It was now the start of the 5th month, just a few more days left till the transfer to the new world! But any case, this was how the 4th month came along:

After several days of my meeting with Ulbert, I received their reply and was a bit sad to find out that I couldn't obtain the guild, but was overall happy about the items they were willing to sell and apparently even tho Momonga didn't want to sell the guild, he still gave them the items they left in the guild bank to earn some money.

Although the items that momonga gave them couldn't compare to what they had on hand, I still bought it, thinking that I could still use them in the new world, for example smelting down armours or weapons for metals and such.

But I still held off on buying most of the equipment in the game as the players may still have held a sentimental value on the higher grade weapons, so I'm still patiently waiting for the end of the month, where all their hopes for this game to keep on running would be lost.

I did buy a world champion class sword and a rare Divine class status effect weapon that had shown up on the auction though. Although I could have probably waited for them to get cheaper, I was that they would be gone if I were to ignore them now, so I directly contacted their owners and purchase with the same methods as what I did with Ulbert. These were their stats.

After purchasing the items, I couldn't wait to level up and try them on. Worrying about how I could get the [Perfect Warrior] skill to equip the gears, The game suddenly sent a notice that the last ever world tournament to decide the next world champions was gonna be held at the start of the next month in the world of Midgard. Now typically these tournaments were really sought after as its the only chance to acquire the class [World champion].

The [World Champion] is a special job class which also possesses an extremely high fighting ability and is viewed as the strongest warrior class in YGGDRASIL. Moreover, the company will thereafter gift a special piece of equipment to the champions befitting their new class as their prize on winning it. But being one of the strongest job class, the player needs to clear various special conditions to use.

For instance, The player needs to win the tournament held in each respective world, to become a [World Champion]. So only the victor of the developer-sanctioned tournament could possess the class of [World Champion], and with the game only having 9 worlds this means that could only be 9 people to obtain this class.

Hearing this news, I was encouraged to quickly hit max level. So I made a few calls to some of the guilds with max level players and offered them a job to power level me.

So without any breaks at all and having the players work in shifts, I easily reached level 100 pretty easily. Thanks to the combined efforts of 10 shadow clones spread out in different high maps and my posse of players that would lower the mob's hp. To the point where dozens of monsters would die from a single AOE of mine.

For the 3 remaining classes, I chose the [Cleric] and [Paladin] classes, so that I could have a better self-sustain, but the downside is that these two classes also have a bad mana consumption. Meaning that I could only fully heal myself 3 times before running out of juice, and with the game not offering any mana recovery items, it is clear that it had become a clear weakness.

So I took a mage class to increase my mana a little bit, choosing [Elementalist (Light)] to slightly reduce the mana consumption of the healing spells.

I also went back to that old man from the [Fallen's Heritage] quest and got myself 3 new skills.

[Chaos Wisdom: Mastery of a skill with light or darkness attributes would instantly reach 65%.] /AN: not that op, in this world lol, Ainz's Dark wisdom literally increase his skill cap from 300 to 700+/

[Chaos physiology: Physical attacks which aren't imbued by energy will pass through the body] /AN: Kinda like devil fruit users/

[Wings creation: Able to create wings on the users back, does not use mana for flight.]

Jan was now seating in the waiting area waiting for his final match in the World Tournament to start. While watching the other matches Jan pulled up his status window.

Holy dark ball: Shoots out an orb of arcane lace with dark and holy magic.

Chaos Mastery: Allows the player to learn chaos magic, and improves its effectiveness by 25%

Dark Vision: Allows the player to see in the dark

Grigori: This skill can inspect all life forms within its area of effect. All minute details and changes in the environment can be felt. It is also able to produce an area of invisibility to the user. However, the user must not make any movements nor cause any mana fluctuations, since it will cause the invisibility to fail.

Summon Servants: A skill that allows the user to summon a multitude of different fallen servants

Chaos Wisdom: Mastery of a skill with light or darkness attributes would instantly reach 65%.

Chaos physiology: Physical attacks which aren't imbued by energy will pass through the body

Wings creation: Able to create wings on the users back, does not use mana for flight.

Other Skills: Bloodbath (passive skill): Each attack will absorb a certain amount of HP. There will also be a certain chance of causing a Bleeding Effect on the target.

Creation: It is a super-tier spell that could change the terrain itself.

Fallen Down: Upon casting the super-tier spell, Player calls upon a huge pillar of blue light from the sky that will burn so bright and hot that it will appear like the whole world has turned white. After a few seconds, it will leave behind an area burned to a cinder, devoid of life. This spell deals massive damage, especially to an undead-type enemy.

Wish Upon A Star: A super-tier spell which consumes the user's experience points to grant a wish or more.

Pantheon: Once cast, this super-tier spell allows the user to summon forth six level 80, "Cherubims Gate Keeper" with holy-type magic under his full command.

The beautiful announcer was back on the stage and announced that the finale will begin soon. The pairing was already shown on the screen.

Jan Smith Tian Long vs Thatoneguy

In the crowds watching the tournament, A guy wearing a red armour commented about the final matchup.

"Well looks like we know who would win. I really feel sorry for the newbie for versing the Prince of winning"

Hearing the guy's opinion, a girl wearing a blue armoured couldn't help but ask

"Is Thatoneguy really that strong?"

The guy seeing that a beauty was talking to him, immediately replied while thinking on how he could lengthen their conversation.

"Let me see how to put it... So I've been seen him participated in several other event tournaments and I've also been match with him thrice. During those times I never saw him lose a match."

"Hmmnn... if he's never lost before, then does that means that you lost to him, all three times?"

The girl shoots the guy a teasing smile.

"As if! All three times, we didn't fight. Whenever he meets a strong opponent, he runs away."

"Hah? What the hell?"

"He makes sure to never fight against an opponent that he has a chance of losing to. He only participates in fights with the guaranteed victory and the other ones? He just forfeits. His nickname is 'The Prince of Winning.' After all, it's true that he would never lose."

The girl barks out a laugh

"Hahaha doesn't that mean that his just a coward? So that silver-haired guy could still win"

"Not quite, maybe."

The guy smiles with only one corner of his mouth.

"Hmm, what do you mean?"

"It's true the prince only fights opponents that he's sure to win, and climbs tournaments that way. However, he's actually even won the championship in several small-scale tournaments."

"Hou... so he's not really that weak."

The guy's eyes turn sharp.

"Indeed. His strength is in accurately gauging difference in strength. And he did not forfeit the match with that newbie. In other words..."

"I get it."

The girl then came to a realization and commented

"hehehe this has gotten interesting."

"Yea it has hahaha"

They both laugh as the two directed their full attention to the arena. But if one were to look closely, they would notice that the two were now sitting even closer than before, that their shoulders were now touching each other.

Jan's Pov

"Final Match: Jan Smith Tian Long vs Thatoneguy! Battle... start!!"

Amidst a rain of cheers, Thatoneguy and I were transferred to the arena at the same time. My black feathers began flying as our battle robes and capes flowed in the wind. Making a very cinematic scene, this was truly a long-awaited final battle.

Thatoneguy looked at me smugly, brandished his longsword and lets out a laugh.

"Hehehe looks like I can finally achieve my dream of becoming a world champion. Hahaha prepare your self-newbie"

I lifted my sword, point it at him and smirked.

"Let's see about that"

A timer then appeared in front of our screens counting down from 10.

1....

Once the countdown dropped to zero.

"Come at me!" Thatoneguy challenged while giving me a 'come here' gesture. He strolled over, neither rushing nor tarrying his steps and just calmly chuckled along the way. His demeanour seemed to be saying to all, 'Give me your best shot, I have no openings', and to me, it looked as though there was no hole in his defence.

Seeing that he was clearly underestimating me, I also stepped forward and flashed my blade in a weak test attack. So that I could get a basic idea of our range, while also lowering his guard even further than it probably already is.

Sparks flew as Thatoneguy lightly warded off the hit. He then countered swiftly; his blade was like a shadow. With a sweep of my body, I dodged the attack and lightly stabbed my Sword forward!

Thatoneguy knocked it away again, but this time, his body suddenly burst forward and his speed abruptly increased. The rhythm of his attack swiftly changed as his long sword began to burn in wild flames; it was the prelude to [Flame Blade]!

"Wahahaha! Take this, Flame Blade!"

Seeing his haphazard swing, I quickly took advantage of his attack by using a defensive form of Shigure Soen Ryu

"2nd form: Sakamaku Ame"

While slashing my sword upwards, a wall of water was created following the sword trail, completely obscuring prince's view of me.

Without any target the prince just blindly slashed the wall of water and ended up creating a mist of steam from the heated sword colliding with the wall of water.

Using the steam as cover, I quickly circled around him and started the chant for the skill [Grand Catastrophe], while I prepared to use an offensive form of Shigure Soen Ryu to damage him in between the casting.

"3rd form: Yarazu no Ame"

"Thicken the air with his ashes, Grand Catastrophe!"

Seeing that he left himself opened, I dropped my sword down towards my feet and kicked it, sending it flying towards his neck, causing a critical hit.

After successfully hitting him with the sword, I finished the chanting of [Grand Catastrophe].

This was the first time ever that I was casting this skill so I was pretty excited at what it looks like.

Aiming the skill using the UI, a huge black sphere suddenly appeared enveloping Thatoneguy in its radius, which was followed quickly by several strikes of lightning that came down from the sky and ended with a huge pillar of fire which burned so bright that the entire arena has turned white.

"H-How...This was supposed to be my win..."

"My god this skill looks awesome!"

Thatoneguy's knees weakened and he suddenly knelt to the ground. His last bit of health had disappeared.

I was then teleported to a pedestal in the middle of the arena to receive my reward.
