf and information network he'll just become suspicious with their findings, which he would gladly avoid at all cost since the downfall of the Uchiha clan in the canon started from suspicions.

Rei could only drop a few hints or clues at most but is reluctant to do it, since the event itself is kind of crucial for everything to fall in place and with his current progress of improvement he is not confident that he could fill in the holes that would be affected by his actions.

Rei swore to himself that when the time comes that he had enough strength to prevent tragic things from happening that he would do so.
