12 Genius

Another day starts in the Miyazato Household where training never stops for Rei and his father. A smile appeared on Mokichi's face appearing very satisfied with Rei's attitude in training and his attempt to improve even a little bit every day.

Mokichi would like to increase the intensity of Rei's training but dismissed the idea right away since his son is way too young it might affect his development the time will naturally come when training with just his body would not be enough and his son will surely seek training methods to improve his physical abilities. The father and son duo morning training has finished and the time for their breakfast would soon come so the two hurried to clean up to be in time. At the breakfast table the family is eating merrily.

Rei's now absent mindedly eating at the table thinking about how he's reached his current skill level. Training hard is the number one factor that got him where he is now for a four-year-old child having his skills is already quite the achievement if you don't include the real geniuses of the shinobi world. Mokichi's teachings keep him on the right track and with his experiences of breaking through his limits with life and death situations got him where he is.

So, Rei ponders if he really should actively seek out danger but with his rotten luck he might just die prematurely so before actively seeking out such adventures he has to improve his strength and prepare countless things to help him survive. Pushing himself to limit is one way to improve but if you die actively seeking it with no preparations is just plain stupid.

Mokichi: I just remembered deciding on something without telling you three.

Fuyuki: well shizuku doesn't count because she doesn't understand things yet but it's good you always keep her in mind.

Shizuku just plafully eats her breakfast ignoring them mentioning her name and made nibbling sounds while eating.

Rei: what was it dad?

Mokichi: Remember when I looked for the tiger's den, I actually found two tiger cubs that are four-weeks-old at most.

Fuyuki: what did you do with it?

Mokichi: At that time, I decided to bring them with me to lure the tiger out but now that their parents are dead it's unlikely for them to survive since we were sort of responsible for that I decided to take care of them and train them to be like ninken but in this case tigers.

Rei: That sounds awesome dad but they are really wild in nature won't it be hard to train them?

Mokichi: Don't worry about it the inuzuka has wolves for ninken so I don't think it'll be that hard besides we're raising them so they'll probably treat us as family.

Fuyuki: As much as I don't want to agree with it because it'll remind me of a horrible memory of rei's injury but I also pity two tiger cubs dying in the wild with no fighting chance. Besides what can I do you already decided on it you better keep it away from shizuku though if it grows up aggressive

Mokichi: don't be mad dear I'll be sure to raise it properly so it doesn't harm us and people that doesn't threaten anyone from our household and thank you so much dear. Rei, are you ok with it?

Rei: they're not going to bite me, right?

Mokichi: HAHAHA! don't worry I'll train them to be shinobi tigers we sure could summon them in the future besides tigers are natural assassins stalking their preys in the jungle and striking when the time is right and with great battle prowess they'll make good shinobi tigers they can even protect our family.

As the family finish their breakfast they now prepare to go to the Miyano household and bring some souvenirs from their recent trip. Rei is actually excited to meet his godfather he remembers seeing him for the first time when he was just an infant with his brown skin, tied back black hair, angular face, and tall build he's quite excited because he knows for sure that he'll care for him like his parents does at the same time he longs to meet a young shinobi friend who he could train with. The Miyazato family arrive at the Miyano household and rei's god father looking like how he remembers except aging a bit due to may stress and work as an anbu.

Miyano Kata: Mokichi you guys finally made it to my place what took you so long?

Mokichi: It's a long story we were supposed to be visiting some time ago but you know our trip to yashina village is quite the story.

Kata: We have all the time to talk about it later then.

Mokichi: yeap, by the way this two are my kids.

Mokichi pointed out to Rei and Shizuku.

Kata: it's a good thing that majority of their features is inherited from their mother.

Mokichi: That's too much!

Fuyuki: I'm happy about it though honey, I can't imagine my kids looking so manly after all -giggles teasingly.

It's true though Fuyuki is really quite the looker having black hair, oval face, amber eyes, fair skin and light build she's just like what you would call a princess from fairytales. Mokichi on the other hand got a manly angular face, brown haired, fair skin, blue eyes.

Kata: look what if shizuku or rei got your face huh?! good thing rei only got your hair color and shizuku got only your eye color. it's really a good thing that rei's hair is not going wild spiky like yours - kata laughs

Rei was really laughing on the inside this godfather of his was really teasing his father he thinks that his godfather probably is taking revenge for him well revenge because his father has antics of "bullying" him in training and shameless teasing at home. Well that could really happen since mokichi and kata are really close his father might just talk about how he plays with his son.

Kata: let's go inside I'll introduce you to my son too, well I got a wife and two other kids but they're off doing shinobi things you'll get to meet them sometime later.

Mokichi: your youngest son's here?

Kata: Just a little bit older than rei remember he was born when we were on a mission two months before rei was born.

Kata lead the Miyazato family into his home, while in drinking tea and distracting the kids with toys and books which didn't have an effect on rei who just stayed there looking after shizuku the adults then went rambling about a lot of things. Later that time Mokichi and kata talked about their trip to yashina village that surprised even kata about rei's mental fortitude in the face of his very first life and death combat most of the fresh graduate from the academy struggles during their first battle but rei who wasn't even in the academy reacted excellently and the stories he learned about rei impressed him.

Kata: you looked really proud mokichi.

Mokichi: yeap, I guess he'll be one heck of shinobi in the future.

Kata: I think so as well. I think it'll be benefical for my son and rei to be friends.

Mokichi: Yeah, but that kid's quite the genius.

Kata: Having double affinity in fire and earth, which he got each one from us his parents mine in earth and fire with my wife sure would make him a genius but his attitude towards training is alarming.

Mokichi: it's really amazing hearing it even though I've heard it for the second time. Right I think I'll have to test rei with his affinity if he ends ups being dual element genius as well that'll be a homerun we'll both have kids who are geniuses then hahahaha!

Kata: genius is nothing if they don't develop to do that they have to train hard you know that rather I'd like it more if my son has half of rei's discipline towards training...

Rei heard what his godfather just said that his supposed to be first shinobi friend is a dual element genius, meanwhile he doesn't even know his affinity. The idea of element affinity is now bothering rei because his plans would greatly revolve in it what techniques to learn and how he should fight in the future. Rei also thought that having a dual affinity is like cheating they get to learn techniques much faster in two elements just what did his mother ate when he was being concieved that he ended up with that kind of talent rei complained in his head. While rei was thinking on how unfair life is the person with the dual element arrives.

Kata: This is my son seiho. seiho say hi to the miyazato family.

Miyano Seiho: hello, everyone!

Miyano Seiho has black hair, fair skin, brown eyes, angular face he looks a lot like his father except from his fair skin. Rei look at seihowith a smile because finally he might just have his first shinobi friend and someone to train with at this point he's pretty sure they'll be comrades since seiho is his godfather's child having someone that talented that has your back in this shinobi world is just the blessing he needs. Rei remembers that seiho slacks off in his training but that will all have to change since he needs him to be strong so that they could help each other survive with that in mind rei's preparaed to play along and drag him to train if he has to.

Rei: hello!

Seiho: hi!

Their first exchange of words just looked so awkward...

Rei: do you want to play with me?

Seiho: ok!

Mokichi and Kata looked at their kids playing sometimes as shinobis another time hide and seek they both saw that rei was very patient and follows along the two kids played most of the morning, and even after lunch seiho just wanted to rest a little then play again for the whole afternoon. Kata thinks that it's about time seiho learns that talent is not everything some people who trains consistently becomes ridiculously strong Mokichi and kata witness and was amaze by that old man chen being a taijutsu master in the previous war and now there's another one with a scary taijutsu prowess a young man by the name of might guy they all achieve that mastery in taijutsu with constant training and breaking their limits.

Seiho becoming a shinobi is a must because of his natural talent but he has to understand that having talent that isn't nurtured wouldn't really show its power in a fight and the only thing it could manifest its full potential is if you train it sounds selfish that a child doesn't have a choice but to become a soldier but the village needs every capable hand and talent to defend its people and their interest. Kata plans to make Seiho understand the importance of training through rei his godson and the newfound friend of his son maybe they'll have fun training together.

Kata: Seiho do you like being friends with Rei?

Seiho: Yeah, I love to play with him because he can always keep up with me. Unlike the children I play with outside. I can't really play with them now because I've become much more athletic than them.

Kata: Then I think you can play with rei more if you two train together, right mokichi?

Mokichi: that's for sure.

Seiho: realy!!! would you play with me more if we train together... But training really sucks since they are too easy to do.

Rei: they are easy? uuhhmm if you like you can teach me!

Seiho: oh, that can be fun as well!

Kata: Seiho do you want to have a contest with rei... like which one of you is faster or who could hit more targets or the bullseye? you can even have contest in sparring!

Seiho: that sounds fun... ok, rei do you want to do it?

rei thought about doing training competitions with seiho but as witty as he was with his mature mind he needs to add something in the competition.

Rei: Sounds fun but won't it be more fun if there are prizes like toys or snacks... maybe new techniques.

Seiho: Right rei that sounds awesome we get snacks and toys... but then if we learn new ninjutsu we'll have something new to compete on for more prizes!

when rei heard seiho's reply he knew that his plan worked the more ninjutsu he knows the better versatility he would have to deal with different circumstances.

Kata: Ok, that would be the prize from now on!

Seiho: Mom said I'm a genius so I'm pretty sure I'll win all the prizes! - seiho sounded childish but a little bit cocky.

Kata: would you like to spar with rei now?

Seiho: ok, let's go rei!

The group then went to the backyard of the miyano household where they usually train their shinobi skills. Rei and Seiho stood face to face to each other.

Mokichi: let's teach them the traditional rules of shinobi sparring since they're both the same age.

Kata: that's just right.

Kata then explain the rules of shinobi sparring to the little shinobi in training he explains the importance of the seal of confrontation

and the seal of reconcilation. which looked like the two young shinobi in training vaguely understand, but in rei's case he completely understands the importance since he already read about it in his previous life. seiho and rei were both allowed to use shinobi tools that's used or sparring since they are still both kids and no medic ninja is present even with two jonin by the side would not be able to save them if hit in vital spot, sure they can prevent that from happening but safety should come first.

Seiho and Rei made the seal of confrontation then walk backwards until their distance from each other reach five meters. When the signal to start the fight was announced seiho dashed towards rei swing his kunai in a hacking motion. Rei just stood there and parried seiho's attack since he didn't really find it necessary to dashed forward and clash with seiho. Realizing that his kunai was easily blocked seiho kick with his right foot towards rei's mid-section. Rei reacted by stepping back and throwing three shurikens towards seiho's body, which surprised Seiho on how rei could execute what he did that fast.

Seiho didn't have a choice but to use "body replacement technique" to dodge the incoming shurikens. Rei was surprise that seiho has the same skill level he has in using "body replacement technique" using it instantly, which was quite unfair because it took him two life and death encounter to reach his current level. Upon dodging Seiho wanted to counter attack right away because he didn't want to be on the losing end so he use a C-rank ninjutsu "Earth Release: Rock Gun Technique" bullets made of rocks flew towards rei he didn't know if he could just deflect it with shurikens so he tried sparking flash and shuriken flying in wrong directions due to being hit by rock bullets was the result of rei's decision.

Rei's shuriken wasn't able to deflect the bullets at all maybe lack strength in throwing his weapons or what he thought was just plain impossible so using he's natural speed he dashed towards his left to dodge seiho's ninjutsu.

Seiho wasn't done yet he knew that rei would be able to dodge his rock bullet's so he decided to cast another c-rank ninjutsu "Fire Release: Flame Bullet". Rei was dodging towards his left when suddenly the temperature rises he knew for sure that there's something bad approaching him realizing it was seiho's fire release ninjutsu he complained in his mine I haven't learned C-rank ninjutsu yet and this guy is already shooting me up with an earth release and fire release. Rei responded with a "body replacement technique" to dodge the fire release cast by seiho.

Seiho look for rei after realizing where he is he had second thoughts about using another ninjutsu since he already cast two and is now on his last chakra reserve for another C-class. Rei saw seiho looking at him intensely so he thought it would be the right time for him to counterattack so he uses his newly learned Genjutsu "Leaf-Style Willow" seeing seiho stepping back and confused rei use "body flicker to instantly close the distance and point his kunai towards seiho's neck.

Kato: winner rei!

Seiho: How did that happen... dad is rei a genius too?

Kato: son doesn't mean you lost a match your opponent would be a genius too some just trained so hard in their basics like taijutsu and bukijutsu didn't you feel like you were outmatched by rei in close combat that's why you resorted into using long range attack and you didn't even see him use a C-rank or above ninjutsu against you. If you don't work on your basics you wouldn't even be able to use your ninjutsu in battle.

Seiho: Yeah even with those few exchange I thought he was stronger than me because I dashed with all my might and hacked towards him but he just deflected it like what you do dad then the way he dodged my kick and throwing shurikens mid-air was awesome... but what was that there was suddenly so many blades in front of me... I thought it would hit me.

Mokichi: that was a genjutsu called "Leaf-Style Willow" it consfuses its target which gives the user an opportunity for an attack.

Seiho: that's amazing... how did you do that rei.

Rei: I train hard every day, but you are amazing as well if you train hard you'll probably be even better than me since you can use a C-rank ninjutsu while I can't.

Seiho: Ok, I'll train more then we can spar as well!
